Best Western Hotel Ala is in a quiet square, 130 ft from Santa Maria del Giglio vaporetto stop and just over a quarter mile from Saint Mark's Square.
Score from 1308 reviews Very good
property was clean and close proximity to everything the staff were extremely helpful
the let down was no elevator which made it hard with heavy luggage, the shower was extremely small
the hotel location is great. Staffs are friendly.
Kept my luggage, clean, nice smell in the rooms, decoration is nice, breakfast was okay. Very close to Rialto ferry station and the Rialto Bridge
Too Narrow staircase, no elevator
Poor breakfast/small rooms/no lift
Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was amazing so much variety. It is a perfect place to stay for a short trip to Venice as you are so close to everything! Would definitely stay here again. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who loves Venice! Ciao
Great base from which to get lost in the winding maze of Venice. Great old Venetian feel from building and decor. Genuine charm and service with smile from friendly staff.
Nothing at all to complain about
When in venice,Noemi hôtel is thé place to be. everything in this hôtel was perfect.
Very friendly and helpful staff, just 1 minute away from San Marco Square, very clean, rich italian breakfast (the girl that brought the coffee was very prompt and nice), the room was very warm, the wi-fi connection was ok.
Staff, Decoration, Location
Hotel has no elevator.
The location is excellent. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The Standard room was small (normal for Venice), comfortable, well decorated. Breakfast was pretty good, but nothing spectacular.
The only issue was the shower which is the smallest I have ever seen. Getting in and out of it would be impossible for a larger person. The restaurant next door is OK, but very over priced. We had much better quality and value for money in every other place we ate.
The hotel is beautifully decorated with gilt furniture and damask covered walls throughout, good bathroom and nice continental breakfast. Find Bravin ice cream shop in St Marks Square -go down the lane at the side, it is only a minutes walk. So handy
Helpfull staff , close to the main square San marco , easy to access from the train station or the airport
There was no window in the room, and no elevator
Vincent from the front desk was very friendly and loving.. the room was very cozy and authentic.
There was no lift.
+ perfect location + near an organic store + open 24/24 facility + staff
- very noisy - awful breakfast and breakfast service (milk with a strong sardine smell !!!) - no nice view - strong solvent smells after works inside the room - no bath
The room was cleaned and organised everyday. Excellent location 2 mins away from piazza san marco. The room is decorated like an old palace and in particular liked the little xmas tree :) very comfortable and warm and airy with three windows.
My partner and I stayed here for three nights in their economy room at the end of November and it was amazing. A stones throw from San Marco Piazza the hotel is a quaint wee place decorated in traditional Venetian style. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was excellent with a lovely shower. The view was non existent but in a built up place like Venice that's no surprise and we weren't there to stay in our hotel room. Hotel offered breakfast included in the price. Continental with a good range. A couple of other guests who were there at the same time as us complained about the lack of cooked breakfast as the hotel does not provide one but the hotel was a traditional family run Italian hotel not some American chain hotel. When in Rome I believe or rather when in Venice. The hotel didn't do lunch & dinner but a restaurant of the same name as the hotel is attached downstairs. The owner is more than happy however to recommend places to eat to you. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful.
It was roasting but we just asked for the heating to be adjusted.
Venice was amazing hotel was well position for st marks square
Staff was great! Breakfast was very good. Location was simply perfect. You were practicaly in the middle of all that was going on in Venice. We stayed only one night and everyhting was great!
The location is fantastic, a stones throw to St. Mark's Square and very close to Rialto Bridge. staff were excellent, it was very clean and comfortable.
Staff are very helpful especially jen and pam.
Location was a minute to the plaza and was close to most things especially where the gondolas were. Continental breakfast was great lots of options
The air conditioning didn't work even when we had one of the workers try to fix it. Also the bed was very uncomfortable
owner is very charming and kind. all of the staffs are very cheerful. furniture is very luxurious maintenance is good you could relax there.
the location was perfect. the room was small but cozy.
Breakfast was very good, but not many vegetarian options.
Proximity to prime locations. Red was extremely helpful and kind.
VERY LOUD people downstairs and in street as well as early am.
Location, breakfast is very poor .
