staff were great breakfast lovely great location near the waterbus stop
Found it a bit hard to find in the dark. Head towards the football stadium may have helped us locate it quicker.
Starting from the time we stepped in, the warm welcome we received and the way we were treated it was very special. .... thanks for the memorable stay.
There is nothing not to like... everything was so perfect
Staff was great. Breakfasts lovely and excellent. Water view great. Very clean and well maintained. When Shirley had her wallet stolen from her purse near the train station, Stefano helped her contact her credit union to get new cards--delivered by Fed Ex. She paid him to do that. In close quarters, sleeping was a little noisy.
Long, long, difficult walk, over five blocks (hauling luggage-Day i) or to and from yacht each day. No restaurants for dinner (they charge 50 euros-elegant!). A small diner two blocks away--pizza after 7 PM. No yacht club or clubhouse, no onboard socializing. Water taxi from train station to yacht was $90+ so we took waterbus (Day i) and after. No golf carts or quads allowed on that part of the island--they are needed! No choice but to WALK. Ann in Carson City, NV
Overall is good. Things that I like: 1. everyone including the owners, employees, is very nice 2. clean and quiet 3. pleasant surrounding area 4. delicious breakfast 5. easy access to the waterboat pier (once you know the way)
Things that can be improved: 1. no internet access in the room, neither wireless or wired. Understand the structure of the yacht is a challenge to allow wifi to reach every corner, but If there is telephone connection to each room, why not wired internet connection? 2. it will definitely help if the direction to the yacht includes a map, especially for those who tries to location the yacht the very first time
At first it looks like the location is not conveniant but after you have been to Venice you decide that it's better to be a liitle bit far to the center. It was nice to have breakfast at the yacht and a bit romantic I think..
Wifi should have worked at the room also..and at the breakfast we had expected tomato( I know it's not regular in europa but still we expect:))
wonderful experience in Bert.good view, good staff.
except the closestool in our room is not easy to be flushed.T-T
Everything is fantastic. The boss is really nice. The hospitality is impressed me and my wife. If we come back to Venice, there is no other options.
quiet location with beautiful views of Venice free wifi chocolate on pillow dinner was 5 star!! Breakfast Staff and warm welcome Distance from beach (Lido 5mins)
Even though we had an adaptor for British to European plugs, the yacht plug points were different once again so we had to charge phones for our alarm in the hall. Having a suitable convertor per room would be good. That is the only thing.
Very welcoming. Everything you needed for a very enjoyable stay and fantastic dinner and breakfast onboard. Everyone onboard very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again
All good nothing not to like
Everything, especially the bella note when Stefano prepared a fabulous repas for our 48 th anniversary. The cabin was beautifully appointed and the bathroom luxurious
This is a fantastic gem of a find. The service was second to none, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The yacht was spotless, and breakfast superb. I would most certainly recommend this stay.
Everything possible was done to make the 2 night stay enjoyable. The yacht is afloat but there is almost no movement at all - and virtually no noise. Breakfast out on deck in the morning sun and looking across the lagoon to Lido was especially memorable. The largest of cruise liners pass about 400m metres away as they leave Venice. Would we go again - we certainly hope to.
Our first night was in the smallest cabin which is VERY small and has bunk beds - for a 73 year old the top bunk was initially inaccessible. Extra steps were found but it was still difficult, but oh what comfortable mattresses.
Everyone was professional, friendly and so helpful, and the service was like 5 star hotel. Breakfast was more than you could dream, it was absolutely the best breakfast on our 13 days journey in Italy! We also loved the location: quiet and peaceful, but only a short (few minutes) walk from St.Elena Vaporetto stop. It was also easy to find. We chose the smallest cabin because of its affordable price. The cabin was impeccably clean (as was the rest of the boat, too) and well equipped for its size. It was OK for two people, but I think it would be perfect for a solo traveller. We will travel to Venice again next summer and we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
Nothing bad to say, we loved everything!
