Staff serving breakfast were very friendly and efficient, location of the hotel very convenient with a short walk to monuments. Room very small, small window with no outlook so it felt as if you were in a basement, all channels on tv were local - satellite tv not provided.

The proximity to ancient Roman sites was excellent. The morning and daytime staff were excellent and very polite. The night shift hotel staff were very rude and hassled me about visitors who were not spending the night. It was incredibly rude to imply that I was sneaking people in to my 20 sq metre room with a twin bed to spend the night. Because of the night staff, I do not recommend this hotel.

Not even close to worth what I paid. "Free Wi-Fi" meant only in the lobby which was down the street from my room. "Hotel Transport" meant when I asked the person at the desk how I can get the the airport he told me to look up the train schedule and find a bus. Not only was he not helpful he couldn't even provide information. I know it's Europe and wasn't expecting the luxury of American hotels but there was no way to justify what they were charging for a tiny, awkward room with no windows and no amenities.

The location. The hotel is right by the Forum. The breakfast was very poor - we went out one day. The produce was ok but the portions very small. The bathroom is also very small.

This is a charming small family hotel which is immediately adjacent to the Trajan market and pretty close to the Forum and the Coloseum. So ideal for tourists particularly those with a serious interet in archaeology - as three of my colleagues had. There are some steep marble stairs - but there is a lift.

The location was the best part about staying at Hotel Nerva. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were even smaller than we thought they were going to be and it had an impossibly small shower. Also the air conditioning doesn't actually work until a certain time of year.

The location is fantastic, situated right in the centre of the old Roman ruins with the Colosseum just around the corner. Everything is in walking distance, a selection of lovely resturants and up on the main street behind the hotel, some very nice shops. It is about ten mins in taxi from Termini, about 25 walking, but is probably difficult to find on arrival as it is on a narrow side street. The price is fantastic to be so centrally located. Rooms are warm. As we were on the ground floor was only 2 rooms on our corridor, so no night time noise. I read reviews where people complained the shower was very small, this was certainly not the case, fine warm shower with plenty of towels and room was cleaned every day. Mini bar in room is handy. Rooms are very small, the size of just enough walking space around the bed. The floor is old tiles,so is cold to walk around the room barefoot. The bed is a hard and not that comfortable. On the ground floor rooms, there is a door that led out to a patio which was shared with the room next door and backed onto apartments, which made me slightly nervous. Being on the ground floor you are right next to the breakfast room so from 6 30am on you can hear the clatter of plates etc. On our arrival we were not even informed that this breakfast was available. There is no lobby and there is no restaurant in the hotel. Checkout is 10.30am, very early. There is keys and not swipe card used to open doors. There are no English channels on the TV.

The staff were friendly, the hotel was near to everything. The road outside the window was busy and noisy. There was no pavement on the road so to reach anywhere was a bit worrying expecially as the road was rather busy.

The excellent position in the heart of ancient Rome The kindness and the availability of personel I'm satisfied of your Hotel Maybe at breakfast you can offer more fruits, I think the fruits are something very typical for Italian menu, better than ham, cheese, eggs...

I and my boyfriend, we liked the location of Hotel Nerva. Also the Hotel staff were very kind and always smiling. There is not really an internet, but it is (wifi is only in lobby). No parking, but it is (parking outside the building, not always could be found).

Hotel Nerva has a great staff so willing to assist in many ways. I loved the small personnel hotel. Just a side note ask for a room off the street, such a small street with lots of treffic. Also be prepared for a tiny shower, it's doable. Location is great, and they make a really good cappucino. We will stay there again.

The staff was wonderful -- helpful, friendly, efficient. The location was ideal for us - close to Colosseum, Forum, and Metro transport. The hotel's street was quaint and fun to walk on at night while on our way looking for restaurants. The area had good restaurants, gelato shops, and other services in a safe environment. Room size and bed were typical if not a little larger than average European hotel accommodations. Split-level bath/shower was difficult to stand in and water temperature hard to adjust. My wife found the pillows much to hard for comfort. Closet space was too small for us. Safe was too small to fit my small Netbook or slr camera.

Location, ease to get around, quiet, small, friendly, good value The breakfast is ok, but it is never great in Italian hotels we found. The shower is so small you would not want to be a larger sized person - you would not fit in the shower!

Very friendly helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and excellently located for anyone interested in ancient Rome.Easy access to the metro. Felt welcome and completely at home and safe. Room quiet despite being so near to via Imperiale. Dining room tiny and therefore the tables too. Dining room also used by guests as a sitting room at other times of the day.

A simply excellent hotel that offers very friendly service, great breakfasts, comfortable rooms, wifi in the lobby, all at a very good tariff and wonderfully located near the essential tourist sites and public transportation. Nothing at all, will be staying at the Nerva again!

Fantastic location right beside the Roman Forum and Collosseum. You could not ask for a better location to explore the many sights of Rome. The hotel itself was really good value for money. We booked a family room for 4 and the room was clean and tidy. Nice continental buffet breakfast served each morning and staff really helpful. In addition, carparking available on the street outside the hotel, we had a hire car which we were able to park at the hotel for the duration of our stay. An excellent choice of hotel for us in Rome.
