Just as we expected in terms of the history of the fortress and the winery. Quiet for the most part. Friendly staff and good wine!

what did we like...............everything...............in short pretty much perfect. Really friendly staff, lovely tasteful accomodation, great restaurant and wonderful wines. Beautiful area what more can you wish for. Would definately recommend.

Location, history food, wine tasting and friendly staff our room was an apartment. It was large enough with a small semi-private patio. We stayed four days and wished we could have staued longer, the pool was large enough to exercise in. We would consider going back.

Stayed in Apartment (Christina). Large spacious rooms with seperate living/dining space from bedroom and seperate large bathroom. Bedroom walkout to small terrace right next to restaurant - nice smells. Views from the hotel area are spectacular although our room did not have an outlook that way. Staff, Christina and Elidiada(Spelling? I guessed) were extremely helpful. Had a wine tour at short notice on site and sampled, and bought their excellent wine and olive oil. No driving after sampling too!!! Read earlier reviews about Max's restaurant and they are all true. Max went out of his way to ensure we had a table every night despite large group bookings. He is very attentive and his food is excellent - try the tuna or lamb chops which are our favourite, pan fried spinach also excellent. When I went to check out Christina asked that my wife drop by also so that they could say goodbye to her too - a very nice gesture.

Shower door leaked. The floor was tiled so no big deal but we had to squeeze out the bath mat occasionally so it didn't spread.

cette année il faisait très chaud et la climatisation a manqué, nous avions quand même des ventilateurs. le menage devait être fait tous les trois jours, on nous avons changé les serviettes de toilette 1 fois dans la semaine, mais pas de ménage fait !! Il manque des containéres a verre, nous les avons chercher,( car nous aimons trier pour respecter la nature)

Das Personal war äußerst freundlich. Das Restaurant im Innenhof (Il Celliere a Castagnoli) bot exquisite Küche zum sehr guten Preis. Unser Doppelzimmer hatte eine grandiose Aussicht auf die umliegende Toskana. Nach Siena waren es 20 min. Autofahrt, nach Florenz ca. 1 Stunde. Man kann auf dem Anwesen eine Weinprobe und eine Besichtigung der Weinkeller machen. Der Vinsanto ist ausgezeichnet! Christine spricht sehr gut deutsch und kann einem immer weiterhelfen, wenn es um Tipps für die Gegend geht. Das gleiche gilt für Max Adorno vom Restaurant, allerdings dann auf englisch...! Das Frühstück im Innenhof war im Sommer wunderschön. Es war gut bestückt (frisches Obst, Schinken, Käse, Brot, verschiedene Säfte, Cornflakes, Joghurt) und auf Bestellung aber ohne Extra-Kosten gab es Tee, Kaffee, Capuccino, Milch oder Ei.

Für eine Woche ist die Vielfalt vom Frühstück ausreichend, darüber hinaus wäre mehr Abwechslung vermutlich wünschenswert.

La struttura è immersa in un paesaggio incantevole con una vista magnifica. Il posto ideale per andare per fattorie come abbiamo fatto noi, per passeggiate o per rilassarsi alla grande piscina. Lo staff dell'hotel è simpatico e gentilissimo e sempre pronto a risolvere qualsiasi problema. Uno speciale grazie a Max che gestisce l'ottimo ristorante. Consigliabili I loro vini! Torneremo di sicuro.

Nous avons aimé la situation géographique,très belle vue sur les vignes du chianti. L accueil est fort convivial.decoration très raffinée ,alliant le respect des vieilles pierres et quelques notes contemporaines très sobres.grand salon ouvert a tous sur terrasse avec vue Dégustation de chianti excellent dans les caves de l établissement Staff très sympathique Restaurant dans le château, gère indépendamment cuisine très raffinée À recommander pour Amoureux des établissements de charme très confortables Bonne situation entre Florence et sienne,dans une région très belle à découvrir .superbes villages tout autour

это просто какая то сказка! тут самый нереальный виды, супер номера за ту цену что они предлагают!))) тут можно дегустировать вино круглыми сутками и гулять по окрестностям, тихо, красиво. хочу еще раз!

A localização é maravilhosa, uma vista de tirar o folego, adoro campo!!! Muito confortavel, comida excelente, o chefe é um amor de pessoa. Fiquei sabendo lá que existe um curso de cucina, se soubesse antes teria me programado para ficar mais tempo e fazer o curso. Precisam divulgar, muitas pessoas como eu curtem participar desses cursos curtos de cucina, é uma delicias aprender a cozinha italiana que é tão rica de sabores. Terei que voltar lá para fazer um desses cursos....

Beautiful surroundings and an exciting design of the accommodation, very friendly staff, and an ambitious gourmet restaurant. Also an interesting wine cellar and enotek.

Really in the countryside with few opportunities. We were missing outdoor furniture for relaxing in the garden and in the pool area.

Mooie ligging

Personeel had zeer weinig aandacht/geen enkele service(o.a. bij ontbijt en negeerde ons verzoek om kapotte lamp in badkamer te vervangen), badkamer zeer krap, zwembad onverzorgd Men lijkt wel druk met wijnproeverij, maar is o.i. totaal niet ingesteld op gasten.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter - deutsch und englisch sprechend, sehr flexibel und zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, motiviert und engagiert. Sehr schönes Pool, sauber und ruhig gelegen. Tolles Appartement, super Frühstücksmöglichkeiten im sehr netten, angenehmen Restaurant. Angenehme, ruhige Atmosphäre, keine Hektik, Entspannung vom Alltag, totale Ruhe und Entspannheit!
