The Royal Continental is right on Naples' seafront promenade, in a quiet neighborhood. It features a stunning rooftop pool, with panoramic views out over the Bay of Naples and Castel dell'Ovo.

Score from 65 reviews Wonderful
Great pool Helpful staff
You need to use the metro to get into Naples. The walk to the metro station is 20 mins long through dirty and dangerous streets (one road has no pathway). Hotel has seen better days, clearly lacks investment and is in a run-down part of town.
the location, the swimming pool
the safe was broken, breakfast too ordinary
Very nice pool area. Nice personnel with good language skills. Breakfast good, with nice variation of coffee.
Would like more vegetables for breakfast. A cleare map over the neigborhood must be fixed; especially considering the distance to the train/metro. Used many hours finding the metro station. Considering the sice of the hotel, more indoor space should be used for activities (sport, snooker, etc.). The gym is not very impressive (and not for free). Prize for drinks/food not very generous at the pool area.
Good breakfast, buffet style. Nice and quiet hotel.
Friendly and helpful personal
more care for the beautiful lemon trees
The pool looked really nice but we didn't swim as we didn't have caps. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were pleasant to deal with.
For accessing Naples the train wasn't great. However, there weren't many parts of Naples which felt very safe...
very good service overall, great breakfast, clean and quiet rooms, WI-FI and AC working well
it's a bit far from the train station (20 min walk) the restaurant quite expensive but great cuisine
Excellent base to visit the city and area
The hotel was an oasis of calm where you could return after a hectic day as a tourist. The poolside in particular was a lovely space to chill out and relax. A proper pool that you can actually swim in. Two local train lines allowed easy access to Naples city centre and beyond. We found it to be a great base for exploring the area. It is only ten minutes by train to the seaside town of Pozzuoli, where you can enjoy a good selection of restuarants at very resonable prices.
Unless you are reasonably fit, then the walk to the local metro may be a bit too much in the heat. Ideal hotel if you are driving though.
Everything ! Breakfast nice was yummy.....
Misunderstanding about Check out at the hotel... I was suppose to check out 11:00 am on Mon. But I ask on Sunday can I stay till 5:00 pm because my flight is 9 pm she said is ok... But next day on Mon the receptionies told me leave early, I wasn't happy :-(
Very friendly and helpful staff especially the gift-laden Guiseppie. Swimming pool was fantastic and breakfasts were excellent. We really enjoyed our week. In a very good location for sightseeing
Swimming Pool was the best in hot summer. Ok breakfast.
Surrounding not nice. Hard to move without car.
Road to hotel and small room
Facilities were excellent, in particular the private pool. The welcome was also very warm and the staff were very supportive with every request.
Comfortable, relaxed and friendly hotel. The pool is very large & luxurious with a shallow pool also for smaller children. My kids really enjoyed the pools. The room was large and clean with en-suite bathroom and maid service daily with plenty of large towels replenished. The Sat TV has some channels in English. Breakfast was a large buffet selection and to a high standard. Kids loved the cakes with chocolate in the middle and different fruit juices and hot chocolate. We ate out in local Kebab and Pizzerias to try to keep a reign on our budget in the afternoon/evening although we realised at the end it might have been a false economy. We ate at the restaurant in the Hotel at the end of our stay anticipating a large bill but were pleasantly surprised that the starters and some others dishes were large enough to share. We had 2 starters to share (the Aubergine starter was huge and extremely tasty). The waiter kindly recommended the burger and fries was large enough for the kids to share (which it was). The Sea food linguine was also exquisite. With 2 soft drinks and a bottle of wine came to 66 Euros. We wished we'd eaten in the Hotel restaurant more often. A similar choice of menu was made in a restaurant in Chiaia came to double that at 120 Euros and portions were much smaller. We enjoyed a visit to the National Achaeological Museum which is near Amadeo Metro and saw many artefacts from Pompeii and the amusing Secret Room of pre-Roman artifacts. Parco Virgiliano was also wonderful and about 18 Euros one way.
This is not the fault of the Hotel but the immediate area is a bit run down (some build up of rubbish) & the kids were disappointed to see that Edenlandia was closed and derelict. However, after finding Bagnoli Agnano Therme Metro we visited Amadeo, Chiaia & Cavour that were cleaner and had historic places to visit.
Family rooms for 4 were great, pool area was superb with sunbeds / deckchairs (really comfortable) always available even when returning from trips in the afternoon. Breakfasts were fab and quality meals in restaurant in the evening were good value. All staff were friendly and spoke English! Will definitely go back for relaxing 3/4 day break.
Location - costs 15 /20 euros each way into Napoli but this meant no noise and nice & peaceful.
Close (driving distance) to Naples and Pozzuoli attractions. Large clean rooms. The pool was a huge positive after a day of travel/walking.
Not the place if you're looking to step out for some shopping/dining (it's on a hill and vicinity is not that great). Breakfast was so and so. Pool closes early + mandatory swimming caps even for the youngsters.
The hotel is beautifully situated. It has a really large pool. Ideal for trips into Naples. Train is not far away. Giuseppi is a wonderful host in the restaurant.
Hotel should provide a clearer map to train station. Breakfast was a little chaotic.
Staff was great...room was clean..breakfast was great! Enjoyed the rooms...
air conditioning could be revamped..changed rooms due to poor output of cool air
It was very peaceful being in the large grounds of well kept gardens, you wouldnt of known you were in an urban environment. Staff were very welcoming and helpful from check in to check out.
Shoddy workmanship.Poor maintenance of basic facilities. Equipment in gym (treadmill) were falling apart (dangerously). Bathroom doors didn't work. The room tv did not function. The shutter blinds didn't function. Overall very disappointed for the quality of the hotel and value for money. I demanded a discount / refund from the hotel, which I successfully negotiated. Will not be visiting or recommending this hotel to anyone.
The location of the Resort is fantastic. So remote and quiet, yet still close to all amenities , touristic attractions and several neighbouring towns and Amalfi Coast.Perfect location to unwind. The resort has many facilities and we felt we were in heaven. We also enjoyed the first Class Service, & outstanding helpful & professional staff. We will most definitely recommend this resort and re visit! Keep up the good work.
May I kindly suggest some evening entertainment
the swimming pol the car park the view
prices of the taxi to go to town view on the work (concrete) performed in the garden during breakfast.
The staff was excellent, the rooms were cleaned everyday . The breakfast buffe was fantastic and alway filled with different delicacies. What more can I say I will certainly recommend it to families and friends
The hotel is excellent but they need to talk to Napoli City council to clean their road
The pool is very nice and the woman working at the front desk was very helpful. And the breakfast buffet is amazing.
That the area of Naples smelled like sewage. That the room didn't have any supplies for the kitchen despite having been advertised as bungalows for families. I would have liked to at least had a pot and a couple of plates and silverware. The children's play area wasn't kept up well.
