Best Western Montecarlo    

Ideal location for moving about Venice. The rooms are good and have a Venician ambiance. Breakfast good choices.

Nothing but would have appreciated tea facilities in the room.

The old world charm

Could of done without carrying luggage from landing to hotel...but its Venice and you gotta do what you gotta do!

breakfast buffet excellent for italian standards

that I could not collect points to my bw card because I booked with booking.com and I did not know my points would not count....

Staff very helpfull& friendly, breakfasts excellent , hotel well appointed and very close to San Marco.I would highly recommend this Hotel .

Location, location, location

Everything about the Montecarlo was first class. The staff were helpful but informal. Our room was lovely and complied with all our prior requests. There was a good choice at breakfast. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more.

The bread at breakfast could have been better.

The best location in Venice next to the Piazza. Nice people manning the hotel.

rooms very small, we booked superior twin but they were trying to give us very very small room which for 2 persons would be uncomfortable.

Breakfast Location Staff

Great breakfast. The porter took us to the pier so that we could catch a water taxi; he carried all our suitcases. It's pretty and the bathroom is new and nice.

the hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the water bus. it was a 2 minute walk from st. marks square and all the sights. you couldn,t fault the location. i loved our room it looked just as it did in the photos,the size was good. there was a well stocked mini bar and the prices were good. the dining room was beautiful, there was an great selection of food.the staff were helpfull, polite and friendly. it was mostly older couples staying there, i was there with my 40 year old daughter . it was very quiet and peacefull.we would stay there again.

there was nothing about the hotel i didn,t like. i,d just like to remind people to take plenty of mosquito repelent to venice.i,m covered in bites.

The rooms is too small, and the furniture is too old.

The location was excellent. The breakfast included in the room charge was good.

They had just washed the carpets in the room and the smell of the cleaning detergent was nauseating. The first night there was no heat and it took them until the next day to fix it, so we froze all night long. You had to let the water run for a while till you got hot water. The hotel is just an ok place to crash at night. Not a very spacious comfortable place to relax.

Room is a little bit small

We received a very friendly welcome, our cases were taken to our room. The hotel was ideally located to St Mark's Square but quiet for relaxing and sleeping. Very good breakfast with a good selection. It was so helpful that our cases were stored for us when we checked out at 11am as our flight was in the evening. Many thanks.

It would have been good to have coffee and tea in the room.

Location pretty good, just three minutes from San Marco Square. Breakfast : very generous buffet, better than many we have tried, very varied. Not noisy, perfect to be centrical and wind down. To get in: Easy to get in from the airport by bus ACTVO(15´) and vapporetto at San Marco Stop, more or less 1,5 hour without traffic in total.(not less to get by in Venice )

We payed after checking out 6 extra € per pax for city taxes. This should be more clearly especified, and be used to mend Venice buildings ;-) The elevator is a bit narrow but the hotel commodities compensate that

Room was warm, need to open the window for cool air but outside is bit noisy. Depends where the rooms are facing.

We loved the location - right off the St. Marco square, yet it was not noisy at all. The staff were helpful, the room clean, breakfast good. Good value for money.
