NH Porta Rossa    

The location was perfect. Staff was very helpful and recommendations made regarding restaurants etc were very good. I would definitely return.

we been four couples. all the rooms had a havy small of putrefaction. staff was very poor. we took out this hotel from our list

Hotel Porta Rossa has a great location, very beautifull rooms with wooden floors and breakfast for different tastes- what could be better?! I would like to say many thanks to all the Team of nh Porta Rossa. They helped me to have a great vacations in Florence

We're on our honeymoon and we're lucky the hotel was overbooked so we were upgraded to a junior suite. - beautifully designed spacious room - excellent location at the heart of the historic area (within 10-15 min of everything) - knowledgeable friendly reception staff - hotel decor was nice combo of funky and neo-classic - great restaurant a few footsteps away (La Bussola). Best lasagnia we ever ate

Nothing major. Just that, as i also noticed in other 4 star Italian hotels, it's a bit understaffed. I requested a couple of utensils and plates around 10pm and was surprised that the receptionist asked me to come down to receive them as she was alone and had no one to deliver them

The hotel couldn't be in a better location to access everything Florence has to offer. With Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton etc on your door step you will be in designer heaven! Take flat shoes as you will do a lot of walking! You will spend very little on travel so you'll have lots more to spend shopping! :) The hotel is beautiful and feels very luxurious, the staff are friendly and welcoming and happy to help. Highly recommended for stays in Florence.

NH Porta Rossa is in the excellent location, right in heart of the beautiful city of Florence, in pedestrian area, so everything is close. As it is located in palazzo, interiors ( aside from furniture) are beautiful, and there are perfect florentine roofs view from the top floor rooms. All good things you can expect from respectable hotel chain plus Florence magic.

Well, there were two things I can name, however they do not really impact on quality of stay. I have read in one of the reviews before that someone didn't like at all how unsuitably for palazzo hotel was furnished. And when there I unserstood why :). Interiors themselves are done very well, however famous wave shaped plastic chairs in the rooms together wtih plastic table look very cheap and out of place in the grandeur rooms with high ceilings. It is not as much noticeable in top floor rooms as they are smaller, but still... However, that is minor and definetely not spoiling a stay much, aside of wishing better taste to decorator. And second - free wi fi is very slow, and paid connecton ( 9 EUR per day ) was workable but not fast. As my husband needed to do some work it frustrated him a lot, though it could be a blessing if you try to stay away from being glued to computer in hotel. :)

Very friendly staff, very nice room (we were in a superior room which had a huge bed. Very good breakfast. But most important of all, it is smack bang in the centre of the City

Everything was excellent! Very friendly staff, ideal location, perfect condition of the room and furniture, bathroom with new equipment. Definetly it will be top of the list next time we'll stay in Florence.

The only minor issue is if you go to the hotel by car. The city center is closed for non-residents, so I kindly advise to clear that question with the hotel staff so they can prepare garage for you with the entrance pass.

Wifi was rather slow. Bit I guess that's an Italian problem.

Laurent, the Reception manager, was fantastic; very helpful, polite & excellent customer service. Room was perfectly cleaned everyday, & very comfortable. Location was in the heart of the city (florence).

Wi-fi/Internet was a big problem. Very slow or did not work.

One of the best hotels ı have stayed since a long time.... The location is superb... The hotel is walking distance to many attractions and restaurants and shopping activities. If you have a car you can always part at the nearby square and they take good care of the car. (26 eur per day for car parking) The room we stayed was a delux room on the second floor with the street view... Very spacious and very delightful! The bathroom was excellent! We have been upgraded from a superior room to a delux room without any extra costs and that was a great gesture from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious! You could find everything from croissants to fresh fruit juice - from different types of cheese to othher pastry... The hotel was very clean and the rooms have been visited by house keeping everyday... the staff at the hotel (reception and concierge both together) is SUPERB! All the ladies helping at the reception are multi lingual and they have great recommendations about where to eat - how to get there etc.

I only can speak very higlhy of the N.H. Porta Rossa in Florence, Italy where I have very recently spent three nights as a solo traveler. The staff is top notch: I have had a medical issue, the staff has been extremely supportive and helpful. Even as a traveler, they will go over board so you'll enjoy the most of your visit in Florence. Room was spotless, breakfast more than abundant, perfect location of the hotel. I would strongly recommend the N.H. Porta Rossa to any traveler going to Florence, personally I would not hesitate to book again at the Porta Rossa. Anne ( from Ottawa, Canada)
