Hotel Gennarino is set in an elegant Liberty villa of the early 20th century. The hotel is located right in front of the beach establishments, by the Naval Academy.

It is 5 stars hotel, with pretty much everything you can think of. We had very nice room with sea view and balcony. Breakfast is very good. It's not very close to old town, but with few quite nice restaurants around. Free parking.
Sometimes in the reception was only one person, with large hotel as this, that meant waiting for quite some time. WiFi - basic, is free, but exceptionally slow, especially on evenings when people use it.
Nice Big rooms. Good location to stay when you have à rental car.
Breakfast crew starts to cleanup at 10:15 while we were told That breakfast was intil 11:00 Great breakfast tho with à lot of choices.
The HOTEL itself.
Not many other restaurants within walking distance.
no baggage rack in the room. Difficulties to find the stairs
Great 5 star Hotel directly on the waterfront port town of livorno. Excelent rooms with verylarge beds. Loads of parking on the hotel grounds. Huge breakfast buffet was great Only 5 minutes walk to the center of town. Fab swimingpool on the roof with view of the sea.
wifi - worse than dail-up, you have to pay for normal wifi connection, this they should make free. coffee machine - after making every 5 cups the thing needed 480 seconds to warm the water up again, FAIL
Breakfast was really good.
We were asked whether we would like to upgrade to a balcony. We accepted but couldn't use it. No chairs. They refunded our surcharge. the Bath ran brown water for 20 mins so they upgraded us to The Presidential suit but the bath ran a similar dirty brown water so we returned to our original romm which had been cleaned in our absence. What was to have been a restful afternoon was turmoil. Dinner on teh Terrace was very disappointing. They made a reduction on our bill but that wasn't the point. It all could have been so good. A restful luxury stay simply became a bad experience.
Location, cleanliness, breakfast, staff
Some mold in the shower, toilet paper NFL towel holder loose. Should not happen at such a place.
Great location (only 15 min walk into town or Little Venice). Wonderful view of the sea. Restaurant superb. Choice of sunbeds, with complimentary towels, lovely clean pool. Excellent spacious room & facilities. Staff very friendly, welcoming & always helpful.
Coffee machine at breakfast!! Had to queue & machine ran out of milk or coffee every morning! Disappointing for a 5* hotel.
The staff were very helpful and the room was nice but the star attraction of this hotel was the rooftop swimming pool with built in Jacuzzi.
The bar was a bit pricy but worth it as a treat.
Nice bit of elegance
Problem with plumbing but fixed straight away
Grand palazzo is the best hotel I've ever been in Livorno.. I'm speechless with this hotel.. I love the sundowner in the rooftop which is you will find there bar and restaurant..
Very pleasant hotel in an impressive spacious well-kept building, great room with a great bathroom, wonderful sea views, very firendly, helpful and efficient personnel, dinner at the top-floor restaurant was delicious, very nice roof terrace, convenient parking.
The pool was a bit of a disappointment - it looks very stylish, but is in fact a kiddie-pool - only a few metres across and not more than 1.5 metres deep. So it's more of a pretty accessory for when you are reading or having a drink on the roof terrace. But overall it's Livorno as a destination that was a let-down; the hotel itself was very pleasant, it would've been great in a different coastal city.
A spectacular building in a good location. Bedroom very large and beautifully appointed, with 2 bathrooms and both walk in shower and bath....wow! All public spaces fabulous, with roof top pool being of particular note. Staff very good. Breakfast was plentiful and of a very high standard with excellent variety. A really luxurious experience!
Minor gripes - They need an extra coffee machine for breakfast as you nearly always ended up waiting a couple of minutes. Pool could do with heating as it is a touch cold.....still spent time in it!
This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. We came for our honeymoon and found a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room on arrival. The bed was amazing and the view unrivaled. The bathroom was utter luxury. The rooftop bar & restaurant, manned by our favorite bartender Nicola, completed the perfection of our stay. We had sea bass for dinner there and more than a little wine. Wonderful staff and accommodations. We loved it.
The pool was too cold to swim in. Would have been nice if it was heated.
Nicely restaurated old building. Breakfast was very good, but...
A lot of black mold in the shower cabin between the marmor plates. In the breakfast lot of small flies were s(h)itting on the fresh prepared fruits.
We were there for only one night and found everything to our satisfaction.
Beautiful building inside and out. Friendly and efficient staff. Amazing value for money.Should be rated at least 4 star. Great location.
Having to leave!
Breakfast spread was good, together with the view of the sea in the morning. Bed was comfortable.
Staff at reception was not helpful.
THE WHOLE THREE DAYS WERE JUST WHAT WE NEEDED THE VIEW ,BEDS ,POOL AREA AND STAFF WERE ALL EXCELLENT,GREAT SELECTION FOR BREAKFAST
WE FOUND THE RESTAURANT FOOD WAS GOOD QUALITY BUT LACKED QUANTITY
The room was big, nice and comfortable! The veiw at the roof was beautiful!
The staff was not helpfull or friendly, especially not the restaurant staff. Our redwine was served cold! We upgrade us to a room with the seaveiw but the window was extremly small if you compare it to the other rooms. The staff in the reception told us the wrong time for the breakfast so we missed it. This hotel does'nt give you a five star feeling!!!
24/7 check in/out. Building with grandeur. Breakfast is excellent. Close to ferry. Nice for a one night stay before/after taking the ferry to/from Corsica or Sardegna.
No bedside table, lights not working properly, paint coming of wall and ceiling, pool with size of bathtub, one of the waiters at restaurant not liking his job. Clearly not a 5 star hotel. Livorno is a boring city.
The location is good, the room was good, the sundexk on the top was nice. Parking on-site.
Service, breakfast was very poor, no concierge, no porter, no information, the food was terrible. It's not a 5 star hotel - maximum 3 stars.
Nice Design Nice Decor Generally good service Good parking faciliteis
Breakfast choice was average
Clean, renovated, great view, good restaurant.
A/C temperature in room minimum limited to 20 C made sleeping warmer than we prefer. Fitness center adequate but sweltering hot. Appears that the energy police are hard at work.
