The owners were very hospitable, friendly and helpful. The location is great, very close to the historic center of Perugia. The room was a good size, nicely decorated, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was small but clean.
Location - Cleanness - Silence - Very kind staff - Very good breakfast - Nice and comfortable room - Good wifi - Incredible price for what it offers
Room and bathroom maybe a bit small but not a problem at all
happy with everything!
Nice historical building, clean, very warm, good location, very friendly staff.
I felt cigarette smell in lounge and in my room as well. It was not very strong but I woudl prefer not to smell it at all. This was only minus for me.
We stayed two nights. Location is perfect. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely come back again and definitely stay here.
Very helpful owners . Provided car parking space right outside . We had a Range Rover so very tight up the old streets . Good room in old building and perfectly located to walk everywhere . Take owners recommendations for eating .
Nothing really.....shame we could not stay for breakfast as spread looked inviting.
The family are very friendly, hospitable and accomodating, and English-speaking. They'll take up your luggage which is a very nice welcoming touch. The room was simple, clean and well decorated, it had a cosy feeling to it. They have a sweet, shy dog on the premises. The mattrasses were a bit harder than we like. They gave very good restaurant recommendations. Breakfast is sweet and small, typical of Italy. You get a good croissant with sugar on it, some toast with jam, a yoghurt and they do a nice cappuccino. The location is excellent, in the historical centre in a quiet street, a 2-minute walk from the main piazza. We liked coming back to the room in the afternoon for a rest and some sprucing up, before going to dinner. Most restaurants will open at 19.30 only, so the proximity of the hotel to town is very comfortable. They have free wifi, though it didn't work well all the time. We came to Perugia by train from Rome, took the minimetro into town from Perugia station. It's easy to get tickets from the machine, it goes every two minutes and is very efficient. We got off at the last stop, Pincetto, and walked to the hotel in about 5-10 minutes. This hotel is excellent value for money and I would recommend it to anyone unless there are mobility issues.
The breakfast room, though charming, is small and the furniture too dainty to be comfortable.
the friendliness of the staff
The hosts were wonderful. They helped us with directions, googled information, and gave us great advise regarding good and not overpriced restaurants. The room was clean, the bathroom completely remodeled. The space was cozy and had a great atmosphere. Everywhere original paintings. The Italian breakfast was very good. the bread was delicious (oftentimes Italian bread is dry, but this was not). They made fresh cappuccino which was delicious and they had yoghurt, even natural yoghurt. The location is really ideal and one gets a good sense of Perugia. The hotel is in a very small street and. Was worried about parking in such a small space. The owner came with us to direct us into a good parking space.
Very friendly staff, beautiful room, peaceful place in the heart of the old city.
Very nice, cosy hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Very good facilities and a very convenient location near Piazza Morlacchi
Exquisite, atmosphere in an atmospheric hotel full of beautiful art and my room as on the top floor was quiet, beautiful size and great to sleep in.
Nothing. There is no lift but I traveled light and did not mind in exchange for the views of the street and the quiet. Wonderful staff, friendly and so informative.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and I could see it was a family-owned hotel, which is always a plus for me. I like to support family businesses.
The room was above a street without traffic but there were people talking and dog barking below my window - 2 things admittedly were completely out of the hotel's control. Fortunately there was a small fan in the room so I was able to close the window and get air and keep cool as well as have it drown-out the noise. The result was a a good night's sleep in the end.
Location and friendly owners
Finding the hotel by car
This is a comfortable, friendly, family-run hotel. The owners are knowledgable and helpful. The hotel is located just a 5-minute walk from the centre of town (the fountain in front of the cathedral). The room we had was small, but comfortable and nicely furnished. All in all, a great deal and a pleasant stay.
Perfect, as ever!
Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. A lovely location, close to everything and a good value!
This little hotel at the centre of Perugia is a real jewel. It offers everything that 3-star or even 4 star hotels provide (wide single bed, heating, bathroom with hair dryer, shower curtain that would even satisfy Bill Bryson!) but with a distinct character and very friendly family staff. you can explore all the historical city centre on foot, reach the hotel also with the very convenient Metro-Tram from the railway station (every 30 seconds!!!)
for persons with mobility problems the internal staircase is a bit steep
Just stayed in Perugia for 4 nights and was really impressed with Hotel Morlacci. Great location, right off the main square and plenty of students around because of the nearby library, so there always people about if you're on your own. A family run the hotel and they were all really friendly and welcoming. Really couldn't have asked for more considering the price - one of the best value for money places I've stayed at. Oh and Perugia is a really good base I think for visiting other places nearby.
The hospitality was really good and we were so much welcomed and they made us feel comfortable. Room comfortable, clean and cosy. Bathroom with very clean towels and lovely hot water. Well I really recommend this hotel. :)
honestly, when i entered my room, i just said: wow! i had never such a nice hotel for that money! i was working at the university. my colleagues stayed in a bigger hotel outside the historic center. i wanted some "italian atmosphere" - a cozy place - and decided to stay in this family-run hotel. a great decision. within the historic center, close to the university, great atmosphere, friendly staff, i loved it!
Family owned, staff kindness, silence, position 100 m from city heart, feel like home.
Great accomodation in a great central location. The family running the hotel were very friendly, helpfull and accommodating. We really enjoyed the breakfast with a special treat of home baked cake. The location is perfect really close to the university and Duomo with a nice student popular cafe/bar very close.
Hotel is clean , situaited at narrow , peaceful street . Staff is very good. Ther was old , beatyful furnishing in the room . Hotel is located in the old town , 5 minutes from the Corso Vanucci , the principal street of Perugia.
