Front desk staff very friendly and helpfull. Hotel was very clean and colorful. Hotel is close to the Vatican, shopping and walking distance to many of Romes sights. No cabinets with drawers to put socks, underware or personal supplies in. Bench at the end of the bed is to long and takes up too much space ( with what little space there is) . Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. Always woke up with neck and back aches. Would recommend this hotel because of it's cleanliness and proximity but, would warn people of the problems above.

The design was pretty funky and it was well appointed and clean and quite central for travelling purposes being directly opposite a travel hub. The continental breakfast was quite pleasant. The room could have had complimentary bottles of water, especially since the local water was so cheap as well as tea and coffee facilities with some complimantary biscuits, which would have been a welcome touch. a suite should have a luxurious feel and I am pleased to say the suite was just right. Also, based on the number of english travellers, this hotel should urgently invest in more english Television channels. Its wonderful having 1800 channels at your disposal, but only 2 english...

The restaurant had excellent food and service. The water was tepid/cold. This was apparently due to there being a big freeze (including snow) forth first time in 30 years.

The location was great, walking distance to all the attractions. One end of the street Vatican, opposite end old Rome. Restrauant very good. Public transport from the termini takes you to within 5minutes walk of the accomodation. Room was very quiet and comfortable. Cleanliness was exceptional. Internet service not obtainable in the room, believe it maybe due to the insulation of the room. Water for showers not very hot. Would be ok in the summer but insufficient for the winter.

Very friendly helpful staff. Room was small but comfortable. Convenient for the historic centre of the city and Trastevere, also close to Ottiaviano metro station.Good value breakfast costing 5 euro pp. Unrestrained use of the colour orange and decor rather dated.

Friendly receptionist. Resteraunt and bar not open and and told we could easily book a taxi even though there was a taxi strike on. Didn't help us try and sort transport out and only just made it to the airport (this was a different woman to the helpful woman all weekend).

I really loved in Orange Hotel that the metro station was in walking distance, the modern design of the hotel room and the real good value for money. I really dissapointed with the cleanliness of the room. There was a lot of dust in the room and in the bathroom. Also the towels and the bedcovers didnt show to be so clean.

(1) Friendly staff (2) clean room although the decor is tired. (3) basic accomodation which is OK for a short city break (4) local to vatican city. (1) Missold the accomodation & facilities. (2) 4 star rating is not justified. (3) No restauarant or roof terrace bar (As stated). (4) hot tub not available. (5) Tired decor which could do with a revamp. (6) Very basic buffet breakfast.

It was a great location. Walkable to the Vatican and transportation. It was clean and confortable. It was a little noisey but didn't bother us as we were very tired when we went to bed. However, they did supply earplugs. Many restaurants and shops in the area. Would stay there again.

The room on the first night was very noisy, i slept less than 3 hours. The next morning i asked the receptionist to give me another room. She said there wasn't another empty room, but fortunately after a little crying she found one. The hotel charged me more than the price received from booking.com.

The roof top terrace was lovely and to have breakfast there was a real treat. On arrival told there was a problem and we had to relocate other side of city ! after we insisted we wanted to remain in centre we were taken round corner to another hotel which was poor. Nil communication between hotels and problems with second hotel electricity ( spark from Shower ! ) Dark interiors and dangerous .

Location to the key sites and metro stations, better neighbourhood than termini area and good shops both food and cloths around about. Rooms were really loud from outside noise, not just from the cobbled streets but from the car engines as they drove past so much that even the TV in the room at full volume did not deaden out the sound. The hotel supply earplugs as standard and when we spoke to the manager she said they know about the problem! The breakfast was really bad, coffee was not good coffee, burnt taste and they don’t always change the grounds for espresso. The selection was very poor, one cheese one meat (both processed) sweet pastries were only ever about 3 on the plate, but topped up with fresh for Italian couples, no fresh fruit, and no real selection of cereals. The morning staff serving breakfast were rude Water was never hotter than warm, and there was a poor quality finish to the room, they were clean but shabby and poor quality finish to the decoration.

The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms although tiny compared to North American standards are functional and the design is cool. Being a "green" hotel it lacks in the usual accoutrements like shampoo and bar soap and instead uses dispensers in the wall which are fine but if your fussy bring your own shampoo etc. The location is excellent for getting around Rome you are yards from the Vatican and all it's sites as well as a short 15 minute walk to the heart of all the shopping and other sites on the other side of the river. If you need a cab, bus or metro it is a 2 minute walk. The room top deck is perfect for morning or afternoon coffee and snacks. As I said the rooms were tiny but thats par for the course in downtown european hotels from my experience. We only used to sleep and shower. If you want luxury (and a bath) move on. Internet access is okay and I hate being charged for wifi access has to be the biggest hotel markup next to the minibar. Hotel is in a busy area so it is noisy but that's not unexpected in an urban environment.

The hotel is very close to Vatican City, which is why we chose it. The elevator worked. If what you are looking for is a sleezy looking hotel with unfriendly staff this is the place for you. Orange is the operative accent colour to a fault. Orange plastic is everywhere...lampshades, seats, lights in the bathroom (where soap is at a premium): it is truly gawdy. The breakfast was marginal: nowhere near the quality of the hotel in Rome we were at a month earlier at a lower nightly rate.
