Location was good. Close to shopping and red bus tour.

Staff was unfriendly and not helpful at all. Very rude at times. Noisy at night from young kids. Dusty bed spread. So dusty we took it off.

Perfect location! Very central. Comfortable. Clean. Excellent price. The staff is kind. Open 24h. I'd certainly return.

There was no wifi in my room. Towels are changed every 3 days only. No refrigerator in the room. Italian breakfast was not a problem for me, but my mother didn't like it.

Maybe the central location of the hotel was the biggest advantage of the hotel. And that's all

Internet connection was very slow. And it was working only in the corridor. In the room there were no internet at all. The receptionist gave us tv remote controller, but tv showed nothing. It was working, but we were unable to find any canal to watch. The breakfast was below average: marmelade, few cookies, juice and tea. Is this a breakfast?

Hotel Moderno is a great place to stay, especially if you are on a budget. Perfect location in the heart of Palermo--within walking distance from the train/bus station and most of the beautiful churches and other attractions the city has to offer. It is on or near all the major city bus lines if you need to travel outside the city. Comfortable rooms, some with balconies. Wonderful, helpful staff too. Lovely place!

The hotel is in the perfect location if arriving from Palermo or Trapani airport, the Terravision shuttle stops at the train station which is 5 minutes walk away, and the area is safe. Check-out is at 11 and they will store your bags. The decoration is a bit weird... Pictures of landscapes mixed with semi-naked women, but it only adds to the flair. It gives you the idea that interesting things must have happened in this hotel over the years. There is a small bar and there are comfy chairs to relax. Wifi in the lounge but does not reach most of the rooms. The staff was polite and efficient, even if a bit "weird", you get the idea there's something wrong with the guy at reception, he's helpful but does not go out of his way to smile or make you feel welcome, and you can't really have a conversation with him as he cuts you short. There is a small breakfast included in the price which isn't great but good enough for what you need. Definitely recommended for its central location, (almost too) efficient service and value for money.

Staff is friendly but not of many words, which might shock you a bit but seems to be just the Palermo style as well. Wifi is there but does not reach most of the rooms. You'd think it only takes one more router and you'd have internet everywhere but you can sit on one of the comfy chairs in the lounge and surf the web so it's not too much of a problem.

Nothing much, good location but you can find tens of hotels with similar location of better quality and cheaper

The room smelled really bad, airing did not help; it was shabby; dirty walls; uncomfortable beds; poor heating and isolation (it was cold, I stayed in winter), the most expensive hotel I stayed in in Sicily but the worst quality at the same time!

I was charged for a second cappucino at breakfast.

The hotel was in a very good and safe location, complete with an old but working elevator. The free breakfast was a nice touch, just a bread roll and a sweet pastry, juice and coffee, but better than nothing! My room was on the 4th floor, and while there was a/c and huge balcony, The staff was amazing and very courteous and helpful.

the shower was a bit lacking. There was simply a shower curtain, and a drain, and the shower head was so high up, i had a hard time getting squeaky clean. The bed was a twin mattress, and would've been fine, except the mattress was so springy, i never really got comfortable.

Very decent hotel in a great position in Palermo. It was clean, air-conditioned and had good WiFi. Very good for the price.

Breakfast

Good Location, not far away from Massimo and it is cheap. This is main points about this hotel.

Excellent location: 15 min to railway station, bus terminal and Mondello bus stop. Comfortable room with terrazza. Good staff

One and the same breakfast: 2 dry breads, 1 usual bread, 1 croissant, 1 juice, 1 coffee.

The breakfast wasn't very appertizing and the coffee was terrible. Also, the reception staff could have been a little more friendly and helpful.

the hotel met my expectations after booking on line. well placed being near the railway station and on a main bus route. easy walk to anywhere in palermo. the staff are friendly and helpful and i liked the small balcony to sit and write postcards on.

whilst i appreciate the rates are competitive they may want to rethink the breakfast format. one is given a loaded plate rather than self service and the juice in the white plastic cup is best described as watery. i think i was fortunate to be in a room at the back as the road is pretty busy.

Achei muito desagradável precisar tomar um elevador apertado, que mal carrega duas pessoas com duas malas, para chegar à recepção do hotel que é no terceiro andar (ele ocupa o terceiro e quarto andar de um prédio). O café da manhã é péssimo. Foi-nos designado um apartamento com tanta umidade em uma das paredes que até um pedaço do reboco tinha caído. O chuveiro tinha uma cortina que ajudava alagar o banheiro inteiro. Precisa mais?

Rumore molto fastidioso dovuto alle porte che si affacciano sui corridoi delle stanze che per la noncuranza dei clienti vengono sbattute in continuazione iniziando molto presto la mattina quando si vorrebbe dormire tranquillamente.Si suggerisce di munire le dette porte di feltrini che attutiscano la chiusura.

keine direkten Parkmöglichkeiten, nur auf der Strasse parken möglich und das parken ist dann sehr teuer.

Posizione dell'hotel, colazione discreta, materasso comodo e lenzuola pulite.

La stanza matrimoniale è in realtà una singola con letto matrimoniale, quindi piccola e senza spazio per I comodini. Sul soffitto del bagno c'era una macchia di umidità, quindi gli odori della camera ne risentivano. Mancavano le coperte dentro l'armadio.

Posizione, salone per la colazione

Aspetto decisamente decadente, stanza con muri scrostati,sopracoperta del letto dall'aspetto decisamente sciatto, asciugamani del bagno di colore non proprio immacolato,finestra della camera a cui sono state tolte le persiane e mai rimesse. Colazione senza possibilità di scelta e con una sola ordinazione di bevanda calda a disposizione, un secondo caffè viene addebitato come extra.Per due stelle e quel prezzo in centro non si pretende la luna, ma almeno un minimo di cura in più, quello non costa nulla. Comunque se si è fatto lo scout o il servizio militare, ci si adatta.
