Location is superb.

It is kind of an old apartment.

-Large, spacious apartment stocked with pots, pans, glasses, and a stove-top espresso maker -Our apartment was right next to the Colosseum and a host of other tourist attractions

-Check in is potentially across town from where you will stay -They charged us for holding our small bags in the check-in office before our flight!

1.Bed in main bedroom comfortable. 2. Close to Vatican. 3. Close to buses to central area. 4. Supermarket close by.

These comments relate to the Vatican Apartment specifically, and to the agent (Old Town Apartments) generally: 1. Austere furnishings, soul-less apartment lacking any warmth whatsoever. 2. Very cold apartment in late May 3. Hot water system very temperamental 4. Rotting awning in second bedroom, unable to be drawn up or down, stuck in up position meant no privacy from neighbouring apartments for this bedroom, more or less rendering it useless to sleep in (agent says they have reimbursed us 50 Euro - a 10% discount for a third of the apartment being unusable over the three nights). 5. No welcoming essentials like milk, salt, pepper, water, coffee, clothes detergent - just a bare apartment. 6. No cable/satellite TV - local Italian TV only (mostly channels owned by you-know-who). Likely the worst TV in the known world. 7. Tiny TV screen in sitting room 8. Booking.com website states that wifi is available, but "must be requested". Once requested, it requires an additional payment of 5 Euros/day - no forewarning of this before committing to book - can only find out afterwards when making the payment to the agent. 9. Apartment situated in heart of a tourist area, so expect to pay much more for restaurants, cafes, groceries etc 10. Stench of cigarette smoke throughout the apartment for two days, despite trying to air the rooms - previous occupants obviously smoked inside despite agent stipulating apartment is non-smoking. The occupant of the apartment below smokes incessantly, so stale tobacco smell throughout the lobby and wafts up into this apartment which is directly above. 11. Compelled by agent to sign form giving all credit card details against which a (theoretically unlimited) charge of no specified amount could be made by the agent in case of damage to the apartment.

The price was right for this apartment. Within 3 blocks of Coliseum and Pantheon. The train station was about 25min walk away. There were several excellent local restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The local Piazza had a wonderful gelato shop. The apartment was large, 2 large bedrooms and the living room also had a double bed. Could easily sleep 6 or 7 people here. The staff was very helpful in getting us to the office for check-in. We stayed in Collesso 1 apartment.

The bathroom needs major updating, the tile was old and the grout was black. The washing machine did ot work, this was a real bummer because we booked the apartment so we could was our clothes halfway through our 2 week European vacation. It was a little tiring to walk 4 flights of stairs with luggage and after a day of sightseeing. However, have to say the location makes up for the negatives.

The location is near Monzani metro which is easy for tourist to move. Also walking distance to Colosseum.

The reception is super far and no assistance to show or guide to the apartment, they just give a direction and a map. You have to find your self and the direction also no very clear.

We stayed for 3 days. The apartment is poorly maintained. No hot water for 2 days and not sufficient showering lotions (one hotel size bar of soap for six adults for three days).. Furniture is old. The apartment is far away from the check in office. We ran out of toilet paper ( they never restocked it). This is the worst place we stayed in Italy.

The location is very superb. It's only two or three tram stops away from the Colosseo. Not to mention that the Manzoni Metro Station is also a few meters away from the apartment, which makes going to other tourist sites (E.g. Vatican City, Piazza di Spagna Termini Train Station, and among others) very easy and convenient.

The heater was barely working in the evening, so we had to shower using cold water. Also, the check-in office was quite far from the apartment.

Great size apartment for families. Nice and clean.

The stove cook top needs a flint, as the matches are dangerous. The washing machine gave me a small electric shock, that needs an Electrician to check it. We didn't have any tea towels in the apartment.

We really enjoyed the apartment we were moved to that third night, but were disappointed with the first apartment and customer service to that point.

The ceiling in the bathroom was covered in mold. It made my allergies flair and I was unable to spend any time in the apartment. It took several hours to get a representative on the phone and when I did they were unable to move us until the following day. Due to the severe allergic reaction, we were forced to get another hotel room for the night at our expense. I was thoroughly disappointed with the way this situation was handled.

Great Apartment near Termini for us to get express train to airport and hop-on-hop-off buses. Great supermarket and pizza shop around the corner. Lift didn't fit pram not folded up - just single person lift but no problem secure apartment. Very clean, good amenities great value for money

Reception staff can speak English well. Accommodation is clean, spaces.

They asked credit card details in written or to deposit 200 euros in case any damage to recover, even we have paid full amount for the apartment. I was reluctant to give my credit card details but deposited 200euros. They returned 200euros with no problems on departure day but it was 10.30 and we were late to book our train tickets to Pisa!!

Very clean and comfortable!! The location is excellent and it is very close to Termini station which is the hub for travel in Rome. Spacious and just a lovely apartment. Thank you.

Nothing!!

We were given the Manzoni apartment instead of the Apollo which we originally booked. The staff was very understanding and waived the airport transportation and check-in fees as a compensation. The Manzoni apartment is very close to the Manzoni metro station and was in a good condition overall. It has 2 bedrooms and an additional bed in the kitchen. The location is very safe and the neighborhood is quite lively with different services close-by.

The downside to the Manzoni apartment is that it wasn't in the heart of the city as the Apollo, which resulted in additional transportation costs.

The apartment was advertised on bookings.com as sleeps 3 yet the staff refused to supply linen for the advertised sofa bed. It required 5 hours of fighting to get a quilt. Staff were telling bookings.com they had solved the problem and me they were not going to solve the problem. Staff suggested sheets were enough although temperatures were going down to 0c overnight. The apartment was quite damp and the bathroom was mouldy.

Very spacious room and great management the wifi that can be used on a daily basis is not good if there is more than one person on it at a time.

I stayed at Piazza Navona Apartment, the house is in the middle of the city, 10 minutes walk to Vatican City, 15 minutes walk to Fontana Di Trevi and Piazza Di Spagna. The rooms were so clean.

A very good location, close to many sights and very close to the metro station, in the area there are lots of restaurants and shops. Very comfortable apartment with all the necessary facilities.

We have been there in February ans it was a little bit cold although there is a heating system.

Apartment had everything and staff were very helpful before our arrival, answering all queries and offering information

The location and the standard of the apartment very good. Excellent place to enjoy Rome.

Great location. 2 min from Colosseo, 5 min from metro station. nice furniture but not new. Appartment was good for short time of staying cause it is a bit tiny.. has floors but not enough space. The bed in the bedroom is comfortable.

The other bad is old and noisy and not very comfortable to sleep on it. Too little space and there are stairs so to get to the toilet you need to go up and down always ( WC is on the first floor and bedroom on the second one!). Some things in the bathroom were broken and not very tidy. But if you are not very captious person this appartment is not the worst place to stay!
