Very suggestive location right in the centre of Rome! Very nice big and quiet room with a great bathroom and the staff make you feel home
Location, location, location. Staff, especially Patrick at the front desk and Rosa at the bar, were absolutely the best. Very comfortable. Will go back again. Super bteakfast. Big kudos on this one.
Everything: a spacious room, pleasant employees very attractive lobby and one of the best locations in Rome
Central location Front desk staff friendly
Housekeeping would get annoyed if you slept in and would ignore do not disturb. Very loud throughout the night if on the front of the hotel facing the court yard. Wifi didn't connect once for us or another couple we travelled with.
Location , size of room ( room 212) about 70 m2
Air conditioning in room was poor , ground floor reception and lounge areas were poorly air conditioned if at all , hotels internet services were seemingly down early on our last morning , however, when I visited reception at about 6 am staff were not aware of this fact and showed little interest or concern
Addressed concerns immediately Great breakfast plus because we were there the first Sunday of the month a navy band entertained us in the piazza
They brought me a router to provide good WiFi, otherwise it was poor WiFi. I've never had a hotel bring a router to the room before-very pleased with that.
Low water pressure
It's the second time that I come to this hotel and I will come back again! I simply love it! The location is simply the best: next to the Parliament, so very safe and also, very central. Also, I like the service in the hotel (incl. slippers waiting for you near your bed when you come back to your room at the end of the day!) They really make you feel at home.
The bathroom was very clean but could be shinier (i.e they should make the shower head shine) But this is a very small detail: it was very clean and you even get a bathrobe.
The hotel location was excellent. The hotel itself was really lovely, clean & very comfortable. Staff were exceptionally polite & helpful. All in all a lovely stay.
The hairdrier was completely inadequate, however was replaced for me. A very small complaint indeed!!
The location of the hotel is superb. Its within a really short walking distance from all major tourist attractions. For example: Via del Corso (shopping area, busses) is 1 min; Pantheon is 3 mins; piazza venezia is 4 mins; piazza Navonna is 5 mins slow walking and spain steps is like 8 minutes walking. The room is pretty nice, a bit old wooden furniture but its typical for European style hotels, bathroom is all new and clean, safe inside the room, free no limit wifi, sound proof windows (you will need it because of the protest meetings on the square... Didnt bother us at all. The breakfast is ok to our standards, not something luxury but you have everything you need, several types of bread, cheeses, salami, eggs, yogurts, fresh self made juices, espresso mashine coffee, pastries.... And some more stuff... The staff was very polite end attentive, recommended us several places to visit and some good family run restaurants... So in general, we were very satisfied even though the price was a bit high for the season - around 200€ for the room per night. I think we would stay there again because of the superior location...
This was a very nice hotel. Clean, comfortable, very quiet at night even though it's on a major piazza adjacent to the House of Deputies. The staff was helpful and unobtrusive. Breakfast was large with many choices. Wi-fi worked great. The location -- you can't beat it! We walked everywhere -- to the Vatican, Trestavere, the Colosseum, and everywhere in between. It's minutes from the Pantheon and Bernini's Four River Fountain at Piazza Navone. One thing about this hotel that is "dangerous," is that it is under a two-minute walk to Giolitti, the place we found to have outstanding gelato. It was so good we didn't bother to try it anywhere else. We recommend this hotel absolutely.
We have nothing negative to say about our stay at Hotel Nazionale.
We only had one night at the Hotel Nazionale, which was unfortunate! Their staff was incredibly helpful to all of our requests. We had a suite, which was absolutely beautiful. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. The bathroom was luxurious, with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower with a rain head. There were several zones of air conditioning that worked well. They arranged for our taxi to the airport the morning we left and would have arranged for one from the train station, if we had thought to ask (which would have avoided getting cheated by the taxi driver we found on our own). Overall, I can't say enough good things about this hotel and recommend it highly.
The thoroughly friendly staff. The central but secluded location which offers easy access to all the great cites but also allows a quiet night's sleep. This hotel is easy and relaxed while also being efficient and helpful.
What I found homely some may feel warrants some upgrading. I haven't got a bad word!
First, the location is great. The room was large enough for three adults with no crowding. My favorite part of breakfast was the espresso machine and a juicer. The staff were friendly and helpful. And I was very thankful for air-conditioning. Its a very old building and decorated as such.
This hotel, right next to Parliament was good, excellent for walking Rome from its front door. Yes more expensive but we lived Rome and had no transfer costs. With hardly no traffic in the square it offered excellent peace for sleeping which in Rome is not always the case. If we went again to Rome we would most certainly return to Hotel Nazionale
Really nothing of any relevance. Perhaps breakfast could have nbeen more English, though not a issue and the lifts are small and slow but its that sort of building. To be honest we could not fault the hotel, its location or staff
Toilet made a terrible noise after flushing for 15 seconds!
Location, staff very helpful, quiet, clean, excellent breakfasts
Great location close to the Pantheon, easy walk to the Coliseum. Friendly, helpful staff. We had a spacious, beautiful room at a reasonable price. Included breakfast was quite good. Room was very clean and king bed was very comfortable
There was nothing to complain about. Very good hotel.
very close proximity to all the tourist locations for sight seeing. Its a great spot and within walking distance to central rome for tourists. Just around the corner from great restaurants and ice cream shops. Would stay there again - Also Reasonably priced . GREAT
Location, staff, nice big room, all great
Rates were quite high, but it is Rome!
Staff were very helpful. Major attractions within walking distance.
No coffee in room, not easily available before breakfast, especially if there were no American Airlines crew there for the night.
Beautiful hotel and position. Mauro is a top doorman and a lovely man, was my 50th birthday, Rome is breathtakingly beautiful!
Location, spotless rooms, tasty breakfast, fast wifi, staff who seem to generally care about cudtomers
We loved the delicious breakfast buffet! It was perfect for our hungry family, and was included. I liked the large rooms, and bathrooms with marble tubs. The location is central, and we could walk to the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain (which was being restored.)
