Get the alfa bus at the airport. Everthing the hotel provided was excellent. We were not sure as we have never been to Alghero before, but all doubts were dismissed on arrival. The receptionist, Paolo, could not do enough to help. He knew schedules, times and places. The breakfast was cooked lovely. Our room was clean n' bright, the toilet/bidet were spotless, all the room stuff worked, and cnn was on telly. The 2 bars were well stocked. Great function rooms too. The grounds are really nice, and has a mini-golf. Live entertainment at nite. The hotel is far enuf from town to be quiet, yet on main bus routes, and the seaside was 3 minutes walk across the street. Lots of shops n' cafes in town. There is a "train" that goes to town twice a day and open air for view. There were many things to see and do, but our weekend stay was too short. Diving, exploring, and sailing r available. The pool was great, & has a kiddie pool for toddlers. I highly recommend the Oasis for first-time visitors or veteran travelers. |

The most beautiful beach of Alghero was 2 minutes walking from the hotel The swimming pool is really nice and clean. The break fast is quite good. The staff is nice, speak english and helpfull, but... The price of the hotel is really expensive (171€ for a room for 4 persons per night and the room is really basic and the bed not really nice) for the location (far from city center) , standing and transport are really poor, if you don't have a car you will walk a lot...I'll recommend the hotel only because the beach is really nice and the swimming pool as well |

Food at restaurant was outstandingly superb (we were on HB) - very well done there! Staff at restaurant/reception were generally helpful and friendly. Hotel common areas (reception, pool area, restaurant) look good. The evening singer was good, but always the same (for some reason next to no-one used to be there in the audience, so there was little atmosphere). This hotel is placed in an excellent location close to Maria Pia beach (the best beach in Alghero), far nicer than Lido San Giovanni, where almost all the other hotels are situated - so this is a great plus point for Hotel Oasis. Room cleanliness was deplorable - one could see the dirt on furniture surfaces! Mattress old and uncomfortable. Furniture and bathroom old and cranky. Little to no noise soundproofing. TV - few channels and mostly bad reception (only CNN in English). This hotel would do with some major refreshments in the rooms/room corridors to bring them up to standard to the other hotel areas (reception, restaurant, pool area were ok). Pools closed at 7:00 pm when it's best time to swim, esp.with small children (low UV index). Restaurant should stay open till later in the evenings (not just till 9:00, wasting the last hour or so of sunlight). Perhaps hotel should consider a shuttle service to Alghero town centre, since it's not too near and public transport is not reliable. |

The hotel was close to the beach...not on. It's a short walk across a road and very crowded during the weekend, but the water is spectacular! The pizzas are great...try the Sardinian Sausage. Not alot around the hotel and there is no refirigerator in the room. |

Hotel Oasis has good facilities, good size pool and pool beds, table tennis , crazy golf etc. Buffet breakfast was fine, good selection. Staff on reception excellent and very helpful. Coffees from the machine, rotten! Prefered to have it homemade in jug for eg, caffe latte. Bedroom was old fashioned, bathroom more modern, tiles too colourful!! A bit out of Alghero centre, but spacious. |

The swimming pools were warm, particularly the children's. Very close to an excellent beach, albeit very crowded even in June. The rooms were very basic and poorly maintained. We requested non-smoking but there was a smell of stale cigaretee smoke and ashtrays were provided. We were not happy with the charge of 12 euros for a cot. |

Easy to find and ideal for an overnight stay before heading back to the airport. We had an early start with just enough time for breakfast but the hot food was brought out just as we were finishing - not enough to spoil our stay but we had a long journey ahead and would have welcomed a hot meal before leaving. |

Breakfast was good and the communal areas were clean and well kept. The bedrooms are rather basic and are in need of modernisation . Bathroom towels are more like tea towels, and there is a charge of 2 euros 50 per person for the use of a towel at the pool. So take your own!!! The hotel is a 40 minute walk from the centre of Alghero |

Excellent beach 3 minutes walk away. Good facilities for families with young kids. Hotel rooms very clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Nice place to visit for a chilled out relaxing beach holiday. Hotel a bit far out in from town centre. Not too many places to go out and eat nearby. |

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is very good- ask the hotel to make your booking half board for an extra 11 Euros per person per night well worth it- great pasta. Rooms are all in need of renovation and do not look like the photos on booking.com Hotel was built in 1989 and since then some 20 years later and 100,000s of guests no renovation so some areas are tatty and well used. The hotel drinks are very expensive. |

The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The pool area/garden was lovely and exceptionally well maintained. Bedrooms were a good size. The breakfast was very disappointing. The noise from other rooms disturbed our sleep most nights. Bedrooms were very plain and lacked a cosy feeling. |

Staff were excellent, very friendly and obliging. Pool area was lovely and well maintained, they actually had 2 exercise bikes and a table tennis table by the pool and tennis courts just outside of the hotel. Beach was just across the road but there was a nice forest area to walk through. A little noisy, walls must be quite thin as we could hear all of the conversation from the adjoining rooms. One of the nights a gang of bikers had arrived and they were drinking and hollering till half 4 in the morning, wouldn't bother me usually except that the bar area was right underneath our section of the hotel and we were only one floor up from the noise. |

The staff was nice, but the beds were hard. The location in relation to Alghero's old town was great. |

The room had a private balcony as advertised. This was the reason I chose this hotel over the competition. Good parking facilities and a friendly staff. The location was clearly marked on the map so I guess I can't really complain, but it was too far from the city centre and I found myself using the car all the time. |

Clean and good staff. Well maintained externally. A long way our but we knew that before: 'only' actually a 35 minutes walk but after a day in Alghero seemed longer. Sound proofing poor but luckily low occupancy levels when we were there as could be hard to sleep in peak season. Wife very cold first night and had to ask next day on operation of wall heater as could not get to function adequately. |

Convenient to Alghero but far enough away that it was quiet. Breakfast buffet was varied and hearty. The one receptionist that I communicated with was extremely helpful. I chose this hotel for its access to the beach and airport, but because we flew on the Ryan Air flight that arrived after midnight, my son and I took a taxi to the hotel. |

Close to beach, good pool no atmosphere, virtually empty as closing for season this weekend. Too far from main town with no nice bars / restaurants between, at least those that were open |

The nice bright room and the great view of the pool. The breakfast food was lukewarm. Bacon & eggs does not really work in an Italian environment - best just to stick to Italian food - it's wonderful anyway. I know lots of English people want exactly what they have at home, but maybe they need their hands forced a little, and they should be more adventurous! |

This completely renewed establishment is directly located on the main road in front of Alghero's Lido Sandy Beach, and offers a magnificent view comprising the old town and the coastline. |
Hotel Calabona is set on the splendid Riviera del Corallo (Coral Riviera) of Alghero, and offers a spectacular view of the Capo Caccia (Cape Caccia). |

Enjoy colourful Catalan decoration and a central location in this 4-star hotel. You will be in front of the tourist harbour and just a 5-minute walk from Alghero’s historic centre. |
