Location great. Wifi great
We paid for a 2 bedroom apartment but were given a one bedroom apartment even though we had already been informed by email that the original apartment we booked was unavailable and we were to be given 2 separate 1 bedroom apartments at no extra cost. I will be emailing booking.com witha formal complaint on my return to the UK
We were not given the Panoramic View Apt. we reserved near Pitti Palace, Pont Vecchio, many shops and restaurants. We were shuttled many blocks away to a dismal neighborhood with no view and few if any shops or eateries. We were told they no longer had the unit we booked and had not had it for over 6 months. Fortunately, Booking.com stepped up and refunded part of this booking which helped. All other bookings for 3 week of travel met or exceeded expectations except this one.
Nice an clean.
Cold and dark apartment. Wi-Fi didn't work. The staff was helping until they got the payment.

We stayed in 2 apartments. Via dei servi 7 is very modern and in an excellent location for the Duomo and Accademia. Via dei neri 22 is a much older style apartment but probably more practical for longer stays. It is also well located, close to the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio. The wifi worked fine in both locations.
As many others have reported, there was a "problem" with out booked apartment (via dei servi 7) when we arrived on a Sunday and we were asked to stay in via dei neri for one night until it could be fixed. It is annoying when you just want to get out and see things to have to wait around to transfer your bags the next day. However, I made sure I did not pay until the problem was resolved. Via dei servi has no airconditioning upstairs although a portable is supplied. If you are prepared for the potential hassle, these apartments are good value in good locations.
Proximity to all the sights in Florence was excellent - walking distance to everything. It was quite comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.
The noisy neighbours disrupted sleeping a bit.
We were given a different apartment than was booked. I booked the modern one and was given the much sparse one.

We felt uneasy the whole time. We had booked a different apartment and it changed last minute. It was difficult to contact staff.
In the month of July 2014, we stayed at Via de Servi 7 and the location was perfect, fully renovated inside. Right near the Duomo, with a great little coffee shop and ice cream parlour next door. So convenient, we shopped at the grocery store across the street for breakfast & dinner. We used their kitchen for 2 days during our 4 night visit when we got bored of eating too much pizza and pasta. They also have washing machine & dryer.
We were a 2 families, 4 people in each family. When we booked we were suppose to be in the same building. Somehow, my other family member got moved to another building about 10 minutes away. We were not pleased with that. Their are too many cons too talk about. We were disappointed there is no front desk or customer service nearby. We never receive any email to tell us to phone before we arrive, so someone can meet with us and let us into the apartment. When I arrived, I didn't have a working europe telephone to call. So, we went to a chinese restaurant (which was a couple stores to the address) to ask for help to call them. No one answered the phone, and we started to get worried. We finally got hold of someone after 30 minutes. We waited another 30 minutes for the person to come bring us to our suite. It was a hot month in July 2014, the air-con was portable in the bedroom upstairs but did not cool the room. We did not sleep very well. The suite had very little lighting, we asked for someone to come replace a light bulb in the main area but no one showed up. We bought one and changed it ourselves. The fuse blew a few times cause you can't have the air-con on the top and bottom floor, the washing machine and a few lights on at the same time. We eventually learned to have only a few electrical items on at a time. Our 1st night, the fuse blew off at 10pm, couldn't figure out where the switch was inside the apartment. There was no flashlight or candles in the apartment when that happened. We were told to switch the fuse panel that was near the front entrance of the building, that didn't work. Couldn't call management because, we didn't have a working phone. So we went to the Chinese restaurant next door once again to ask for help. The waitress came over to help us right away. The phone and Wi-fi reception sucked. You need to be outside the building to be able to dial out and no wi-fi at all.
not much to like I'm afraid
We got off to a bad start. Firstly, we were told before arrival that the apartment we secured months ago at a good price in our preferred area was no longer available and we were allocated a different apartment, 2km away. When we arrived there, the whole apartment smelt very strong of mould. We were told that it's a result of a recently broken pipe, but there was an old looking mould covered with cobwebs on a completely different wall in the other corner of the apartment. The aircon was broken; the garden unkempt. The place was grubby. We had a 1-yr-old baby with us, so we asked to be moved elsewhere but the only apartment available was even further from our original destination. In all fairness, the staff gave us a new place without much fuss, but we wasted a whole afternoon sorting it out when we could have been visiting Florence. They didn't even bother to go with us to view it, as they said they were too busy. The new apartment was too far away (almost 3km from where we originally booked and we had no car), and although moderately clean and modern, it was missing some vital equipment (e.g. a kettle, microwave), there was no storage in the bathroom, shelves were tilting so things kept sliding off them. All those small things that make your stay comfortable were not there. Moreover, the heavy metal curtain pole in one of the rooms was broken and dangerously hanging off the window which posed a major safety issue. This really spoilt our stay in Florence. We were penalised for booking early what looked to be a perfect apartment and were given a place that no one wanted to take in the last minute. Booking.com were not that helpful either. Will never go back there again!
Very central. Easy to get in touch with the hosts when we first arrived.
Don't go to this place unless you plan to go out all night. Although we were warned that it could be a bit noisy at night (which we did not consider a problem since we live in the centre of Amsterdam), we were not prepared to what happened after 2300 hrs, when extremely loud music started which forced us to close windows and deprived us from sleep; at 0430 the music was finally turned off but then at 0600 cleaners started to clean the whole Piazza. Unbearable. Apart from that the apartment was extremely basic: only two glasses for a family of four, only one decent cooking pan, washing machine could not be used. shower almost fell off the wall. We left the next day although we paid for two nights.
it is an apartment, very cosy, great location. the host was really kind to give us the key without any deposit. would stay there again.

