Very minor downsides observed :
- I am quite tall (1.92m) and the bed-frame was a closed one with some meshed footboard, so I had to sleep diagonally somewhat.
- no air conditioning if you feel too warm in the summer days but it is easily remedied by opening your window in the evening, letting the fresh air in.
Warm and welcoming hosts.
Sumptuous continental breakfast: 3/4 different cakes freshly cooked by "la mama", pastries, salami/ham, cheese, fresh fruit juices, etc
Good restaurant on premises with a view on the nearby Castellinado castle. After a long journey, it is very much appreciated to be able to stay in, and enjoy a good meal with wine.
Very helpful and responsive: Arianna printed our boarding passes for the next leg of our journey almost before we could complete our request. She just terminated her studies in Newcastle, UK earlier this year and is now permanently working for the family business. Her brother-in-law speaks French, so take your pick of English, French, Italian.
Overall, we loved the bed & breakfast ambiance. It felt really like home, with family pictures in the corridors, windows and balconies overlooking the surrounding wineyards.
