It was very handy to the walled town, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Our room was excessively noisy and the complimentary push bikes were not well maintained. |

Friendly and very helpful staff. Plenty of parking space. Free loan of bicycles a big bonus. Breakfast a bit limited -- strange coffee and dodgy toaster. |

Very good location, the rooms with balcony, very nice staff . The breakfast could be better considering a 4* hotel, but, that it's a problem of almost all the hotels in Italy. |

We liked especially the kindness of the staff and the room were neat and comfortable. Room were much cheaper than mentioned on the pricelist in the rooms. Breakfast was included and was ok ; the buffet contained italian and foreign breakfast. The hall - bar and staircase were beautiful. The hotel is situated at a very noisy boulevard. Luckily the rooms were aircondioned so you could leave the windows closed. The foottrip to the citycentre was not that nice. |

The helpfulness of the staff, their excellence of the English language making our holiday more enjoyable. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as perfect as possible. Only 10 minute walk from the walls of Lucca. |

Short distance to Old Town, which allows us visit old town every evenning, after car trips during the day. Noise from street and nearby highway was very distracting. It is not a place to be in but only for sleep, but during the day you want to be somwhere else. In Old Town for example. |

Ideal location, easy to find with plenty of parking yet ony 10/15 mins from historic centre of Lucca. Very easy for a driver lacking in confidence abroad. Very friendly and helpful staff, free bike hire and lots of advice re restaurants and offered value for money pension terms without being asked. |

The staff at the Napoleon are first class.Very helpful, with lots of good, local knowledge to help the visitor.Parking is good, and the garage system is excellent if you want to lock your car up.Breakfast is good, with plenty of choice.Very close to Lucca town centre. For 2 out of 3 nights the air conditioning did not work, and the rooms were 30c.The system is old and needs an upgrade. The staff did their best in very hot circumstances to be helpful, but were unable to get the system repaired.Hotel need a serious upgrade, carpets are worn, plaster cracks in walls, needs painting. |

The hotel was outside the Lucca City wall and therfore not as expensive. It suited my requiremnets for cost, comfort and accessibility. My wife and I thouroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel boasts a panoramic view, by way of photographs, but I could not access the roof for this view |

I do not think this hotel should be classed as a 4 star hotel. From our experience of staying in this hotel I would say it was a 2 star hotel. |

The staff and 'can do' attitude. I spend around 180 nights a year in hotels all over the world and found their approach refreshing and genuine. Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member. Thank you. Road noise could be a problem for some. Some families (like us) might struggle with the traffic when walking to the city. The pavements are typically Italian, narrow and road users and are little insensitive to pedestrians. Although even with this in mind we would still choose to stay at this hotel again. A short taxi fare is the best way to see the city at night. |

This is a very nice hotel in Lucca. It was very easy to find and is in a central location for visiting other towns also. It advertised that it has air conditioning, but when we were there May15-17th, 2009 it was not turned on, as was the case with other hotels in Italy & France. The temperature turned hot, in the 90's. We had to have windows open without screens..then ended up with bug bites! |

Easy to find when travelling from Pisa by car, well located and with a spacious car park. Bedroom good quality. Breakfast had an excellent choice and the quality was good. The hotel is very good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is next door to a 24hr cafe. This is convenient but it is noisy during the night and so the window/shutters need to be kept closed if you have a room overlooking it. |
