The front desk spoke English well and were very helpful in arranging a driver to take us to the airport. Our room had free wireless.

The room smelled of stale cigarettes. The rugs appeared old an dirty thought the hotel, including our room. The decor was dated and dingy. The walls are thin, so you hear everything, including the banging from renovations that are happening. The hotel is in the bad section of town. We got away from the area as soon as we could, because we did not feel that safe. Also, this section of town is the Asian section, do many of the establishments are of Asian representation. I would have preferred a more Italian section. Although the Termini station is nearby, I personally would not consider it within walking distance, if you are weighted down with lots of luggage, as we were. I would not recommend this hotel and will never stay there again.

What a pleasant surprise and warm welcome we received, on arrival at the Napoleon hotel! Francesco at reception, not only briefed us on the hotels facilities but went out of this way to provide us with information on nearby amenities and tourist attractions. We would not have known where to start and valued the staff's hospitality and friendly advice. We smiled all the way, from the beautiful entrance at reception to our lovely spacious room complete with clean white linen and heated towels! Our bathroom was beautiful, extremely clean and spacious and we felt right at home. The hospitality continued throughout our stay. It did not end here and we were cordially invited by Francesco to attend a cheese and wine event with the Managing Director and some of the hotel's staff on our last evening at the Napoleon hotel. The entire experience exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wish to pay Rome a visit. The Napoleon hotel is a walk away from the closest train station (just outside the entrance) and centrally located.

The location was excellent for major attractions and the staff were delightful and very efficient.

Very helpful staff. I walked everywhere to major city sites. Rooms are clean but small typical of European cities. Very nice breakfast. Location a bit sketchy a night time for single women.

The staff is excellent.

The Hotel staff are second to none, everyone was professional, helpful and pleasant and treated you like you were important to them. Roberto the concierge did an amazing job tailoring a walking tour of the city to suit mine and my husbands needs and was thrilled that we spent a fantastic day completing it(all 8 hours!!) and was able to see everything we wanted to. The hotel is easy walking distance to both the Termini and the Colliseum with a Metro right outside the front of the hotel. All in all this hotel is truely welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone,in fact it is so good that by the time we leave Italy after a 3 week tour we will have stayed there on 3 different occasions.

Breakfast is basic and unappetising.Serving virtually undiluted orange squash rather than fresh orange juice is an unfortunate lapse in the hotel's otherwise high standards.
