Easy to walk to both the bus and Termini, both about 10 minutes. You can really walk anywhere in Rome from here. Staff are very helpful, rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is very good. There are 2 really good places to eat just nearby recommended by staff.
Sometimes there was a bit of a bad smell in the bathroom.
Room was very small, location so so, close to train station, but there are more better hotel around train station
Staff was very good
long walking distance from the centre..
The staff and breakfast
Feel unsafe after sunset
Clean, Helpfull staff, cozy rooms, good breakfast
view, size of shower, but you get what you pay for.
All good at Montecarlo
The air conditioner was noisy & not very efficient
Breakfast was not included. Staff member told me I was economy. A bit expensive for economy.
Ease of access to room Clean comfortable room Very helpful staff Located within walking distance of subway
A little difficult to find when arriving and walking from train station
Service was great, beautiful breakfast and handy to central rome. Would easily recommend staying here.
On a scale of poor to excellent, I give hotel Montecarlo a good+. Location: Very convenient, about 10 minute mostly safe walk from Roma Termini Train Station. Since there is some distance the neighborhood feels nicer. It is a 3 minute walk to the metro line that goes to the train station (if you don't want to walk) and also the colosseum. Price: Everything in Rome is pricey so this is moderately priced and still nice. The only way to get a better price would be to use Hotel Tonight but then you would have to book day-of. This allows you to reserve ahead of time. Room: We stayed in room 103, which is up 2 flights of stairs but there is a small lift. It was small (though typical for Rome), very clean, and had THE BEST SHOWER I HAVE TAKEN IN YEARS! Not even joking. Amazing pressure and clean! The bed was very firm (two twins pushed together) Free wifi in room, but you need the password so be sure to get it from the front desk at check-in Breakfast: Is NOT necessarily included, so be sure to check. It was a typical European breakfast with pastries, yogurt, coffee, cereal, etc. flat fee of 10 euros per person. It was good. Staff: Friendly, spoke English well, available 24 hours, and will hold luggage after check-out.
No AC but the window opened, so it was cool enough but resulted in some street noise. It's not a super busy street so mostly heard dogs barking and trash collection sounds.
Very comfortable room and bed, spacious bathroom, helpful staff
Not a particularly pleasant area of Rome, felt a little unsafe at night, very unpleasant odour in the main area of hotel, obviously something wrong with sewerage
good service, decent breakfast (but you have to get there early as there are more clients than tables). good coffee
Central to trains, buses and restaurants felt very safe
Room too small for a family
Friendly staff, good location, clean and well maintained
Wifi kept dropping out every few minutes but this was just a minor irritation.
Very helpful and committed staff. Nothing too much trouble.
Small bathroom but hey...it's Italy.
The staff went out of their way to help with printing a boarding pass to giving us a map and highlighting streets for good shopping The hotel is extremely well placed close to Termina and walk to restaurants and shops It is only rated 3 star but I would rate it 4 star lovely old world feel very large and comfortable rooms Good breakfast in downstairs dining room
Location near Termini Station and great restaurants. Good breakfast. We had a double room, but it was fairly large compared to other doubles we've stayed in. Staff was very knowledgeable about sites to see and booking tours.
Internet would cut off periodically.
The Hotel is situated in a very clean, safe area and close to the train station. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Franco went out of his way to be helpful, accommodating and informative. Access to the local city transit system is only 200M from the hotel and was about a 15 min ride to the central area of Rome. The breakfast had lots of choices.
The breakfast area could be quite tight when busy. It was warm as it is very close to the kitchen. A little air flow would be helpful.
The staff were really nice and friendly. The hotel was very clean and the facilities were very good.
The hotel wifi did not allow me to use any apps even though it was connected.
Location was ok, near metro and walking distance from termini. clean, comfortable room if a little small
No tea making facilities! Grrrr!
Jacuzzi didn't work properly Canvas wall and dust
Rooms are generous size, breakfast buffet great and staff very helpful
Had a few hiccups with the wifi connections but they were easily overcome
Location - 10 min from termini
Really small room for 3 people , rude staff, ...small breakfast room but breakfast itself was ok
