Score from 3515 reviews Very good
Location was perfect, even we didn't need to buy Rome pass. Supermarkets, metro, trattoria etc were all walking distance. 15 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain. Perfect and spacious room, beautiful bathroom. Upstair rooms also have terrace to organize romantic dinners on your own. Rich breakfast for Italian style. Briefly, perfect !
Building's elevator is a old one. No room for 3 people but it's OK.
We stay there for five days and i suggest anyone who wants to travel to Rome. Perfect location, clean and comfortable rooms and kind and friendly staff Rosi..
Very good design. Good location. Very quiet, Despite of very busy street Via Nazionale. Отличное месторасположение, сюда Треки 15 мин. До Колизея 10 минут. Множество магазинов на Виа Национале, правда не брэндовых.
Breakfast could be better. Мы не едим мясные продукты, на завтрак не хватало, хотя бы сыра. Кофе, круассаны, фрукты, йогурт в наличии всегда.
We loved Rosie - very friendly and informative. She also arranged for Josep, a private hotel driver, to take us to the airport- he came up dressed in his suit and took luggage to the spotless mercedes. A very nice way to end our holiday. Breakfast was a sweet start to our day. The room was very clean, large and modern. Plenty of fresh towels.
The lack of signage for the boutique hotel. Hotel St.Moritz is the big sign to watch out for. There is a brass plaque on the side with Nationale 51 details.. 4th floor. The lift was quirky as the other reviewers mention, but that's Europe. The bed was a little firm for our liking but didn't prevent us from sleeping!
The hotel was very clean, comfortable and in an excellent position in Rome to enable you to get to all the attractions. We would recommend it to anyone.
The helpfulness and friendliness of staff
Staff was great, very helpful and willing to assist at all times. Great location and decor. We loved our stay at nazionale 51!
Clean room, great location.
Once you find the building it is still confusing to find. There should be a sign that says Nazionale is located up on the 4th floor. When climbing the stairs the staff at the hotel below, St. Moritz 3rd floor, were rude and unhelpful when we asked about where Nazionale 51 was but once we found it the staff was great.
Amazing staff (Rose), very good facilities (new furnitures + confortable) and pretty central location;
If any, would just mention the lift which is pretty old and a bit tight;
This is a guesthouse is on a upper floor of an old building not too far from the station, in a busy shopping area. Decoration is stylish and modern, the shower-room in particular is great. With only six rooms it is a quiet and peaceful place away from the crowds. Nice breakfast area although limited selection.
Overall almost perfect, but small details need attention. Some lightbulbs not working, kettle difficult to plug in, bright lights from a/c, security light, tv etc. Breakfast fruit only apples and oranges and not refreshed - several apples were bad.
The location was great. Rosie was most welcominv & couldnt have been more helpful. The day we arrived lift was out of action due to fire on ground floor & stefan was more than willing 2 carry my bag up 4 flights of stairs & it wasnt a light bag!!!!
Stylish, comfortable, very clean, nice breakfast, close to restaurants and transport links, quiet
125 steps up if you don't like lifts - exhausting!
Location great..could walk everywhere from here..even Vatican City.Felt safe.Accomodation stylish, quiet and spotlessly clean.Breakfast room lovely. Rosie (front of house) was friendly, welcoming, accomodating and great to talk to!Had a quirky little lift we named Edith as she was over 100 years old!Would highly recommend Nationale 51.
Breakfast, room size, cleanliness
Flights of stairs
The location is within walking distance to all the major attractions, nice simple breakfast, small size of the hotel - only 6-8 rooms which makes it more cosy and suits the BnB feel. The room is huge, recently renovated so very modern & clean - great value for money. The wifi is great too. Rosie is also very friendly and is there to answer any questions which you may have.
As others have mentioned, the lift is very old school (this is the case in most old European buildings - so it's not the hotel's fault). Check in is from 2-7pm - we arrived a tiny bit late (due to our flight delay) so there wasn't anyone to great us - luckily some other guests let us in and Rosie came back within 15-20 mins. If you check in within the times - there should be no problem. Just contact them beforehand. But overall it's a great place to stay.
Location is perfect, really central. Spacious room. Facility in the room is good - complimentary tea/coffee. WiFi is free and good connection.
The reception is manned few hours of the day. No concierge, but the receptionist is very helpful with info. Breakfast is v.basic. No hot food.
Rosi the manager, concierge, cook, cleaner etc was amazing very helpful and friendly. Always there to help. Lovely room, very clean.
Building work above meant it was a bit noisy and dusty. Scary lift, but it works!
Housed on the fourth and fifth floors of a centuries-old building along a bustling main shopping street, Nazionale 51 is located just 15 minutes' walk from the Termini train station. Sights such as Trajan's Market. Quirinale and the Colosseum are within a 15 minute walk. The tiny, musty ancient wooden elevator takes some getting used to but its charm grows on you after a while. The hotel itself, which is about a year old and has about 8 rooms, is elegantly chic, with spacious rooms and a nice breakfast spread — the custard croissants especially!!!
The "blink and you'll miss it" brass wall plaque marking Nazionale 51's entrance is so tiny and discreet that most first-time guests are almost unable to spot it. Especially since the same building bears a big, brightly lit sign for "Hotel St Moritz", a tired-looking hotel that's long overdue for an overhaul and located on the second and third storeys of the same building. I think the subway train line runs below the building, so you feel some slight vibrations when you're in bed.
Within walking distance of the railway station, Colosseum & Trevi Fountain. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Rosi was more than happy to suggest places to eat & give any other help/advice you may need.
The lift is a very old one that may cause some concerns but it's reliable & you do get used to it.
Clean, everything was good quality and beautifully decorated
Excellent location. Very clean and modern. Great breakfast. Fantastic and very friendly staff. Loved the B&B feel.
Nice hotel. Clean and nicely decorated rooms. All modern. Great breakfast . Rosie and Stefano are the best . I had issues and they were there to solve them. They are the best. I'll never forget your kindness . Thank you both. P.S. You'll love this hotel and location. Ciao.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, it is in a good central location, if you are reasonably fit you can walk to all of the sites. Continental breakfast buffet provided and it was plentiful. Staff really friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Overall excellent value for money. I would recommend this B&B and if we went to Rome again would try and stop there again.
Not a complaint just a word of advice. This B&B is on the top floor and as the building is very old the lift is small and will only take one person with luggage or two people without and if lift doors are not closed properly after use then the lift does not operate and you will have to climb the stairs so i would suggest it is not a good choice for those with mobility problems. Other than that a great place to stay.
Breakfast choice was Poor pressure in shower
Poor pressure in shower
Rosy is such lovely company and so helpful. The place is centrally located and very comfortable! The breakfast is basic but the cosiness of the b&b makes up for it. Definitely recommended!
