Restaurant open until 10:30pm. We got in late. The food was welcome at the late hour we arrived and "ok", but at breakfast, the coffee was pretty bad, especially for Italy. It says it offers a shuttle service from the hotel. We assumed that it was included as is our assumption with other hotels we have used. It cost 15 Euros per person each way. That's quite a bit. (A cab for three people may have been more economical.) Considering that many guests are coming from and going to the airport makes the room rate for this hotel not as competitive as it might seem. While our room had a bathtub with an swing- openable shower door, our friend's show door was mssing, though its hinge was still on the wall. |

It was a wonderful location in the old city with a beautiful view of the water. The staff was very helpful giving directions where to park, buses to see the Greek ruins , where to eat and how to get on the autostrada. They're very lovely people. It's a family atmosphere. |

On our 2 week trip throughout Sicily, we really loved Syracusa. Do stay in Ortygia. The location is worth the extra euros. This b&b is fine. We staid 2 night in June 09. Friendly staff. Great view on South side. International breakfast buffet. Choice of capuccino etc. Good level for 'Italian standard'. Old spring matras in room Alfeo |

the best accomondation in Sicily. Just a few meters to the main square - Piazza Duomo. Huge room with a nice terrace with a sea view. You can also leave your car just under the terrace. Bathroom is a little bit blighty. |

The best possible location, Ortigia + overlooking the sea + side street to Duomo + relatively quiet. Interesting insight into Sicilian house, which does not consist of hotel rooms only. Modest, very nice design of the rooms. |

Great location in the old town. You can enjoy a stroll at night with everything bathed in a wonderful glow. Hotel staff helpful. Wonderful view of the harbor from the balcony. Difficult to find a parking space, flea market grade furniture, bathroom smelled of sewer in the morning, thousands of birds in trees out side room start singing at 5am, limited breakfast. |

We enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, location and sea view. The breakfast was very nice. We liked the location, rooms were clean, pleasantly decorated, etc, however, felt that the entry & narrow steps leading to the rooms did not give a good initial impression of your business. |

The rooms with sea view were just beautiful, very spacius and fresh, perfect location. However the room without the sea view were half the size. The sea view rooms are highly recommended. |

I felt like I was living in residents' apartment not just a hotel, so it felt great to be able to experience the city like that. Magnificent views and lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Even free parking, which was very convenient. |

Very friendly staff, excellent location and view of the sea, interesting typical old building. Staff were also very helpful and went to great lengths in sorting out a problem with a parking ticket. Difficult to find - no signs or notices saying this was a b&B. This would be ok if warning is given beforehand. Those arriving with a car could be informed that they they can park locally, rather than in the main car park in Ortigia and bring bags from Archimedes. |

The Approdo delle Sirene is in an ancient, elegant building, lapped by the waters of the natural harbour. It is a charming residence based on a refined atmosphere and typically Sicilian hospitality. |
The building is located in the heart of the city, where you can feel the mystical atmosphere of Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tears, the cultural atmosphere of the museum Paolo Orsi, and the atmosphere on... |
Set in a 19th century bourgeois house, facing the Greek Arsenal and the small harbour of Siracusa, the hotel is also near to Ortygia Island and all the most important monuments. |
The Hotel Mercure Siracusa is set in the heart of Siracusa close to the most interesting archaeological sites including the Greek Theatre, Archimedes’s Tomb and the Rope Makers Cave. |
