Very pleasant and helpful staff, and a good quiet location. Help was given when planning activities and excursions.
The room, a single, was very small. The cost was the highest of the hotels in which I stayed in Italy, and as the breakfast room is very small, sometimes it was necessary to wait for a while.
We have already given out the name to all our friends. Our favorite hotel from the 4 we stayed at through out Tuscany
We loved this hotel. Three of us in our party; Dad, Mom and older teen son.Son loved the hotel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We were in room 25 and it was large, quiet and cool. We visited in mid August. Location was excellent! We would there again.
Great staff - very helpful. Amazing location - quiet enough to sleep well but close enough to the centre of florence to be in the thick of it in a few minutes.
Had a nice room. Parking was indoor and just next door which was very helpful. Although we didn't have breakfast included, we got coffee and croissant (although not during the weekend for some reason).
Dirty Carpets Dirty bathroom It. mighty have been a good Option 10 years ago
Fascinating old building with great atmosphere. Very central and within walking distance of the main sites. Staff very helpful and kind. We left our camera behind and they mailed it to our home address in the UK without charge. Will definitely stay again.
Breakfast a bit sporadic with them running out of things over the weekend. Even ran out of tonic in the bar. A very minor problem.
Roberto (on reception) was a massive help when we checked in, highlighted all the areas to go on a easy to read map. He told us places to eat & booked us on to excursions.
We got bitten a lot in the hotel room
Stairs, but it seems like every Italian hotel is up a flight of stairs.
Very attentive staff and a charming, comfortable hotel so close to the highlights of Florence. Would definitely stay there again.
No issues during our stay, everything was great.
Staff was great.
Location was a little too far out of the central core. Facility needs to be cleaner and updated for comfort even though in historic setting. Need screens for windows for fresh air for non air conditioning users. Bed was not comfortable.
Just a lovely location--convenient to many locations of interest. Really pleasant staff--a great experience.
Location is excellent. The staff was most helpful, breakfast was very nice.
Wi-Fi was terrible in our room, fair in the main lounge on our level and excellent in the registration area. I would prefer to stay in my room when accessing email, etc.
Atmosphere is pure Florence. Great location, set away from crowded areas, but within walking distance of Duomo.
Very nice and friendly people and a beautiful building. Quiet street, and very close to all the highlights of Florence. The reception stayed much longer because my flight arrived late and even though it was after midnight he took all the time to explain everything to me. I could really recommend this hotel.
We liked the friendliness and willingness of staff to assist with reservations and the quick delivery of cappuccino in the AM
Staff helpfulness, Location, General comfort
Breakfast not included in room rent
The staff was so helpful. Always available to answer questions, bring coffee in the morning and whatever else we needed.
The smell of urine or waste on the lower level as you enter. It was bad, not sure if that was due to the hotel or the whole issue in Italy!
Unusual old decor, very friendly and helpful. Quiet location, but easy walk to center of florence.
No overnight staff.
My stay was very enjoyable, and staff very helpful. Although room was small it was comfortable. On arrival getting my suitcase, which was heavy, was a struggle, It was lovely having books and magazines to read, and overall it was a very pleasant stay, and I thank the staff.
It is not close to restaurants, and as a single woman i was a little worried about walking in the dark. I had not realised that part of the hotel was on the ground floor - but I presume they would have cost more than my small room.
