The Locanda offers spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi and private bathroom. Set on the 3d floor of a historic building, it is a 5-minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station.
Score from 332 reviews Very good
Just 215 yards from Santa Maria Novella Station, Hotel Jolì is in a early 19th-century building in Florence’s center. A buffet breakfast with hot and cold food is served daily in the breakfast hall.
Score from 815 reviews Very good
The Hotel Sempione is ideally located 215 yards from Santa Maria Novella Train Station and a quarter mile from the Fortezza Da Basso Exhibition Centre. Florence Cathedral is a 10-minute walk away.

It was my second time in this hotel, and I will come back. Train Station is around the corner so this hotel is also excellent to have daytrips by train to Siena, Pisa, Luca, Bologna or Arezzo. WiFi is free and always strong.
I loved the kind staffs, comfortable&clean room, fast&free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. clean. And also it is very close to Marco Centralle (Central Market), San duomo etc. You can reach every famous places by foot. If I visit Firenze again, I would stay here.
Room is little bit cold. Heating system is central controlled. But you can ask for more heat to staff for free.
Location and breakfast is good.
In winter the rooms are not warm. The shutters of the room are tightly closed, so the rooms are dark, gloomy and dusty. Didn't like the rooms.
Very clean hotel. Staffs are very kind.
Nice quaint hotel. Good location. Nice breakfast and staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Rooms clean, and generous with toiletries.
No elevator. Carried our own luggage up 2 floors
The location is great, 5 minutes from the train station (very useful when you have heavy bags!) and 5-10 minutes walk from the centre of the city. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good.
I have already written a review of my recent stay at this hotel. As with other reviewers, I commented positively on the convenient location, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff.
The major problem is the fact that there is no lift and access with heavy luggage is difficult. None of the reviews published on the Booking.com website mentioned this. However, on completing my first review, I was asked to agree or disagree with some other reviewers, many of whom had mentioned the problem of the lack of a lift. Why was this issue not published on your website? It calls into question the veracity of your reviews.
The hotel is very convenient for all major attractions and facilities: 10 mins from the rail/bus stations and 10-15 mins to major museums and churches. The street is pedestrianized so there is no traffic pollution or noise outside (although there is other noise). The furnishings are basic but the rooms are clean and the staff are very welcoming and helpful.
There is no lift and no-one to help with luggage. As I had two heavy cases, I asked for a room on the ground floor (there are three). I stayed in these rooms on both occasions and found them to be dark (you can't open the shutters) and noisy. The hotel is one block away from the market and street traders store their merchandise near the hotel. I was woken by their wheeled wagons early on both mornings.
Location was excellent easy walk from Firenze SM and nicely central to walk to all attractions. Room was nice, no complaints about facilities.
No lift so be prepared to carry suitcase up several floors
It was much nicer than I expected, altho the room was a narrow little cell. Bathroom was good sized and felt quite clean. Expensive but for firenza on short notice on a Saturday night I felt lucky to get it. Lots of interesting art throughout the hotel
Room was cramped. Housekeeper doesn't knock. Just barges in.
very nice clean facility, convenient for train station, good breakfast, staff very friendly
very close to the train station
no lift so if you have a lot of luggage you will be carrying it up the stairs but not to many floors to worry about
Very near the train station, also a very short walk from the Duomo.
Bit expensive (but not bad for Florence), room was fairly small.
Excellent location near many restaurants and easy walk to Duomo. Very good breakfast
Our room was very small and dark. It was on street level, so shutters needed to remain closed. Street noise.
Staff were pleasant and location was OK. Showers are Ok.
Noisy and very basic.Furniture and carpets are a bit dated and grubby and everywhere smells of smoke. It gets noisy 6.30am onwards. We asked for quiet rooms and an early breakfast when we booked but were ignored.
Location, cleanliness, friendly staff, excellent breakfast
No lift, have to carry luggage to the top floor, a bit noisy
Good breakfast, new bathroom, comfortable beds
Second floor and only stair access but manageable
Nice hotel perfectly located in the centre, close to major tourist attractions. Really nice and helpful staff. The garage nearby: via del Giglio, 24/R, look at the map before you drive, as it is in the very centre of the Old city. If you park in the garage, don't hesitate to go to ZTL (limited traffic zone), they will arrange everything.
The location was perfect, all the main attractions in walking distance and it was safe to walk there by night. The stuff was really helpful and nice. Great breakfast.
Clean and comfortable rooms with a great location. I will be staying here on my next visit to Florence.
some noisy at night
Good location and breakfast as well. The staff was quite helpful with information about the city.
Great size room and bathroom. Friendly staff great location. Excellent breakky and amazing coffee! Aircon was fantastic.
Wifi was a bit patchy every now and then.
The location and the staff is excellent.
It need an escalator.
