We asked if we could leave our baggage after we checked out and the staff wanted us to leave it on the second floor in the hallway. I did not feel that was safe. |

The hotel is 2 blocks from the piazza. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even after we had checked out of the hotel. I thought the breakfast was pretty nice yet simple. The "Italian Shower" is a little awkward because the shower is the actual bathroom. This takes some planning as after you shower, the entire bathroom is wet (including the sink, toilet paper, and any towels hanging inside). Also, the air conditioning/heater is a little challenging to figure out. |

Location. Also, Max at the desk when we checked in was extremely helpful and so was the one when we left. Some of the other staff around the hotel, no people skills. No elevator to bring luggage up in, poor airconditioning. Poor bathroom design - everything gets wet when showering, tight space, no hooks to hang clothes or towels. |

The map of the area they gave us. The shower was horrible and you had to shower without the curtain or it stuck to you the whole time. The shower head was also zip-tied to the wall so you couldn't move it into a more comfortable position. The bed was uncomfortable, some of the staff was creepy, and they charged $7 per hour for WiFi. The breakfast, which is included in the price so you feel obligated to eat it since it costs almost $15 per person per day, was gross with limited options and if you decided you wanted an extra pastry because they are out of yogurt and fruit, they charge you an extra $3. |

Good hotel just a few meters from Piazza S. Marcos. We apreciated the room move since the provided extra bed on 1st room was broken. The new room on the last floor was much better, although we heard during the night the ar conditioning engines. Breakfast ok. Harder mattress. |

The best thing about Hotel Orion is its location. It is a very short walking distance from the San Marco square. (1) The air conditioning in Rm 45 was completely ineffective and we sweated for 2 consecutive nights. When contacted, the staff blamed the external temperatures (2) The shower area is not separated from the dry areas of the bathroom and these get flooded on account of this. Ours was a triple room and we needed two showers a day because of the heat and humidity ! (3) The front desk guy who checked us in (the one on duty before Max) was most unpleasant and not befitting the service industry. (4) The hotel has a paid wireless internet facility but no free public computer. It charges extra to let the guest `hire' a laptop. (5) Our room did not receive a wireless signal and I had to sit on the stairs to access the net. |

It was a small comfy clean room, the front office staff were very friendly and helpful, with great English. Maybe some help in getting a heavy bag to the 4th floor. |

This is like a three star hotel without an elevator. The location is excellent. The curtain of the bathroom is not so effective. It could be better. |

Very convenience location, clean. That there is no elevator, we had to carry bags and go up and down three flights of stairs everytime we went in and out of hotel. |

The location was excellent for the price we paid. the room was OK, quiet and clean. the bathroom was very small but adequate. the hotel did not have a lift which made access with bags difficult although the hotel staff were very helpful in carrying bags up for us. |

Good location and price. Decent hotel room. Excellent breakfast! Toilet and shower are in one room but shower does not have a divider so that the whole floor gets wet when showering. |

Hotel location was central, 2 mins away from the St Mark's / Campanile.. less than 10 mins to Rialto bridge. Staff were friendly and very well informed. I was catching the Vapretto to take my train from Santa Lucia, the staff knew the timing of the boats and was very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I would stay again No, |

It was central, and relatively easy to find, San Marco in Venice being quite medieval and without streets that make much sense I found the noise level from room to room quite intrusive and didn't sleep very well |