The staff, led by the lovely Liliana, made us feel right at home aboard this ocean-going yacht. The staff prepared two world class Italian dinners and served a wonderful breakfast. All meals and cocktails served on one of three levels of open deck. We are now planning a 7-10 day cruise Summer of '16.
The fact we had to leave the beautiful yacht "Bert".
if you want a real Venice adventure, stay at this Yacht. I really enjoyed it.
We've been wowed from arrival to departure. All of the crew members were extremly friendly and gave us a 5 stars welcome. From enjoying a drink on the top deck to taking breakfast by the sea, we've been 110% satisfied with our stay on board. Away from the crowd but yet extremly close to the main centre, we would highly recommend Bert to anybody wanting a perfect gateaway. Would also suggest to try out the 3 course meal which was delicious and extremely good value for money. Thanks to all the team for this fantastic stay.
There is nothing you cannot like about staying on this Boat.
Accommodations that were obviously outfitted with luxury and quality in mind, charming staff, beautifully quiet marina away from the hustle and bustle of Venice yet just a convenient vaporetto ride away
Everythng: The staff, the room the neighborhood. Breakfast was fantastic as was our on board Anniversary Dinner. The stateroom was spacious (I think ours was one of the biggest) The bathrro was compact but had everything, a soaking tub,a shower with body sprays, sink and even a bidet ( which came in handy as one cannot flush toilet paper down).
The initial locating of the slip was a litte complicated. staff member came and escorted us, a fairly usual occurrance I was told. ( I think I may fraw them a map to use), Other than that, it was the finest lodging of our 2 week trip ( most costly, but well worth it for the leisure, vacation event, portion of our journey)
You feel like a celebrity inside the luxury yacht. Stefano and his family is very nice and friendly. After a while, you will be a member of Stefano family. you must try at least one time to have diner male on board. Stefano wife cock the most delicious Italian food. Thank you Stefano and hope to see you next year.
I just stay for one night :(
The motor yacht Bert feels like a luxury you shouldn't be able to afford. The hosts are welcoming, service is personal and nothing is too much trouble. It is at the far end of Venice, great views of the Lido and very handy for the vaporetto stop. It was good to be away from the busy tourist areas. We had a double cabin with jacuzzi bath. The bathroom is well appointed, the cabin is spacious and there is lots of storage space. Breakfast is excellent. Wi-fi is available on deck but not in the room-no problem to walk a few steps though. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again. Very highly recommend this specialty lodging.
From the moment we arrived until the moment we left everything was excellent. Stefano sent us very comprehensive directions and details by email in advance including a dinner menu that we requested. We would recommend getting a shared water taxi as you get dropped off on the pontoon behind the yacht which is such a way to arrive - we also got an unexpected Grand Canal tour as others were dropped off! The airport bus and Vaporetto are also easy, a bit cheaper but slower. We had a lovely welcome and were made to feel so at home. We had dinner on the first night and what can I say? Superb food and service with just the two of us dining on the deck on a luxury yacht overlooking the Lido - Wonderful. We had a twin cabin as we booked late which was great but the doubles are even better. Breakfast on deck is also lovely, plenty available and all very relaxed as there are so few guests on board. We liked being in the peaceful marina away from the melee of central Venice. Being a bit out of the way may not be for everyone but a night time walk back from St Mark's is a great wind down to peace and quiet after a day in the city. You can walk the waterfront in to and from the city or take the Vaporetto, all very easy. We couldn't recommend Bert enough; go and stay!
Nothing at all.
*clean *comfortable *good service *hospitality, the receptionist: she was so good *nice breakfast & especially the croissant
*The internet not in the room
everythinf was lovely! Thank you Bert <3
Nice boat & the owner takes care is the best part. Obviously expensive but ok sometime.
Very very small room, Bathroom. No water for bath. So many restictions about everything.
