Located a 15-minute walk from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Bartolomeo offers self-catering accommodation in different locations in Florence.
Score from 39 reviews Excellent
Located about a 15 minute walk from the center of Florence, Hotel Jane is set in a peaceful district near the Arno River. Make the most of free Wi-Fi internet access here.
Score from 811 reviews Good
In a 15th-century building in the San Frediano district of Florence, the Casa per Ferie Santo Nome di Gesú has simple rooms. A sweet buffet breakfast is served daily.
Score from 375 reviews Very good
Hotel Bologna is on a quiet street, a 5-minute walk from the Arno River. Rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 448 reviews Very good
The staff are very helpful. It is very nicely refurbished and very clean. The price is good and it's in a good location. 15 mins walk to the centre. I would recommend this hotel if your looking for a small , central hotel.
The one problem we had is that there is NO heating in the day time. in fact untill 6 pm. We came back to our room after being out all day in temperatures betweem -3 to 6 and it rained and the room was as cold as outside. We asked why and was told they were unable to switch the heating on untill 6 pm. So we had to lay in bed to warm up. We had booked for 6 days but left after 2.
Everything, The location was amazing, and a very easy walk into Firenze (Florence).. You will see the pics on my facebook Page, Casa Sandri San Monastero... Excellent things: 1. Room Size 2. Comford 3. Standard 4. Shower 5. Balcolny 6. Staff 7. Location 8. Multi Lingual 9. Breakfast Included 10. Heating and standard of Room...
The WIFI was a bit of a faff at the start... Otherwise excellent... Will be booking again for Next new Year
The view! Everything was great!
I enjoyed my stay very much - the staff were really helpful and friendly even from their sister 'Hotel Jane'. As a disabled driver in Florence.... The parking with a eu Disability badge is free anywhere except the old town centre - unless by prior arrangement with the authorities. Most tourist entry fees to disabled users are free. But if you are impaired walking or a wheel chair user who will find Florence hard work - original 17th Century paving and not wide enough. There is a lift in the hotel (not big enough for wheel chairs but ok for anything else). Room was very clean and modern with a balcony on a side street but you'll never get away from the Italians regularly using their horns anytime of the day.... Would book again...
For a disabled person the location is a good 20 min walk and the Taxi's are about 10 euros one way (streets are one way so its not necessarilary how the crow flies) Nothing I didn't like about the hotel though....
the staff and the room were simply brilliant!
Location, bed comfort, wi-fi, breakfast, staff, price
Very nice rooms. Owner kind and available. Very close to the center by bus, not by walking. Recommended, good quality for a very good price.
Small bathroom but very nice shower. Breakfast was normal, typical with bread, some jams, ham and eggs for those who like that for breakfast, i expected a bit more choice.
Room was generously sized; quiet location, short walk (10 mins) to Duomo; friendly and informative staff. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Florence.
The only thing that was slightly strange was having to leave the key card at reception and collect from the sizter hotel acrosd the street if out la than 10pm, at other hotels, you keep the cards for the duration of your stay. Otherwise, absolutely no complaints.
The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything, but not in the crowds. The staff members were extremely nice and helpful.
There was no bath-ROOM. The room is just one space with thin glass doors separating the tiny shower and the toilet. Also, the lights were all connected so impossible to use anything at night without waking everybody up. It was incredibly uncomfortable. And - very tacky room design.
Location perfect. Nice and helpful staff. Great clean renovated rooms.
Wifi is free but does not really work in your room. The hot water seems to run out easily when hotel is full.
The room is spacious for 4 people. It was clean and the linen/beddings and comfortable to sleep. The breakfast is perfect there's a lot of choices. The hotel location is near to this plaza where you can find restaurants, coops and accessible to bus station (bus 14abc). The hotel staff is vey nice and helpful.
The only thing I didnt like in our room is the bathroom glass door . I didn't feel any privacy though the hotel provided a temporary cover but I don't think it's enough. And the hotel is too far from main city attraction. There are buses available near the hotel but it will take around 19mins to reach the city centre.
