The shower was very powerful, which you need to wake you up when you've been kept awake all night by the sheer amount of noise from the street, from other rooms, even from the reception. This is possibly the noisiest hotel in the world. My first night might as well have been spent on the concourse at Victoria Station. I was on the ground floor right behind reception, with a window out on to the corner of the busy Via Faenza. All cities are noisy - fair enough - but the owners need to place a door between reception and the ground floor rooms. If you are absolutely forced to book this place, my advice is to insist on an upstairs room on the back of the building. If they try and give you Room number 1, walk away.

Excellent professional service and helpful staff. The facilities were also good, comfortable and clean, and very convenient to the railway station and all the city sites for tourists like ourselves. We were not expecting 5-star as this was in the budget range of hotels, however it was probably better than expected after experiencing several other hotels in this category on this trip. I fully recommend Nouva Italia as good for those who's time in Florence is to be spent out and about, and the need is for convenient and comfortable night lodgings with a good breakfast service.

The hotel is very good, staff are friendly, always happy to help and answer questions. Room cleaning is excellent and every day. In the morning in a small room serves breakfast: coffee, croissants, yogurts, jams, etc. By the way, the coffee is delicious, which is not always give the hotels for breakfast. The hotel is very easy to find, the location is excellent. From the railway station to the hotel 5 minutes by foot, to Duomo in 10 minutes, the bridge Vecchio pass 15-20 slowly. A fine hotel for discovering of Florence.

The breakfast was very simple: danish, fruit, yogurt and coffee. It was great having free WiFi and the location was outstanding--within short walking distance to the markets, the statue of David and the oldest bridge in Italy. The hotel was very old and a little run down. Tiny bathrooms with no separate shower (just a drain in the floor) so everything gets wet. Another person we were traveling with said their water was all brown and rusty so they had to brush teeth, etc, with bottled water.

This hotel was extremely convenient to the bus connection to the airport and to the train station. Also there were many historical locations within easy walking distance. An added advantage was being able to also get a little bit away from the swarms of tourists who (like ourselves) probably thought that visiting in Sept. Would be a little less crowded. We like being able to walk into neighborhoods where the locals live and eat. There were plenty of good and reasonable places to eat nearby. The hotel was compact and well designed in modern style but with the original high ceilings. Decorations with modern art work with a bit of traditional prints and ceramics thrown in....added to our enjoyment of our one day stay.

The location was excellent, a few minutes walk from the main train station in the direction of all the attractions in Florence, very convenient. The hotel is clean, well serviced and comfortable. The staff were helpful, friendly and spoke English well. Everything considered, I felt that this hotel represented great value for money. At one point, on my checkout morning, the wifi was unusable. However, it worked fine the rest of the time I was there.

The staff was very nice! Good Breakfast with bread, croissant, small cake, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruits(it will be even better, if there will be bananas as well;)) and coffee!! Great wifi connection. If you want to buy coffee or hot chocolate outside of the breakfast time, it costs usually only 1 Euro!!! No lift.

What a perfect location! Close to any tour spots and the S.M.n station. Kind stuffs! Fantastic coffee! Breakfast was fine~ The room smells like fungi live in. Whenever I woke up in the morning, I felt my throat was swellen... I think there's a problem with the air filtration system. Despite of these kind of issues, I was satisfied with the hotel. The advantages of the hotel i've said made me almost forget about the issues.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, particularly with breakfast service. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was adequate- it was nice having fresh fruit every day. Hotel is great location from train station and city centre. There was a lot of noise from the street during the night and constant noise from downstairs in the lobby/breakfast room. Our room was near the stairs so this was probably why we copped most of the noise. I would recommend bringing earplugs!

The hotel staff is great! They are ready to help, they are very friendly, their advices about the nearby places to eat are really good. Location is also quite good - close to everything, but at the same time away from the most crowded shopping streets. And they have art posters and pictures everywhere - some of these pretty nice. The furnishing is pretty old, the ac is controlled centrally from the reception desk only, and the bathrooms are on a small side. And worst of all, the electricity curent was unstable during all 6 days of my stay there, causing the light to flicker and my phone set on charger beeped about stopping and starting to charge all night long. It also caused the Internet connection to break up quite often. Talking of the Internet connection, it also annoyed me a lot that I had to type in my login and password details (both are many-digit numbers which one just can't memorize) each time my computer or phone woke up from sleep mode. My room had windows facing the roofs of the other houses and was pretty quiet. But my parents had their windows facing the street, and were complaining about the noise of market carriages every morning.

Staff were really helpful and kind during our stay. We were five and the room was not big enough to accommodate all of us. We had to squeeze in the bed but with the little kids it was ok in the end.

Great location near station and sights, all friendly staff who helped with finding sights. Basic comfortable room had a great stay, cheap for florence as well The room was at street level and was very noisy if the windows were open but as it was november no issue for me, also the blinds were closed all the time probably for security so no daylight, you wouldnt want to stay there if you were going to spend a lot of time in the room but would you stay in your room much in florence?

Very convenient location, close to the rail and bus stations and to the chief sites in Florence. Good value and helpful staff. The only draw back is the lack of an elevator which if one has a mobility problem can present a challenge.

The staff were helpful, booked all tours for us, told us where everything was. It was quiet, close to all things, staff were on duty 24/7 and so friendly. Absolutely a great place to stay. As in most Italian Hotels, the shower was small and hard to use.

The hotel staffs are friendly and were able to converse in basic English. On my 1st day of checking in to the hotel, I asked for a map and the lady who attended to us, drew out all the city's places of interests that are visitied by tourists. The breakfast was simple but filling. Fortunately, all POIs are close to the hotel and that was a good thing as we are not familiar with the public bus. The hotel is also close to the Firenze S.M.N train station with cafes and restaurants just within few minutes walk.

We were returning guests and we can recommend the welcome of the family who run the hotel. We love the location and it is very good value for money. The breakfast is always excellent and the decoration of the hotel with many pictures everywhere, means there is always something new to see. We would have liked a shower tray in the bathroom, rather than the wet room approach.
