Located right on the seafront, the prestigious Grand Hotel Vesuvio overlooks the Gulf of Naples, the island of Capri and Mount Vesuvius. These views can be admired from its rooftop restaurant.
Score from 744 reviews Excellent
The hotel itself is charming. The staff could not have been more attentive and accommodating. The rooftop breakfast is excellent. The view across the bay is spectacular.
We had a lot of trouble with the A/C. One time it simply didn't come on and we had to call the desk. It was too weak even when working. It seems like during the day the A/C is turned off for the whole hotel.
Comfortable bed Excellent location Generally quiet Helpful staff
Breakfast- poor/ inconsistent. Room very small- wide range of rooms. Probably very hot in summer. Average value for money
Breakfast on the terrace was delicious and gave us a lovely last memory of Naples.
Public trannsport non existent. So we faced taxis or very long walks from far away metro stops.
This building is almost 200 years old and has been owned by one family for over 50 years. It shows with the friendly staff, amazing location across the street from the ocean and close to downtown Naples. The rooftop breakfast was to die for. Awesome
The only thing i thought was missing was a book about the history of this amazing building. And of course the family who have owned and run this hotel for over 50 years.
Rooms had balconies with sea view. The larger than single bed was very comfortable and the rooms was clean. The service was impeccable - very attentive staff.
location. Old house. Nice breakfast. small balcony in shade from strong sun. Nice sheets and bed. Friendly helpful staff. Felt very safe in this Hotel
Bit small and slightly worn room but overall very good value. Super comfortable, slept really well
nice place on boulevard, nice staff, excellent breakfast
room without view, not very clean, old
This is an excellent hotel well located. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and caring. My wife became ill and needed a doctor the hotel sorted everything and for us it seemed they went the extra mile. Fortunately it was a passing problem and when she up and around the staff genuinely asked after her.
Views from hotel Breakfast terrace Old style of hotel Wifi Friendly staff
decor was very poor....1970's feel and I don't think it has been updated since...your headboard on the bed is a mirror!! Air conditioning was centrally controlled and was very loud in the room Bathrooms are tiny...hard to turn around in there Car parking is in another building, is extra, and as they pack the cars in you have to wait for a long time before they can dig yours out...
Fabuous location on lungomare. Charming hotel. Lovely breakfast and view on terrace/balcony. View of bay from bedroom's balcony. Wonderful fine linen sheets. Helpful owner and staff. Safety, as door to hotel kept locked.Welcome prosecco.
Couldn't get wifi to work in room but worked well in reception/sitting area. Suggest clearer information for use of the safe.
Wonderful location with amazing view of Vesuvius and Bay of Naples from our room. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable
Decor was a little tired, but this didn't detract from our stay.
The hotel is well located for attractions in Naples. The view of the mountain is beautiful. Breakfast is great. Hotel staff were very helpful and would recommend this hotel.
Not much little bit out dated but that give it the charm. Fantastic place
The breakfast was very nice. The room was always extremely clean and enjoyed how they would turn down the beds and leave little candies and a weather report for the next day. Very close to many attractions and the port. The two resident doggies are cute, and the staff were friendly, engaging and very helpful.
The only thing that I would critique is that they didn't get back to any of my email communication with regards to getting to the hotel from the airport. So perhaps they could look at paying more attention there.
Feels like it needs a bit of a renovation. Paint etc.
A bit shabby needed a bit of a facelift
Great place to be in Naples
We love the Miramare. It's a very cute hotel with friendly staff who gave everything to make us feel 'at home'. For example we arrived at 9am in Naples and they asked us to have breakfast and gave us the room 30min later.
The location Is wonderful, in front of Castel dell'Ovo, and the Naples gulf. Good breakfast place in the terrace, even if old furniture, no refurbishment at all.
The structure is old, with old furniture, the room were dirty with terrible smell. No perfume used in the room, and the price was too high compared with the quality of the room.
It's a small hotel, very friendly staff, very good breakfast served on a roof terass with a nice view of the bay and Vesuvio. It's in a good part of town next to the sea. Almost a perfect hotel.
The electric installations in the room were not in best shape. Had to get help to get the TV going, there were many channels but all in Italian.
Amazing location with a view of Mount Vesuvius. Great bathroom facilities and beautifully decorated with hand painted tiles. High thread count sheets and comfortable beds. Clean and tidy, friendly helpful staff. Breakfast on the terrace on the third floor was incredible! Tasty, a huge spread, and something for everyone.
Opening the bedroom window on to the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius - a fantastic view - well worth paying the extra. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfasts were also very good.
Some of the fixtures and fittings are a little worn and faded but this didn't spoil a very enjoyable stay.
Everything was perfect. The staff are outstanding and can't help you enough. Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean, stunning views.
The breakfast terrace on the roof has gorgeous views!
Hotel's location and charm. Helpful staff
breakfasts are mediocre, though its location - the hotel roof top overlooking the bay - is excellent
