Hotel Plaza is in the heart of Salerno, right across from the train station, and close to the bus terminal and the pretty seafront promenade. A breakfast buffet is included in the room price.
Score from 489 reviews Very good
Location-good if you have a car. Staff: very polite and efficient.
Price of breakfast is to high
Breakfast was really Good!
the location was little bit far from the center.
dinner in restaurant: few choice and expensive
Position for business is perfect. Position for visit center of the city is not good
The pizza place across the road.
Staff was rude. Sauna area closed very early. Situated far from the city. Cleaning staff locked themselves in twice before checkout time. Restaurant closed most of the day.
The room was very clean the stuff were very pleasant, great wifi in the room .GREAT HOTEL
The location of the hotel is a bit problematic but other then that great hotel
Very nice breakfasts comfortable room with great view and very good facilities for children
STAFF Scruffy area around hotel!!!
The parking lot for the car. clean.
very far from center city. Hard transportation. Taxi takes money also for coming. the bathroom very small, water splits all over from the tub. Most of the stuff are cold, not helping. They waked us up at 6 oclock, instead of 8, and didn't even apologize for it. Not so good food in the restaurant.
easy to reach, parking , baggage carts in the parking lot excellent breakfast staff helpfull
very clean Business Hotel
This was a superb hotel to rest during our long drive to Sicily. The location is very convenient, as it is outside the traffic-jammed Naples
Nice big hotel with normal big clean rooms, big free parking, nice useful staff, good wi-fi
Far from the city center and beach
Upon complaint the senior management on Monday a.m. Accepted fully responsibility but we are writing to Novotel as we have never found such rude staff.
The staff on duty under pressure, rude, unable to understand or converse in English. Room security non existent as we were given keys to occupied room. While there we found we were not the only people this happened to.
Crowed breakfast, location outside of the city, car needed
The air condition was not working properly
A great hotel. Large comfortable rooms with fridge. Beds perfect. Pillows great. They went out of their way to really clean the room beforehand since my wife is allergic. Breakfast full and excellent quality with ability to sit outside with a view of the hills. Free ample parking. Close to motorway. 10 mins to Slaerno centre by car or take their shuttle
Value for money. Reception staff great, rooms very good size.
The restaurant needs to maintain a higher quality of food service.
The building was modern and newish, bathroom was big.
We booked primarily for the "enviable seafront location" description. It is neither enviable or near the seafront, unless you count walking across the car park, over the road then round a long wall through to the beach? Check in staff less than friendly and charged my card in GBP rather than Euro without my permission, then refused to do anything until I asked to see the manager. Map supplied was poor quality and did not even show the hotel (by about 6km). Staff failed to advise of discounted Lido which could be used, Fridge in room was dirty and floor hadn't been hoovered, Breakfast was varied enough but bacon and eggs appalling, as was replacing food stock. The only cocktail ordered from the bar was poor. When some of these complaints were raised to the Manager - only an apology ensued, not good enough for ruining the last few nights of our Italy trip as we will never get that time back.
The hotel is clean, modern and well presented. The pool is lovely and breakfast is good. The location is a €22-25 taxi ride from the train station and town centre. You can get the metro for €1 each way but it stops at around 9.00pm. We found the hotel to be a good base to explore Pompeii, Herculaneum and Amalfi Coast. We enjoyed our stay and were able to see the main sights we had planned.
The hotel is quite away from the town (if you do not have a car). There is a great pizza restaurant almost opposite but no other restaurant within walking distance (that we could find). Salerno is not a tourist town, there is a lot of rubbish and we were disappointed with Salerno itself.
They didn't replace plastic glass.
It was difficult to bridge the gap. The hotel had slow waitstaff for dinner, but this could be Italian way? They were very unprepared for the throng at breakfast - no clean plates, utensils - we ate outside in chairs w no table.
location, bit out of centre, need transportation. Service in Restaurant
A great hotel for an overnight stop. We arrived after a long day's travelling and it was wonderful to cool off in the pool and lounge on their terrace. The pool had a life guard so good for families with small children (also a smaller pool for kiddies). We had a pleasant evening meal outdoors. The room was comfortable and quiet, although smelt of smoke even though it was a no-smoking room and we had to open the windows to air it off. The hotel has a large underground car park which is great for keeping the car cool. This hotel is on the coast and away from Salerno centre therefore easy to get to and from the motorway.
There was a good choice of food for breakfast, but it was a little manic - probably due to the large number of guests staying overnight on a busy weekend in July.
La stanza confortevole La colazione abbondante
Forse potrebbero essere migliorati i cuscini
Far from center, no wifi working
