Hotel Modena  

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and the location was perfect, especially for a short stay. Breakfast was also very good. All round it was very good value for money and would not hesitate to stay again.

No dislikes.

The location is perfect - right in the center of Malcesine, which is a beautiful town itself. The breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, but a bit old.

The bathroom was not spotlessly clean. The furniture and tiles could be newer.

I would recommend, very central to everything clean, , comfortable, staff friendly,, excellent value good breakfast

Hotel Modena is excellent I would highly recommended anyone to stay there. The hotel is very clean and in a fantastic location and the staff couldn't do more to help u.

The cost was low budget

Very basic hotel, centrally located, which meant it proved to be in a very noisy location.The church bells were rang every 30 mins throughout the night, which is fine as is obviously a local tradition, although I felt the 57 consectutive tolls that started I think around 7am in the morning was a bit uncalled for! :-)

You get what you pay for! Hotel was clean but facilities are very basic.

Internal noise - doors slamming at all hours. Room was too hot with very poor ventilation. The fan provided was very cheap and noisy. Bathroom badly in need of new plumbing fittings - especially the shower.

I loved the location of the Hotel. Our room was clean and we had fresh sheets and towels every day. Great location and good value for money. Would return.

A pleasant, friendly and well run family hotel very centrally located in a beautiful town. Breakfast was good.

The interior of the room was a little dated and the television was tiny.

Noise from outside until late at night and early in morning: due to its central location on busy street - only traffic is early morning (6 am) for deliveries and waste removal!

Situated in the center of the town close to the port and the many restaurants and bars we had a really excellent time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the proprietor even took my mum and dad in his ape motor to the castle and to a restaurant one evening, nothing was any bother to him. I would certainly go back and will recommend the hotel to my friends.

A little noisy in the mornings but that would apply to any hotel in the same area.

Nice room, with friendly staff. Very charming gentleman who was present at breakfast, drove the put-put and made as all laugh and feel at home. It was very considerate of him to take us up to the car park at the end of our stay - it really made a difference. Is he the boss? (He should be!) He said he liked Spain very much - I have a house for sale here, if he wants. It was a memorable stay. Thank you.

Hotel Modena was a very comfortable hotel in a perfect location, in the centre of Malcesine. Gino and his staff were very welcoming and helpful, without being intrusive, and did their best to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms were large and airy, with fans to keep the rooms pleasant even in July. Everything was very clean and well presented. We were particularly impressed with the wide range of choices at breakfast. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would love to go back ourselves!

I found the Hotel Modena a very clean and adequate hotel. It was situated right in the centre of Malcesine and was minutes walk from the lake and castle. I enjoyed my stay there and found the owner and staff very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Väga armas väike hotell. Kolmanda korruse toast avanes kaunis vaade nii mägedele kui Garda järvele. Väga hea asukoht! Kuna hotell asub täiesti Malcesine südames, siis öiste pidutsejate hääled ja hommikused tänavakoristajad võivad häirida. Sõbralik teenindus ja puhas. Soovitame seda hotelli!

Good hotel in central position - ideal for all amenities in the area. Can be quite noisy outside at night but that is only because of its central postion near the harbour and shops/restaurants etc.

Clean and bright spacious single room with excellent en suite facilities. Good buffet breakfast included in overnight price. Would definitely return to this hotel.

We celebrated our wedding in Malcesine and were staying in the hotel Modena 1) Ideal location - in the heart of Malcesine, in the old town. 2) A wonderful and very helpful hotel owner and staff that have gone out of their way to make the event as memorable as possible. The owner has given us a ride on his tuctuc to the castle where the wedding took place and around the old town. He also took the luggage of all the wedding guests to the bus station and the car park on the check-out day. 3) Very good breakfast (doesn't look like a classic Italian one): cheese and ham of different sorts, eggs, fruit and so on. 4) Clean and comfortable rooms. 5) Excellent price. A perfect place to stay at the Garda lake, we highly recommend it!

Very friendly staff who were always on hand to help. Lovely buffet breakfast each morning with staff making sure kid was happy with food and offering alternative. Very convenient and close to castle and various harbours, shops and restaruants and bars. Cable car and bus station also close allowing for easy access to mountain, Verona and other areas of the lake. I will definate recommend hotel to friends and will be back the Modena hopefully n the very near future I changed booking on 3 occasions due to changes needed to rooms and amount of people staying. This was not any problem for the hotel or yourself. Thank you to staff at Modena and your Agency

Nothing to dislike very good value for money. We were attending wedding at castle and other guests stayed at other hotels. They were dissapointed at not booking the Modena due to location, price and service we were receiving.

The location was great and the staff very helpful. We would stay there again. thank you.

Great location for a budget hotel. Had a great view from my miniature single room to Lake Garda.

Awesome location just 30 meters from the lake and very close to the castle right in the historic centre, great staff, very clean with a decent choice for breakfast. Great choice at the price. Highly recommended.
