From the moment we made our booking, Daniella rang us to confirm our arrival time. We arrived to Florence train station late Friday night and walked our way to Daniella's. To my surprise we arrived to a beautiful palazzo. Most palaces don't have a homey feel, yet this one did. Daniella greeted us from atop the balcony and it felt like we were at "home" and reconnected with an old family member. She and her staff gave us a warm welcome from the first moment and we felt it until the last moment. We had nice conversations and didn't want to leave! The room we stayed in was magical. Every object has been specially placed and with purpose. I highly recommend this place to anyone spending time in Florence. You will be pleased with your choice and you will keep coming back for more love and magic.
The Staff were great greeted us when we arrived and were very helpful. The rooms are stunning and location is great right in the center. Also Breakfast at ZaZa was great, we loved the restaurant even for lunch and dinner great place.
The mattress on the bed was too soft not very comfortable.
Good location, close to duomo, very nice staff
Room too large and too tall to feel comfortable
this place s simply amazing. you ll find yourself in a renaissance palace next to the duomo with amazing decorations and original statues and frescoes. my room was incredibly nice with very good design as well as all of the hotel. but most of all the hospitality was just great both Daniela the owner and daisy the director helped me feel at ease and enjoy my week end in Florence. to sum up a place you definitely have to check if in Florence. cannot wait to go back with my gf
My wife and I spent three nights at the Palazzo Tolomei - a truly lovely and romantic residence situated in the heart of the beautiful Florence city centre. Our stay at the Palazzo Tolomei was greatly enriched by Daniella and her team who were truly marvellous hosts who attended to us like family and for whom absolutely nothing was an issue, including suggesting and booking dinners for us at truly wonderful restaurants. We highly recommend the Palazzo Tolomei and we very much look forward to staying there again. Thank you Daniella - see you again very soon.
the hotel is wonderful！the assistances are so nice！and there r so many nice snacks in the main hall. I will go to the hotel if i go to florence Again.
The way that the Palazzo maintained the wonderful art for many years.A beautiful gathering of artworks.
The breakfast option was not good,as the service as well as the food did not match the high standard of the Palazzo.
Just spectacular. We were in the 'Deluxe Suite'. I have only twice laid in a hotel bed and stared at the ceiling for an hour or more. Once was in India, laid up with Bombay Belly, the other was for far nicer reasons, in Palazzo Tolomei, becuase the fresco on the roof (circa 1485) was huge and incredible. A true Renaissance Palace, now housing just 8 glorious rooms, locatd less than 200m from the Duomo. Manged by the most lovely staff and the stylish and so generous Proprietress Daniella. Cannot recommend the Palazzo highly enough.
Location of hotel excellent. Outstanding decor. Hosts couldn't do enough for us. All lovely people.
In our deluxe suite, we felt the small bathroom didn't match the sumptuous living area.
The classic elegance, coupled with modern finishes were pleasing to the eye! Stunning!!! The warm, personal management of the staff made the palace feel like a countryside bed and breakfast...in the heart of Florence city center!!!
10:30am check-out is problematic if you wish to enjoy the comfortable bed for more time...however, breakfast outside the hotel makes it necessary to get up and out earlier anyway.
Everything, very nice palazzo in the centre of Firenze, the staff go out of their way to make your stay there as pleasant as possible
The feeling of a privat house. The welcome you would get from a friend. The location right in the center, the spacious rooms and the incredible warmth from the owner.!yes, we loved it all.
beautiful place with fresco ceilings; near train station, central market and the duomo Very helpful staffs and a lovely owner The common areas are also beautiful, you can easily spend hours just wondering in the hotel. Amazing place, a must in Firenze
A beautiful "palace" in Florence The owner/host Daniela is charming and very helpful. The staff Daisy and Micheal are as nice a s could be
Nothing negative here
The location is pretty much excellent, you will get everywhere walking. If you arrive from train it is even close to it so that's another location plus. The staff is very kind and serviceable, you will have zero problems during your stay if you ask for recommendations and advices about how to enjoy the city.
The problems I saw there were the facilities and the Internet. The residence is an old house and it is advertised to be that appealing for your romantic side but it ends up just being an inconvenience. The locks are the biggest problem , you get keys and old locks to deal with. I saw several guests dealing with problems opening their doors multiple times, luckily for me I never had real issues with mine. Also the Internet never worked in my room, which is a minor inconvenience but worth noting for those who work from home like me. They have common leisure areas where the Internet worked (most of the times) though.
It is one of my best experience of hotel. I am sure I will come to stay again.
Hi, I'm Thomas and I'm 15. One of my dreams was always to visit Firenze. When we first met receptionists and Daniela we were amazed. Very helpful and smiling people. We stayed there for three days and we regret nothing. An unordinary residence in the heart of historical centre of Florence. Our room and hotel itself was perfect. Sometimes we felt like in a palace. Wonderful experience. We will definitely come back.
Everything! First and foremost Daniella and the staff. They made our stay unforgettable! They booked tickets for the museums for us, recommended excellent restaurants and took personal interest in all their guests. The Palazzo is beautiful and the location is perfect. On the day we left we decided to try to come every year to Palazzo Tolomei....
We stayed there for 11 days, but still feel it's not enough! Amazing Daniela, Daisy, Michael, and the fantastic Palazzo Tolomei really lighted our honeymoon trip! Thank you so much!!! Definitely recommend place to stay in Florence, just don't want to say it too loud, because we want to have another booking next year!:)
Art historian's dream! You're in a stunning, family run palazzo with original 17th century frescos, need I say more?
I will the vest hospitality.
My husband and I stayed at Palazzo Tolomei in the beginning of August for just one night. We wish we stayed longer and would recommend it to anyone. We had a huge gorgeous room. It was truly like being in a palace with a beautifully painted high ceiling. The owner, Daniella, couldn't have been nicer or more hospitable and helpful. Finally, the location was perfect!
From the first time when you meet the receptionist your mood is better and better. Helpful, smiling kind people are working in this residence which makes you miss them when leaving. Service is definitely excellent and the apartments breathtaking. Thank you very much for everything:)
I was really impressed by my stay in Palazzo Tolomei - Residenza D'Epoca. First of all, location is amazing - just right in the heart of Florence center. Secondly, rooms and the whole inner environment of the place is fabulous. As well, what can be better to have a room with a view straight to idyllic red Florentine roofs! And finally, a huge thanks for the staff! Daisy, Daniela and Michael - you really know how to provide the best service! The whole staying there was a very memorable experience, which I definitely could recommend for everybody, looking for a refined time in Florence!
Fabulous hotel. Staff was amazing, very welcoming and went above what was expected. We had a gorgeous room with a 15th c painting on the ceiling above the bed. The entire hotel is historic, and is more like a small palace. Multiple wines, bakery treats available 24/7 in the reception and public sitting areas - included in stay. Daniela made several romantic dinner reservations for us and recommended great things for us to see and do. We will be going back. Wonderful experience.
