Novecento is esthetic, with nice proportions and styling, and near to the center of town! The persons who took care of us were very nice and cheerful! The bed is e-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t and there is also a lovely garden! Even the special elevator had his charm! It was really a pleasure to be at this hotel! Maybe a better coffe at the breakfast?

Clean, good modern design - we had room 203 which is a large, street facing room on the first floor. It has a solid, wooden floor which was nicer on bare feet than the tiled floor we've had elsewhere on our trip. Extremely warm and cosy even in a cold February. Good location, buffet breakfast and coffee.

Friendly staff, a short stroll from the Leaning Tower. It is close to the university, so very lively by day (totally silent by night) Lots of interesting and diverse restaurants nearby. The via Roma opens on to the Piazza die Miracoli ( leaning tower) so extremely convenient. Overall, a lovely stay in an excellent hotel close to a buzzing area

The friendliness of the staff and the their willingness to offer infromation and help; the location was superb Ground floor room needs either a net or muslin curtain over the window as any one in the garden - nice feature - has a clear view directly into the room

The hotel was in a good location just along the road from the leaning tower etc. The room was nicely decorated, as were the public areas of the hotel. Disappointed in the neglected garden area. With a bit of care and attention it could have been lovely. We were considering booking for breakfast but when we went to have a look at the room, there was a smell of cigarettes which put us off.

The staff did not speak much English, but we don't really care, and they made every effort to help with questions and small favors. Communication was no problem. Short walk to the leaning tower, so we were immediately into our tour of the city within minutes of leaving the hotel.

We did not like the hotel We had booked 3 nights but stayed only 1 night. The first room we got smelled very much of insect spray and we refused to occupy it.The second smelled a lot from the furniture (leather). Complaints had come from several clients said the receptionist. All other rooms would have the same smell, again according to the receptionist. We are not especially sensitive to smells but this was clearly unacceptable.

The italian flair and design of this small family run hotel in Pisa. The staff, daughter, mum and dad, were always very helpful and friendly. An early check-in was no problem, good communication in advance per email..and good suggestions of restaurants in pisa. We stayed at Novecento for 3 nights and felt very warmly welcome. In case we liked to stay out late, the father even offered us a key for the main entrance of the hotel and just asked us to close up securely. Also extras as an international plug were provided and borrowed kindly. So if you like to enjoy the flair of a nicely decorated italian family run hotel with a lovely little garden in the backyard... Novecento is a very good choice! The location is very central to discover Pisa and the bus stop to the main train station and the airport is very close by as well. Perfect for a day trip to Florence! ;) The breakfast was with 8 Euro per Person highly overrated! The best were the yummy juices but apart from that it was the exact same selection of bread, toast, ham, cheese (in small packages) and the same small selection of pastries every day. We accidentally overlooked that the breakfast wasn´t included in our booking price...so we ate there every morning and had to pay 48 Euro extra at the check-out... :( So if I knew we had the choice of rather paying the breakfast at the hotel or not... We definitively would have eaten somewhere else in Pisa... There are so many cafes and small restaurants that offer pancakes, warm panini etc.! It would have been nice to have some warm eggs in the morning or a change of selections once in a while. So conclusively the breakfast was ok, but a bit boring...and definitively not worth 8 Euros per person! And one last thing if u r uncomfortable with mosquitos (as I am)...our room was in an annexe within the little garden...it was really nice...but we had to kill mosquitos and I felt a bit uncomfortable with the other dead mosquito spots on the wall and the -in need of renovation corner- in the bathroom... So even if the room was nice...i felt only 70% comfortable because I was scared of any insects..o:) but they had those electric plugs against mosquitos so I only got bitten ones! ;) ...the floor was tiled as well...so in April I felt cold walking around without shoes! But maybe this is all a part of the very mediterranean flair... ;)
