Just a quarter mile from the Vatican, this hotel features a roof terrace with views of St. Peter’s Basilica. Rooms offer free Wi-Fi and come in a classic style with stuccoes, carpets and tapestries.

One of the highlights of the luxurious Atlante Star Hotel has to be its rooftop restaurant where you can enjoy spectacular views of St. Peter’s Basilica while you eat.

Location great for Vatican. staff very obliging & helpful.
Restaurant was closed on the Saturday night (10 jan) No tea/coffee making facilities in bedroom.
The staff at the restaurants and the receptionists were helpful
The WiFi reception has to be improved. We couldn't connect when we are in the room.
Central heating not working
hotel has good location, friendly staff, good rate
we didn't have internet in our room, only at public area, buffet breakfast was very simple, shower in our room was broken as well as shower cabin, mini bar was empty
Very near Vatican and quiet neighborhood Breakfast spread was decent.
Badly needs renovation. Only one small very old lift that wasn't working all the time. We had to use the stairs 90%of the time. In-room 10" tube TV from the 70's and maybe 2 channels if you're lucky to get any. Fridge is empty and doesn't work, no bottled water to make up for it. Safe is so tiny I could only put my passport/wallet in it. Forget about the camera and ipad. Bathtub was stained, shower not working properly. You need to let it run 20 mins before hot water comes out. The sink had no stopper so I was staring down the drain pipe every time I used it.In-room Wifi almost non-existent: most people had to go down to the reception to access wifi. And yes, getting to the breakfast room was a complicated route up one stairwell and down another one at the other end. You'd need someone to guide you. They should consider refurbishing it or cutting price to half because that's what it was worth to me.
The only positive thing in this hotel is the dinner food and the people who work at the restaurant. The restaurant Manager is an old great guy.
I don't know how this hotel is ranked with 4 stars. 1- The room was very dirty. We were not able to sleep. The carpet is never washed I think. The shower is disgusting. 2- The receptionist is not polite and couldn't speak english. 3- The distance the hotel mentioned to the Vatican is not true. it is a 30 minutes walk 4- The wifi is very slow and they have an old system that you need to login with a code once your mobile sleep and you go out and in again. 5- The breakfest is very poor. Only sweets. 6- You will hear from your room everything that is happening in the next room. just imagine how much romantic to hear every single morning all sounds coming from the other guest bathroom.
The location was good, and we had a lovely view from the small outside balcony, great for relaxing after a long day.
No tourist information in reception only a free map.
Guadeloupe the cuban bar-tender
Everything form the room (poorly and outdated furniture) to the very unpleasant, rude, obnoxious staff especially at the reception
Location close to vatican museum.. Close to cipro metro station.. Breakfast was great
Comfortable bed and room. It was clean and quiet
It was not a five minute walk to Vatican. It was more like 10 min to the Vatican museum but 20-30 to St. Peter's square. Not an easy wAlk for older visitors. Also to get to any attractions like colesium you really needed to take taxi or walk 20 min to metro. No close by tour bus stops. Restaurant at hotel not easy to find and never open when we wanted to eat
-we initially got a bad room. Ac didnt work. But claudia, the room service manager was so polite & helpful. Got us into a great room immediately. -great location. -amazing buffet breakfast. Assortment of croissants. Sweet breads. Egg & sausage. Cold meats. Coffee tea juice & hot chocolate. -Good wifi -easy to find
-reception staff could be better and more alert. -dinner at the hotel restaurant is dreadful. -although close by to the vatican sites, not a single good italian restaurant in the area.would only recommend the chinese restaurant near the hotel. -Not a 4 star. More like a 3 star. -took a triple room but too small. -asked for a room with a bathtub. But its a jacuzzi and too high for my elderly mum to climb into. Was a nightmare for her. -room could be cleaner and have better view.
+frıendlıness of staff +taxı drıvers fınd easıly thıs locatıon +there ıs a chınese restaurant just ınfront of the hotel so you can buy food or any drınks even at late hours.
the hotel was far away from metro station and there was only one 492 numbered bus whıch comes from cıty centre to thıs area and thıs bus just doesnt show up easıly even you waıt for 2 hours at the bus stop:) ın the nıghts the hot water was nearly off and ıt was a joy of moment the rare tımes that we can fınd hot water to take shower ın the nıght:) there was no clock on any wall of the hotel ıncludıng receptıon.ı havent expected to know tokyo tıme just ıtalıan tıme was ok for me to see what tıme ıt ıs.
we had a poorly wifi system, the staff people were not able so solve the issues and when needed were not open to help
location were one of the worse things and staff to able to help
Walking distance to Vatican museum and Peters square Rich breakfast buffet Close to metro 24h supermarket/pharmacy next to the hotel
Smell of cigarette smoke in the room
It is a good location and nice breakfast buffet selection.
Our legs are covered with bed bug bites and bed is hard as a rock.
liked the fact that there was some limited access to wifi location was excellent staff very helpful
didnt like the fact the wifi was only available in some rooms and not my room decor needed a bit updating no public balcony or shared outdoor area
Location, 7 min walk from Vatican museums entrance. Breakfast is good, many species of dishes. Staff is kindly and qualified. Near metro station - 7 min walk
The hotel is quite old and required for repair. Wi fi signal is very weak in the room. There are only two tv channels and remote control was broken.
Perfect location, walking distance to metro station etc. Good value for money.
Location, very clean, breakfast was amazing, staff could not have been better.
Air conditioning not very cold.
The breakfast was good.
The solution to the problem with the aircondition was not a 4 star hotel worthy. In fact, the hotel should only be classified as a 3 star hotel.
Clean, Good Food, Distance to the center, Distance to Subway Station,
Low Wi-fi signal on upper floors, Mandatory City Tax to pay in hotel (no info on Booking.com, it cost me 40EUR for 1 week)
Metro is close by and great gelatto shop across the street.
Wood door frame was broken but they refused to give me another room. Run down hotel. Reception staff arrogant (all shifts). Satellite TV consisted of 2 channels. Bathtub was disgusting. Fridge barely cooled. They need to NOT advertise they have WiFi because is was USELESS! They must be sharing someone else's. The coffee at breakfast is DISGUSTING!!
The hotel is very convenient for the Vatican and the Vatican Museums. The hop on hop off tourist buses have a stop reasonably close, and there are two metro stations nearby, so the rest of the city is very easy to get to. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff very helpful and pleasant.
We have no negative comments at all about the hotel, it was very comfortable.
So close to St Peters within a 15 minute walk. Good places to eat close by and good value.
