눉These aren't necessarily negatives, just things to be aware of. The quaint and awesome elevator is indeed tiny. Two of us with our carry-on luggage were cramped. Not a big deal really. If you are in a group or have a lot of luggage, you might take separate trips. Or, if you don't mind stairs, just take the wide marble stairs up to your floor, something we did many times. (I added a photo of the elevator)
Lastly, as mentioned already, you won't recognize the building as obviously containing a hotel when you reach the address. You need to go up to the massive old looking doors, look for the buzzer for Napolart and have them buzz you in. (I added a photo taken at nighttime of the doors).
눇There are a combinations of great things about this place, specifically location, comfort, cleanliness, truly pleasant customer service from absolutely everyone we encountered, a willingness by everyone to help with tips, reservations, etc.,
And then the building itself. It seems ancient and abandoned from the outside and there is absolutely no indication that you are at the right place except that you are dropped off by your taxi driver at the address of the hotel. You go up to massive old doors, look at the little buzzers, and buzz the one labeled Napolart to be let in. Then you take what looks like an antique elevator to their floor and you are very pleasantly surprised and the relaxing, clean, quiet surroundings. At that point, the entire building and entrance feels like a wonderful secret place just for you.
Regarding location, you are only 5 minutes walking distance to the ferries, 10 minutes to the beach and Bay of Naples, 15 minutes max to the center of old town. If you arrive late, there is a pretty darn good pizza place across the street called SoloPizza and the basic margherita pizza we shared with buffalo mozzarella was fantastic.