Clean, large room. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. A 15-20 min reasonably nice walk to the very center of town with some good restaurants along the way, one of the best just around the corner. Breakfast quite OK.
No hot water a couple of times.
Very clean, modern, newly renovated hotel with a great breakfast, very friendly staff and good location.
Rooms had thin walls, but luckily no one was loud at night and the hotel was located on a quiet street so there was no traffic noise. Shower was a bit odd out in the room which made the room steamy. We opened the windows but then had to deal with some mosquitoes at night that had entered our room. Had to go across the street to it's sister hotel to get the key to our hotel after a certain hour, but it was really no big deal.
Relatively close to city center, a hotel having nicely furnitured rooms. The room and were clean.
Breakfast not super. The rooms have incredible thin walls. You could hear anything even from the third room. Very annoying.
Clean modern room, friendly stuff
Parking is almost impossible, no places available near hotel. Garage is only option (20 euros per night, 10 minutes walking)
This hotel was recently remodeled so it's very sleek and clean. I liked the quiet neighborhood and that it was a nice 20 minute walk to get to the sites. The breakfast selection was good. Loved the courtyard in the back and our little balcony on our room.
The beds are very hard. The a/c system is all electronic so it's a little tricky figuring out the wall unit and the remote. The walls in this hotel are very thin so you do hear your neighbors talking and banging around. There is no staff at desk past 10pm so if you return late, you have to have staff from across the street let you in the door.
clean and modern, large bright rooms, great breakfast
Walls were thin and floors had no rug coverings to absorb the noise as guests moved about. The tiny elevator makes a lot of noise, so use earplugs.
No bathroom privacy the doors are all made of glass and see through. No soundproofing so the noise of people clomping around kept us awake at night. The young girl working at breakfast was incredibly rude, rolling her eyes at me when I asked for some coffee. Would not recommend this hotel.
Room was new, clean and the bed comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but acceptable for a 2 star hotel. In a good location about 20 mins walk from the main tourist area so a bit quieter.
The walls in the hotel are quite thin so it can be noisy if you have loud neighbours so I recommend you bring ear plugs in case. The lift is very small - we had a baby buggy and it didn't fit.
Staff were helpful and the room was big and very modern.
The walls of the rooms are thin and we couldn't sleep well because of the noise that other guests made when travelling up or down the stairs. We also heard every step that the guests in the room above ours made.
I liked everything from this hotel. The room was huge and very clean. Breakfast more than good, we had fresh fruit and fresh bread every morning. The lady, despite of her busy schedule in the morning, always was offering us capuccino and expresso. Staff always in good mood, very helpful. Because the hotel is not on the centro historico, but very near, restaurants and shoppings are less full and cheaper. We found very nice spots to eat fine food. I would return to Orcagna 100%.
If I have to complain about something, that I do not have, is that is not so close to the historical center, but at an easy walk of 20-25 min, time for you to visit a lot of places you would miss if you are nearer the center. If you are not in a mood to walk, the bus in on the corner. But believe me, the best 20 min. walking of my life.
Nice staff. Very friendly.
The hotel reception is non existent after 10, sometimes even at 8. Then you have to go to the hotel across the road, collect the keys and the reception staff fron that hotel comes over and opens the front door of the hotel for you. When you are tired after a long walk you want to be in your room ASAP than waiting around. They should trust the guests to have a copy of the front door and a self closing mechanism of the door or something like that. Wifi is temperamental. Otherwise good. It's 30 min walk from most attractions, no big deal though
Ease of location Helpful pleasant staff Good breakfast
Thin walls between rooms
Good value for money, good sized rooms with modern fixtures and fittings. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was reasonable.
Location not ideal for younger children (30-40min walk from main items of interest). For younger families a more central location might be better.
One of the best hotels for the ratio price/quality! Modern room and hotel Wonderful design Delicious breakfast Parking place
A little bit far from city center
