A perfect Florence experience. Good breakfast. Hotel was a great value and in an excellent location
Our room was over the boiler and extraordinary hot. The desk worked air conditioning so sleeping was very uncomfortable. If you open the windows then you had to deal with mosquitoes.
Garden is magnificent and hotel is located in a very nice and central area
Room 41 is rather hot, without the capacity to regulate the temperature No fresh orange juice and fruits
friendly and efficient staff comfortable room relaxing hotel
no dinner facilities Early closing bar tiny bathroom
The staff was great and helpful. The hotel was quaint and historic. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
The room doors were difficult to open and sound travels well through the doors.
I like the most one of the employees, Regina- in the front desk. She is a special person, very professional , most helpful and allways gave us the best recommendation. She helped us whenever she could.
Excellent location. First stay we had an excellent room. The hotel is a historical gem.
Second stay the room was smaller with a broken safe and were unable to regulate room temperature.
Size of the room. City Centre location. Traditional theme
No hot food at breakfast. Our bathroom hadn't been updated since the mid-70's. Strong bleach smell upon arrival. Generally dusty throughout.
Location...accomondations...staff..ans the garden area with bar is fabulous...the bartender was accomondating.ans very entertaining....PERFECTO!!!
Staying in a really old hotel with it's ancient pictures, furniture and general feel of medieval Florence that set the scene for our visit to the city. The facilities themselves are, of course, up to date and work well. The staff were brilliant and could all talk to us in English when our attempts to speak Italian weren't quite good enough!
Nothing of note.
Great location, comfortable beds, nice courtyard.
The mosquito problem. We did see a few in the room. Did not want to use the fumigation system. Seems weird.
Staff were rude and unhelpful. Breakfast was the poorest quality bakeries and bread possible. Holes in carpet at top of stairs , someone is going to get hurt. The bedroom looked like a Third world impoverished slum.
Very unique and special hotel. Each room is different and has lots of original character. Good brekfast great location Friendly staff
Excellent rooms very comfortable gorgeous hotel. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Definitely would go back.
Bar closing at 11pm and no option of evening meal.
Liked the patio area for breakfast and evening drinks. Very clean room and bathroom.
When a group books a reservation, try to put their rooms in the same building. Since you were not allowed to bring in your own beverages, your bar menu should be more reasonable.
I've stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, location is excellent some of the best restaurants very close.
I feel the hotel is in need of someTLC, bathrooms defiantly need modernising & the breakfast is not as great as they have been in the past. Always enjoyed staying here up until now
The hotel itself was really beautiful with an old time feeling and a lovely garden. The breakfast was included and had a nice variety, which was also great. Also the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Good location as well! All in all a very nice experience for a young couple.
Comfortable & professional atmosphere. You feel like living 200 years ago - but enjoy the luxury accomodation of today! "Little" silent garden in the backyard - phantastic. Recommendable!
Beautiful old style comfortable hotel well positioned to visit many famous sights. Visit the indoor market, take the evening tour of Florence and listen to some Opera. The Garden is very pleasant for typical continental breakfast or early evening drink from the friendly barman. Staff very helpful, informative and patient.
No tea and coffee making facilities in room and beware of the mozzies take medication with you.
Central but quiet and restful. Very well furnished and comfortable.
Loved the garden bar area and Lorenzo the bartender. He was so funny and very pleasant
Garden, Breakfast, Bar
Dark and oldfashioned interior with particular smell. Be aware of scary dark large "upgrade room" with high ceiling and small windows. You will pay more for this room, but get less than in regular one.
I loved the furnishings and glass walls over looking garden. Garden space was an excellent place to sir and talk. Breakfast was served in an intimate beautifully appointed room by the garden.breakfast had a good variety of foods and drinks. Roomin the older original building was bbeautiful with a high vaulted ceiling. Foyer was pretty. Staff was quick and friendly, always. Laundry service was fairly priced and prompt. Hotel is a shirt walk to Duomo, Accademia, Uffuzi, Ponte Vechio bridge, shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here.
WiFi was spotty in rooms. It was best while sitting in lobby.
I like the hotel! The building, the staff , the garden, the food ...everything!
I don't like leaving the hotel...
