difficult to acces the center. But this is a common problem for all the hotels in florence center.

Good location in the heart of Florence.

Not good visible entrance. Problems with private garage. Hotel has agreement with one garage but when you put car here, in the center, thay a driving car somewhere so far from here. You cant take nothing from your own car, even for the price of 26 e per day. I need ambrella from car, but nobady was not able to tell me where are my car to take ambrella.

The smell in the room was not good.

The location was fabulous and we had a view of the Duomo from our bedroom. The standard of service and quality of the room was excellent. We would visit this hotel again as it was so central and so accessible to all the important sights. We would recommend this hotel to friends and other tourists.

The staff wasent helpfull at all. The girl that checked us in at night didnt even knew english and made us feel bad about no speaking italian. The manager was very rude and gave us the feeling that he doesnt care about us.

Perfect location, just 40 m from Duomo

The facilities were excellent and the location just a street or two away from the cathedral can't be beat. You are centtral to everything. It was clean and the breakfast was fine. It is a great value for your money. No complaints.

Hotel Dei Lanzi is in an excellent location for the places we wanted to see in the center of Florence. It made walking about very easy with access to nearby museums and galleries, the Hop-On/Hop-Off, the Information Center with tour bus sign-up desk for day trips to other places, as well. It is priced just right and we felt every thing from check-in/out; the friendly, helpful personnel at the desk; comfort and cleanliness of the room; and the breakfast selections to be very good. We brought back pics and info about the hotel and location to give to our travel agent as a personal recommendation for her to use if she has future requests about accommodations for other travelers she serves.

No negative comments. We were very satisfied with all aspects of our 5-day stay.

The room was a nice size and a comfortable bed.

The service at the hotel was very poor. When we first arrived it took about 30 minutes to get checked in even though we were the only people checking in. The man running the front desk was very un-professional and was laughing when he said he didn't have a room for us. Finally after being put in our room is was freezing and the thermostat wasnt working.

Great location

The location was convenient for major sightseeing from the center of the historic district. Also the city bus stop to Fiesole was a 5 minute walk and Centrale Stazione was a quick 10 minute walk down the direct side streets. I felt safe in this neighborhood both day and night. It is in a pedestrian only zone and is brilliantly lit at night. I think I enjoyed it even more then! The front desk staff was kind and helpful at all hours.

Beware La Signora in the breakfast room! She keeps a close eye on the mediocre offerings, whether or not you belong there, and if you want a roll or piece of fruit for a snack later. The breakfast was disappointing. A powdered caffe machine is not my idea of morning coffee, and then have to pay extra for a real espresso. The fruit was hard and not ripe and the croissants were "bready" and not fine quality for the package price of the room. I'd have rather paid a lower room-only price and gone elsewhere to eat. And ask La Signora to smile more! As a customer I am paying for that precious food she is so worried about!

The location of the hotel is very good, very near to the Cathedral.

The room was very dirty, we even found spiders in the room. The view of the room was very claustrophobic.

Had to pay for wi fi although the room was an expensive 150 euro per night could not get a recommendation for a moderately priced restaurant.. In formation on city buses not available

Location was fantastic, very close to main attractions and shops, facilities were basic but bedding etc was very clean. Good value for money. We booked a triple room which contained three single beds, hotel is dated but kept very clean, we did not spend very much time in the hotel as there was so much to do and see in the city. We took a train from the airport to Florence which takes just over an hour then took a taxi to the hotel 8 euro's, as hotel is down a side street so could be hard to find.b

The location was perfect! Near the Duomo across the street from the greatest gelato store grom, and so close to all the great museums, piazzas, shops and market. Restaurants in the area are okay, but you can find some great ones if you look in the smaller streets.

The breakfast was not great, much better to go out and have a nice espresso and pastry at the many near by cafes.

We reserved a room for 4 nights and at the check in they offered us an apartment 4 stars located in front of the republic plaza for the same price. The apartment was ok and there was plenty of space. Two floors and kitchen.

The apartment didn't have any heating and the nights were cold. We had to walk 5 minutes for breakfast to the mail hotel. The maid had to clean the room latest till 11 o'clock everyday. Very uncomfortable if you are a long sleeper and want just to relax. The breakfast is basic OK for 3 stars.
