NV is located at the edge of the centro storico with Parc Garabaldi within 25 meters. As such, you have the convenience of being in the old city (the main piazza is two short blocks away) without having to navigate a car through it. NV has one off-street parking space for potentially two cars (assuming one car for each of two rooms). Take advantage of the opportunity so that your car can be readily available given the limited parking nearby. Also, the cost is a bit less than if you had to pay for parking on the street. Our room, the front of the building, was sizeable with considerable room left over even with a king size bed in it. If you want to experience what it was like to live in the times when a home had very, very high ceilings, then NV fits the bill.
Pierluigi and his spouse, Carmen, offer a simple but wonderful breakfast. The cappuccino is top-notch and the breads are from the bakery around the corner. We stayed four nights; NV was a good starting point for touring the "heel" (Otranto, a less trafficked Amalifi-like drive on both coasts, S. Leuca, and Gallipoli) and a warm home base to return to.