Actually, I've booked a completely different apartment right in the centre of Florence. In a few weeks prior to my arrival I was told that there were some plumber issues with that apartment. So, I simply didn't have enough time to find something in the similar location for nearly the same price. The new one was not in the suburbs (near the station and San Lorenzo) but we were planning to live in the historic centre, that's why I booked an apartment indeed in advance. Another thing it's the WiFi evidently. In that old apartment they had it, at least it was in my booking confirmation. I googled a new one, and it also must've had it according to their website, so I didn't ask. And they just didn't have it. Same history with an air-conditioner

Our appartmant has been change few hours before arrivale, new one was better located but not so good. WiFi wasnt working
I have booked 2 nights for the via San Gallo unit. On arrival, there was no power. Owner said government doing some work, should recover by evening. When back in the evening, still no power, so we call owner and told that we had to shift to another smaller unit near 27 via dei neri. That night, power tripped again. It was complete darkness and nothing we can do. Next day, owner moved us to another even smaller unit at via de barbadori 3. There is only 4 beds with 5 of us. Again there was problem with the power and we had to switch the circuit breaker back to ON position every 2 minutes when it tripped. Owner said he will return back to his office to email the electrical company and problem will be solved. He even asked me to email him so that he can compensate me a little for all the misfortunes we met. After that, the problem persisted throughout the night and he never answer my call. Until today, I have not receive any compensation from him. Is there any thing booking.com can help?
The suite was beautiful! We loved the architectural brick arched ceilings. The suite was, spacious, clean, simple decor, hard wood floors, roomy and comfortable. Centrally located and easily accessible. Train station is a quick 20-25 minute walk (directly to/from). Boboli Gardens 5-10 minute walk. Wonderful pastry cafe across the street. Quaint wine bar directly across the street, pizza close by. A great place when you don't want a hotel and desire a more at home feeling. Safe.
We were under the impression the hotel was within walking distance of the train station. It is...However you must meet at a separate location to obtain keys and make payment. The meeting location cost $10.50 euro via taxi from the train station. Once business was conducted and we still had a 30-minute walk to the suite. Pulling/carrying your bags through cobblestone streets (after already paying $10.50 euro for a cab), through a city you are not familiar with can be quite frustrating! We were told suite rules and the WiFi code were posted on the back of the door...There was no information anywhere in the suite. We were not provided the WiFi code until our second day; only after going through Booking.com to attain. The hot water is very, very limited for showering - make it quick; 2-3 min or the cold water sets in! The washing machine was very small holding a maximum of 2 beach towels. Needless to say it took awhile to do laundry (no dryer). It was challenging to find places to hang and dry our freshly cleaned clothes. The tv remote control did not work...we were able to get the tv on, however only 1 channel and set volume. There was no iron or ironing board (not stated in the room description - however would have been nice especially since there was no dryer). There was no thermostat to control the temperature in the room.
i stayed in an amazing 1st floor apartment near Santo Spirito. Beautifully decorated with all the mod cons. Huge comfortable bed. Everything was perfect. Friendly staff (also very handsome!).
Bit of a noisy road but what can you do?
The welcoming and very friendly reception by the Rep. The apartment was high above the noise and bustle of Florence. Rooms were spacious and light. Security was excellent both in the building and the apartment.
Very dusty especially on shelves and shutters. This was a real problem as my wife has a dust allergy and it affected her asthma rather badly. A lack of a good clean spoilt what could have been a wonderful apartment.
