Set right by Erice's ancient town walls and 220 yards from the cathedral, Il Carmine is a former monastery dating back to 1423. It offers large rooms with free Wi-Fi.

The bed was a bit soft for me but my husband liked it.
The location in the town was great. The staff, particularly the owner, were very friendly and helpful. It was very clean and quiet.

Restaurant needs to rethink its menu. Rooms are basic and bathrooms ok. WiFi only in sitting room.
The location of this hotel was convenient to everything in Erice. The staff was very helpful and it is a family run hotel. The sitting room has many interesting pictures etc.

The hotel is difficult to drive to and if you park in the area at the base of the street it is a hike up to the hotel. The Hotel is very basic and not very attractive. Our room was dark - very low light and little amusing reading lights - the bulb was almost twice the size of the little light. The tile is cold and not attractive. The shower is the tiny old fashioned corner type with fabric curtain.
The family who run the hotel went out of their way to help us and make meals for us even at odd times during the day. They were most welcoming. Parking at the base of the hill seems safe..you pay the attendant during the "open" hours in the morning - pause for lunch and again in the afternoon. The owner's daughter ( I think) kindly gave us a ride up the hill to the hotel with her daughter and a cousin she was picking up from school.Room was quiet - we were lucky... the slightest noise from outside the room or the street was a problem. The dining room is very plain, but the family made us very pleasant meals.

Erice is a bit touristy.
Furnishings, charming and helpful staff and jolly good restaurant. Lunch: caponata, spada palmitana & peach in peach wine, washed down with a mezzo of Regaleali bianco. Superb.

Parking i s in public carpark 100 yards from hotel. We arrived late and struggled to find space - so get there early!
Location and excellent value for money. Comfortable spacious rooms and good size bath room in a quiet location yet still in center. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Our room was facing the street, and the voices from the street were really loud. It felt like the people passing by were shouting next to your ear. Luckily Erice is no party town, so the nights were mostly peaceful.
Nice location close to the centre of Erice, parking also relatively close (costs only 5 euros per week if you go to the booth and say that you are staying in Erice). The staff is helpful, and the breakfast was okay (mostly sweet though). The room was decent, nothing special except for the nice little balcony over the street. Plus there's a really nice view from the rooftop terrace.

Hotel rooms by the Main Street can be noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. There's no wifi in hotel rooms. Wifi is only available in a designated area. Tea and coffee ordered for room service can be pricey (but there are many cafés and restaurants nearby)
This hotel is centrally located with shops and restaurants at its door step. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Services were great and very efficient. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Breakfast room was beautifully decorated. There is also a nice terrace with great views.

Location was excellent but everyone must realize that there is NO parking anywhere in this lovely town except at the parking lot sooooo a small overnight suitcase could be a great idea ! The road up and down the backside to trapani is worthy of the Italian Grand Prix! Exquisite little town!

Security is lax at the desk. Anyone could walk in off the street, take a room key and head upstairs. Similarly our passports were stored in a pigeonhole even after I pointed out that they were not secure. I would advise parking in the main square and dragging your bags up as driving around the narrow streets is a challenge. The rooms are fairly basic but spotless. Shower is poor for a hotel. Wifi in lobby only.
Good location. Nice balcony overlooking the street. Good food in the restaurant and a tasty breakfast with a generous jug of fresh orange juice. Very friendly staff. There is a small charge for parking in the main square(€4.60 for 6 days!) but remember to bring your passport and car documents to avail of the hotel rate.

Nothing we disliked .
The balcony overlooking the Main Street .

Breakfast was terrible, very very limited selection with no real coffee, in Italy. This was the only hotel in Italy we stayed in, without expresso.
Good size room

Good location in a lovely town. Faulty towers type atmosphere.
