Location was excellent. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Free Shuttle service
No view from our room
Elegant fittings, very pretty and comfortable rooms, splendid terrace with charming panorama. Gentle and professional personnel.
We loved our hotel. Staff was very friendly and the location was fabulous.
The staff welcomes you with open arms...and it just gets better after that! We walked into our room (wow!) And the first thing you see is the view. Trust me. No really. Trust me. This is a view you don't want to miss! We are traveling all over Italy. This is the place we shall return to. Plus, as if that weren't enough, there are fabulous shops and restaurants within walking distance. That's if you even want to leave the hotel. Loved this more than Cinque Terre.
There was nothing.
I have no complaints, I would go back in a second
Friendly staff, stunning location .
We loved the friendly & accommodating staff. Our family of 5 room was upgraded to adjoining suites. The beach & bar service was excellent & breakfast outstanding. Loved this accommodation. Would love to go back.
The location The view The breakfast area The staff
The air con in our room was so noisy we could not run it at night as it was impossible to sleep through the racket it made and if we did we needed to use ear plugs.
The views from the main parts of the building were stunning. The location of the hotel was excellent. The lady at the check out desk on our last day was vaguely more helpful than anyone else had been.
Where do I start on our appalling stay at Miramare. Service was appalling. Despite emailing in advance to ask for gluten free breakfast options, and reminding the staff at check in, I was given some crackers as the only option for half of our stay. Every other 3 and 4 star hotel had between 5 and 15 different gluten free options for breakfast so I was pretty shocked that a hotel which was three times the price of every other hotel we booked in Italy, came up with something so pitiful. Despite asking for some bread after the first morning, the same crackers were offered as breakfast again on day 2. The coffee was burnt every morning and we had to get up to ask for tea and coffee each day as no one came near our table. There was absolutely no information on the hotel, it's facilities or what was available in the local area in our room, which was standard in every other 3 and 4 star hotel we stayed in. The Wifi didn't even work in the main parts of the building. There was no mirror or bin in our bedroom, we were not impressed very loud air con, or the residual smell of drains or sewage in the main parts of the building throughout our stay. Despite paying well above average everywhere else for the privilege of having a private beach, there were not enough sun beds for us to have one each on the first day. There was no iron available in the whole building (we were told they had a laundry service which was chargeable), again a standard in every other hotel I have every stayed in. I asked to speak to a manager in three occasions during our stay and was always told s/he was not available. I asked to be phoned as we checked out and did not hear anything. I phoned two weeks later and am still awaiting my return phone call. Overall a hugely disappointing stay.
Junior suit excellent . Views as good as they were on last visit 40 years ago!
Later use of double room to side of hotel.
My wife and I have stayed at the Miramare 5-6 times, every time a relaxing time and a gastronomic success. With the Cinque Terre so close, there is every reason to stay in Sestri if you are to visit the Cinque Terre. Miramare is right on its private beach to the stunningly beautiful Baia del Silenzio.
The private beach, helpful staff and a fantastic breakfast.
Hard beds and bad internet
Excellent location; great breakfast; very good having the private beach as a little haven from the busier parts of the beach.
Wifi coverage was limited in the bedroom; the hotel was always clean but is quite tired in places.
The location was wonderful with a stunning view. We arrived early to a very friendly and efficient receptionist. Our car was parked for us. We were allowed in to the room early and nothing was too much trouble. The food and wine in the restaurant is incredible and we even had a table on the beach.Breakfast is ideal .We had an aperitivo relaxing in the bar overlooking the beach which was perfect. Sunbeds are allocated and staff are helpful.
The family suite is in bad need of re-furbishment and it looked like it didn't belong to the same hotel. It was uncomfortable with poor pillows and mis matched bedclothes .For the price we paid this was a disappointment. It was however a good size.
Beautiful little bay. Delightful room - junior suite.
Pricey food and lodgings, in comparison to other places. Reception staff friendly, but other staff not so much . Tiny shower.
The best thing about this hotel is the position and view. It is right on the sea. The staff was extremely nice and the hotel was very clean. You can tell that this was an important hotel in its day. The restaurant terrace was one of the prettiest I've ever seen with it's ficus tree canopy and view.
The bathrooms and shower could use remodelling as could the furniture. It's a bit tired although it is maintained as their looked like the hotel was repainted recently.
The location is fantastic
Execellent location" staff were very friendly indeed, room was very clean and had more than enough towels in bathroom, breakfast buffet very good selection of meats, cheeses, fruit and breads. We dined in the restaurant excellent fresh fish on offer and the pasta was something else. Wine selection was very good and myself and my wife tried many wines. Hotel management were very keen to meet and exceed all our requirements nothing to much trouble at all, also hotel offered free shuttle car to main train station. Would highly recommend to all of any age with or with out children.
Only negative was no tea or coffee in room, but was able to order through room service.
It is quite nice small hotel right on the beach side with its private piece of beach line, sun beds and towels. Very friendly and polite staff especially young guys serving breakfast! Great room for watching World Cup football games. Clean and spacious rooms.
The hotel feels slightly overpriced. A/C didn't work properly because of an open door sensor in room 306 (promised to be fixed soon). Restaurant is definitely overpriced, though a huge lobster was cooked excellent.
The beach! Swimming just outside and having good dinner on the beach.
A somewhat snorky receptionist at night. Problems with wifi.
Was on the first floor & only a garden view for the money was ok. However, the view is romantic & it is very relaxing. The wine selection was good & would definitely recommend the hotel. Lovely
location was really good. We had a sea view room overlooking the bay and beach. Just beautiful!
It was VERY warm in the room. And the water in teh shower was very hot and difficult to get a shower in.
I stayed at this hotel with my 17 year old daughter for 3 nights. It was wonderful, an amazing location, delicious food and incredibly helpful and charming staff. We will definitely go back.
