Kitchen is dirty and old, furnitures are old and not enough clean
really kind people and good location
Francesco very helpful, apartment was ideal for our needs as a family of 5. Not sure you will find better so close to all amenities.
No major issues.
Location, Location, Staff
The bathroom shower floods back onto the carpet making the room mouldy and musty. Supposedly the bathrooms will be fixed in November but the room should not have been rented in that condition. The actual room is not the one in the photo.
Novella House was clean and comfortable with all facilities available. A good range of food for breakfast and a kettle, tea and coffee in the room. Francesco was welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Street noise on one night.
We had so much space in this hotel. We had a separate room from the children which was great when they went to bed…because we did not have to! It was a easy walk from the train station and the major tourist attractions…we would not stay anywhere else!
Nothing! This was a great experience.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. The young man in charge was very helpful in getting our bags in and out. Great value for a very reasonable price.
Traditional style of the room Spaciousness Cleanliness Self-help breakfast and hot drinks Close to station and landmarks
Thanks so much to Francesco: we found out in the morning that our mid-day flight was cancelled and we are electronically challenge and without cell phone. He helped us so much, calling the airline company, finding us an hotel for that night. We would have been in big trouble without him.
Able to have access to our room when we arrived at 12:30 pm. Nice clean large bathroom. Good internet access. Good location close to train station and sights of central Florence. Good local restaurant just down the street. Francesco was very good about answering my emails and providing directions.
Our room was on the lower level and quite dark with only one window that was too high up to look out. We booked a standard room but would have paid more for a room on a higher floor if we had known about this.
For the modest price I was astonished at how beautiful and well-furnished the suite was. The location is ideal for walking to all the important sites of Firenze. Francesco was professional, courteous, helpful and friendly.
Our room was on the ground floor and occasionally during the night we were disturbed by noise from people on the street.
Comfortable en suite double room with tea, coffee and pastries for breakfast included. Beautiful painted ceiling in our room, comfortable bed with good quality sheets and towels. Parking available nearby for 20 euros for 24 hours. Polite, helpful and welcoming concierge who spoke perfect English and looked after our bags all day after we'd checked out. Would definitely go back and recommend.
About 200 TV chanbels but all Italian. BBC for news would have been nice.
Everything. Location was excellent and was located in old area of Florence
Location near the old city, train and bus systems was great. Frescoes on the ceiling are cool. First visitors to Europe may not notice the details we expected and found wanting.
Tired feeling of property. Throw cover over old sofa. A coat of paint and a cleaning of the carpets would help a lot. Amenities offered - bottled water - was not provided, instant coffee not replenished. (3 day stay). Very challenging to keep shower from leaking onto the floor.
The location was great - very close to the railway station and within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see. A clean, spacious room. The owner couldn't have been more accommodating and bent over backwards to see we had everything we needed, including "babysitting" the taxi company and providing free food that wasn't in the booked deal. All in all, a great experience.
This apartment was very easy to find and only a short walk from the railway station. It is also very close to all of the important sights. The baroque furnishings are a sight to see, especially the ceilings. The apartment was well appointed, spacious, clean and comfortable. The host was very helpful indeed and went out of his way to look after our luggage both before check-in and after check-out.
We had a ground floor front apartment. Our sleep was disturbed by loud noises in the street throughout a lot of the night
We were provided with everything we need for a nice stay. The room was cosy, looking at the beautiful back yard garden, the bed was extremely comfortable (I wish we had one like it). The hosts were really polite and helpful, thank you!
Fun staff, feels like family Great Amenities - Sitting room Great location - close walk to everything and very close to the train station
Night was a bit loud, even on week days. Might be a concert venue or club near by
Average decor, a bit run down, looks better in pictures
very close to the station and the room was very big. There is no breakfast but everyday they placed some juice, coffee, marmalet and some other food in the room. to sum up no breakfast but breakfast incredients are free :)
Staff was very helpful Easy access to all areas Close to the train stAtion
Good location for station and all sights - everything in walking distance. Staff very sweet + helpful. Biggest room we've had in Italy. Lovely restaurant on the next corner.
The management was helpful and complementary tea and coffee was a good idea.
We didn't feel safe when comming and going from the hotel at night. Presentation needs a bit of help
We absolutely loved this room, it's decor, ceiling, furniture, spaciousness, the authenticity, and also to mention the lovely lady who took care of us! It's a throw-stone to the city centre, easy accessible by car, although the parking is separate price. Just Loved it!
It was a bit noisy; the windows even closed with the shutters didn't block the noise from the street. The advertised parking was advertised as if it was included in the price, but it wasn'T. 2 nights parking comes to additional eur45
Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. We felt hospitality and nice atmosphere. Room was clean and cosy despite the fact that building is rather old (but when you want to live near the city center it's the only option). Prices are fare and service is really excellent. There is also a very good trattoria right the corner. Just 5 minutes walk to Duomo (Cathedral) and other beautiful places of Florence. We enjoied our stay.
Wifi connection was quite poor as well as a cellphone signal. And if you want to leave the window opened during the night you will hear noises especially on weekend, but it's ok - there is a city center nearby and people are quite noisy there.
