Location is good. at the heart of the Venice. Only short distance to the San Macro square. No free Wi-fi there!!! Never join the free boat shuttle offered by the hotel to the Murando. U would have been pushed to buy the expensive glass product in Murando, if u had taken the free shuttle to c the free glass work demonstrationt! As a matter of fact, the prices of all the glass products in Murando have been marked up a lot, they are much expensive than that in Venice centre! So never join the tour offered by the hotel! |

The free trip to the Murano island was great and so were the maps and reviews we got from the hotel when we arrived. These "extra" things should be listed on the site too. |

Firstly, Venice is mind-blowing. It is like being on a filmset - it's unique and a must see. Secondly, be aware of the Americans who review this hotel and say the rooms and bathrooms are small. Our room was spacious with high headroom and the bathroom was functional with room to shower, wash and sit on the loo! What else do you want to do in a bathroom?! The room was clean with quality bed linen and traditional Venetian style furniture. The hotel is superbly placed - just a one minute walk from St. Mark's Square. And 10 mins walk from the Rialto Bridge. Yes, it's situated on a very narrow street but hey, Mr American, this is Venice and big is not always beautiful! The hotel staff was knowledgeable and helpful and breakfast was plentiful. Being in the middle of the tourist area meant the room was a little noisy with people sounds, but of course, no traffic noise and closing the external shutters as well as the windows cut out most of this. However, it quietened down well before midnight as most tourists bedded down early for the next day's busy sightseeing. Some tips: 1. Avoid Venice in the hot summer months. It's very crowded and the nature of the place does give rise to nasty drainage smells - so they say. We visited in October (our first visit) and the weather was fab. 20 degrees and bright blue skies - and mo smells! 2. Don't be frightened by the absence of vehicular access when finding your hotel. Of course, there are no buses and taxis on the island but getting around is easy. Do your research first and look at the public transport system online to find out how it all works. There are regular water buses which connect with the hire car, rail and bus stations at Piazzale Roma and everyone is helpful and will advise you how to buy your ticket and what line you need to take. |

Brilliant location around the corner from Saint Mark's Square. Small boutique style hotel with beautiful fittings and furnishings. we took the advice of a previous reviewer and asked for atop floor room. The room was small but exquisite and had a newly refurbished bathroom. Great staff and very obliging concierge. |

This is a fantastic hotel. The room was a bit small, however as was stated - it is a over 400 years old. Very nice, helpful and courteous staff, room, breakfast and location was excellent. Despite being close to everything, with the window closed, could not hear the outside, so nice and quiet. Again, location is excellent. |

Our stay was wonderful, perfect location to everything, 3 minute walk to St Marks Square, shopping and restaurants on every corner, wonderful breakfast every morning, water transport to any location 5 minutes away, atm machines for money exchange 3 to 5 minutes walk, but the Best Western Montecarlo employees were the best part of our stay very very friendly and helpful. They all went out of their way to be helpful and accomimodating us with any need we had. |

Excellent location near to St. Mark´s Square. Bathroom very clean but only corner shower which was quite small but adequate. Didn´t know it had wall safe until enquires made at desk. Should have been told on booking in. Breakfast was not what I would expect for American Breakfast. Only hot frankfurter sausages and scrambled egg which was probably powdered. Otherwise just ham and cheese and cereals. Chairs and tables rather cramped in breakfast room. |

Staff were extremely friendly, professional and helpful. The location of the hotel could not have been better. The rooms were cramped and the decor tired and way overdue for a refurbishment. The en-suite facilities were circa 1960's and quite honestly unacceptable. |

The location was fantastic. The breakfast was not very good. The eggs were cold and runny and the coffee maker was not working a few times. The dining staff was not friendly and seemed to be bothered if you addressed them with an issue of concern. |

Superbly quaint and comfortable hotel on the doorstop of St. Marks square meant the location was good. Breakfast was disappointing and Germanised, we went to Venice for traditional Italian. |

Easy access to all Venice attractions. Excellent breakfast! Felt like a little like a troglodyte since there was no access to to outside world from the bedroom window. However, both bedroom and bathroom were well appointed and very clean and comfortable. |
