Breakfast was amazing. Room were specious - we made a reservation for a quad room and we stayed in a suite. Staffs were amazingly helpful and friendly. It is about 10 min walk from the station and it is very easy to find since no left or right turn was required.

At center of location. Less expensive than my first choice. Needs updating. Felt walls were musty...dirty. Bedspread old and beaten.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Salerno. It is right on a great shopping street & perfect for evening stroll! It's a short walk into the old part of Salerno & to the beautiful Duomo. Also, just a short bus ride to Vieta Sul Mare for pottery shopping. The hotel staff were friendly and the hotel was modern, clean, and comfortable.

Hotel Montestella has a very friendly environment & staffs were helpful. The room was nice & clean. The hotel was undergoing renovation at the exterior and, thus, gave us a little challenge to find it.

Reasonable good WIFI connection, clean room, comfortable beds, very huge balcony. Nice roof terrace for breakfast (unlucky there were only 2 tables). Great location: 600 meter from the trainstation and in the center of the city. Hotel is located in a nice and cosy shopping street and is near to the Lungomare (boulevard). They are busy with rebuilding the hotel. So the outside is surrounded by building material and the walls are decayed. Bathroom was small and shower was full of water. They had to unplug it first. Aircondition stopped working after a few days. Breakfast was poor. Only some toast and if you are lucky maybe there's a cornetto (italian croissant) for you. Nice but shy guy that fixes the breakfast. You can get a cafe Americano or Cappuchino from him. But don't ask him something in English, he really doesn't understand. The rest of the staff isn't any better, so try and practise your italian! Prego! :)

conveniently located in the center of the city, not far from train station. currently under re-modeling. modern entrance area is already completed. would imagine it to be very nice when it is completed. room is clean and maintained that way professionally. the best thing about this hotel is balcony on 5th floor where you can have break fast while enjoying mountain and ocean(partly) view. because of its location, traffic noise of the adjacent busy road may trouble you. also, week-end night can be noisy as lots of people go out till late night.

The location: near the trein station, the Touristic port (serving Amalfi & Positano), Manfredi port (serving Capri) and the historic center. I was travelling with my mom and the location was perfect to do all things we had planned, specially because we did not have a car. Lots of restaurants nearby. Good capuccino for breakfast. Excellent value for money We had balcony, it would be nice to have some chairs outside to chill-out

The roof terrace where breakfast is taken. Close to railway station. Hard to find the place as there is no signage at front of hotel which seems to be undergoing refurbishment. I walked up and down the road several times with a heavy bag before locating it. The lobby is very impressive and modern, very different from the room I had which was very 1970'S. I didn't like the room but all was forgiven when I had breakfast on the roof terrace in the morning, which was a joy.

I liked the downstairs lobby and sitting room, which was modern and spacious. The young man who helped serve breakfast was very accommodating and attentive. The rooms were not modern, so there was a discrepancy in the lobby and the room. The pictures online are not accurate depictions of the actual rooms. I was able to see many different rooms because the maids were cleaning and had all the doors open, and none of the rooms, no matter the size, were like the pictures offered online. They were all clean but very small and not modern like the downstairs. It seemed like you were staying in 2 different hotels. The internet was sporadic in the room so I had to use the other connection downstairs half of the time.

The hotel has excellent location - it's situated on the mian shopping street, near the train station and within 50m to promenade along the sea. The staff is very polite and helpful. The rooms are clean and the view from the restaurant located on the 5th floor great! The visual aspect of the hotel (from outside) - the hotel is being renovated so there is a construction around but it didn't influence our stay.

Very friendly staff, clean and beautifull terrace to get breakfast. There was no sign outside they say because it was on renovation and since it was in a pedestrian area. I'm not sure if I will get some tickets for my car I had to to a lot of rounds. To park is very difficoult and no body sell parking tickets and there is no machines.

I liked the fact that it was only a 5 to 6 minute walk from the Train station. Liked the new contemporary design and liked the location as it related to shopping, dinning, and the port. Room was located next to a busy street.

The view was fantastic and the staff were lovely. We loved this hotel and would have stayed for ever if we could have. It was close to all the shops and the beach. It was hard to find at first because they were putting up a new sign and it wasn't actually up when we got there but we still found it.

The 5 min walk from the bus termial and station suited us as we used Salerno as a staging point between Amalfi and Firenze. The room was quite large, was clean and the bed comfortable. The desk staff were friendly and helpful - we hung out in the large lounge area for a couple of hours after checkout until it was time to catch the train. Breakfast was pleasant on the rooftop terrace and the coffee good. The bathroom was clean, but only just adequate - see below... The bathroom was sadly lacking maintenance. It took over 5 minutes of running the tap before hot water was available in the shower (I rang reception after a couple of minutes, but they were not fazed, just said to keep waiting), the shower head had seen better days and the drain blocked up. The toilet flush mechanism was prone to fall apart if not pressed very carefully, and the toilet seat came apart. The towels were thin cotton, but did the job.
