A restored monastery, Hotel Abbazia is in the quiet Cannaregio district of Venice, 300 ft from Santa Lucia Train Station. The hotel features a large courtyard garden with bar.

From a Venice logistics standpoint, it was excellent by being next to the Piazzale Roma bus stop and next to the Vaporetto boat transportation stations.
Quality, clean and very comfortable hotel ideal for our party of 14. staff exceptional.very convenient for bus, rail and Vaporetto. Would stay again.
Clean rooms and bathrooms Breakfast was very nice as well.
Proximity to railway station and cruise port
We have stayed here four times now and will be returning again next year. The staff are wonderful, the hotel is excellent, we can only recommend it very highly to all. Thank you once again for making our holiday even more special.
Great buffet breakfast and convenient location.
This hotel was ideal for people like us who don't like being in the thick of crowds and prefer a smaller hotel. The location was easy to reach from the train station. The staff was very helpful and the room was absolutely lovely, very up to date and clean.
Service was impeccable! Breakfast was very good!
Price was way too high! Only one pillow and very flat. No shower curtain??? Odd...water got everywhere!
Quiet location, but very close to the bus and train stations. Room had recently been made over, and done to an excellent standard.
Bar service was a bit slow.
Garden room was very quiet, spacious Staff was very helpful Breakfast = many choices Location convenient for walking or taking the vaporetto; close to cruise port
Small bar - not always attended Restaurant only available for breakfast.
the hotel was brilliantly positioned so that we did not have to get involved with pricey transport. The staff were immensely helpful. The comfort level was very good.
I liked everything.
Closeness to Piazzale Roma, able to take people mover from Tronchetto parking to Piazzale Roma, 200 m from Hotel.
Rooms small, since People mover (monorail) not working early am had to contract a taxi to take us to Tronchetto ($40 euro plus tip). Basic room meant no use of lift (not informed on website)
Ideal for what we wanted. Spotlessly clean, exceptionally attentive and helpful staff, a good breakfast and a quality and comfortable room. Very close to the bus station and convenient for the water bus.
The exterior appearance does not do justice to the excellent interior.
Friendliness of staff Location Decoration and style
Breakfast omelet not good Flowers stunk after rain Rooms a bit small
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right on the canal with easy access to both the bus station and train station. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and comfortable then this will probably suit you.
The deluxe rooms are not much different to the standard doubles so not necessarily worth the upgrade. The decor is dated and could do with updating.
Hotel was an 5 minute walk from the bus station, making it ideal when travelling with suitcases, but was truly Venetian in character. Large family rooms and pretty gardens. Buffet breakfast included and a complementary drink on arrival made it just perfect. Just a 5 minute walk to the People Mover made it easy to get to the cruise terminals.
We loved the location, and the staff were wonderful, very helpful and nice.
Location brilliant. Garden beautiful. Staff great. Very good value for money for Venice
Room for family was quite cramped
Nice and comfy, helpful staff.
Reception staff were 5* and more, efficient and quick check-in, helpful advising us on so many aspects Venice. Breakfast choice was very large and would accommodate all tastes. 5*
Very easy access to all main area, easy to master public transport. Breakfast good.

Breakfast could have been better .
Conveniently situated at Piazzale Roma, very close to the car parks, so quite easy to transport the luggage from our car. Nicely decorated, spacious and quite family room. Friendly and helpful personnel. Quite close to the vaporetto stop.
A rather long way to the centre (San Marco). about 30 min on foot and more than 40 min by vaporetto, but this comes with staying at the entrance of the city. Building relatively old. Breakfast just OK.
Front desk staff were very friendly helpful and professional. Bathroom clean and updated, air conditioning worked well.
Room was small with low ceilings not great beds and hallways had a poor odor. The hotel is literally across the canal from the Piazza Roma bus station parking. I have stayed in the Santa Croce area before but would highly recommend booking at least a couple of streets further into Venice to greatly improve the neighbourhood.
