L'Hotel Orto de'Medici offre un incantevole giardino interno risalente al XVI secolo e una terrazza panoramica con vista su Firenze. Si trova a soli 10 minuti a piedi dal Duomo. La sala decorata con affreschi originali e mobili d'epoca rappresenta la cornice ideale per i vostri momenti di relax. Questo edificio storico vanta anche una scala in pietra toscana e un suggestivo corridoio con soffitti a volta. Le camere sono decorate nel classico stile fiorentino. Alcune godono di una vista splendida sui tetti medievali o sul giardino, ma sono tutte provviste di canali satellitari e bagno privato. L'hotel si trova a 1 km da Santa Maria Novella ed è ben collegato dai mezzi pubblici. Con una piacevole passeggiata di 20 minuti attraverso il centro storico raggiungerete Ponte Vecchio. Camere: 42

Discreto, ma con rapporto prezzo prestazioni non all'altezza. Camera singola (molto piccola) 174 euro per una notte, bene il bagno, mediocre, ma nello standard purtroppo, la colazione. Non ha insegne che permettano dalla strada di riconoscerlo, solo hotel.

C'e' tutto quello che serve come supporto logistico alla visita di Firenze, compreso wifi libero e pc nella hall a disposizione. Il personale e' attento, cortese, discreto. Posizione tranquilla a meta' strada tra la stazione ed il centro. Colazione all'aperto! Il televisore in camera non e' all'altezza del resto. D'altra parte a Firenze non si soggiorna per guardare la tv...

il palazzo, la camera ampia , pulita temperatura della camera bassa, essendo un palazzo antico forse questo é ilmotivo. La colazione a buffet niete di eccezionale

Le parti comuni dell' hotel sono belle e la posizione nel centro della città. Le stanze che abbiamo occupato senza dubbio non sono all'altezza delle parti comuni dell'hotel. Le stanze sono mal insonorizzate, i bagni non det tutto rinnovati ed in un caso di dimensioni molto ridotte.

The wonderful location which enabled us to walk to everything easily. Hotel staff recommended good restaurants too. Our room was comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast room was too tight. Just not enough room for the number of guests trying to get up and serve themselves from the buffet and the self- service coffee machine. It didn't make for a leisurely breakfast!

The location was very good, 5 mins to Accademia and Medici chapels, 10 mins to Duomo. The breakfast room was very nice as was the breakfast. The general ambience in the hotel was nice as was our room. They could have kept tea/coffee in the room.

The reception staff were very welcoming and spoke excellent english. Helpful when asked questions. Room was very spacious, clean and well serviced. Welcoming cocktail in garden bar was very much appreciated and the outdoor area was beautiful and well cared for. Beds were comfortable and hotel was in a very central location for city site seeing and tours. Easy walking distance from train station. Breakfast was poor in relation to other facilties at hotel.

Within easy walking distance to major sites, but out of the way for heavy traffic. We upgraded to a courtyard room, which was very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was quite adequate, but a bit limited. Nothing to complain about, however.

Very nice common spaces: entrance hall, back yard, breakfast room, public computers. Remodeled bathrooms. Breakfast was very basic. The decor of our rooms were a bit dated. The shower was heavily! leaking.

I thought it was the best 3 star hotel I have ever stayed in. beautiful decor and excellent facilities nice rooms and dining room and very convenient location. oh yeah .. 2 Imacs for hotel guests. basic breakfast

Great location, parking is available by valet; facilities good and friendly staff main improvement would be to offset that the floors are quite cold during winter months, perhaps slippers provided?

Well presented Hotel with a lovely courtyard garden, spacious rooms with friendly helpful staff; and best of all in a quite location but only a two minute walk to the historic centre and a ten minute easy walk to the train station.

We enjoyed the simple elegance and charm of this Italian hotel in the heart of the "people district" of Florence. The lovely courtyard and simplicity of the design really spoke to us. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. We look forward to our next trip to Florence and our stay at the Hotel Orto de Medici. We liked everything about the hotel.

We had a lovely garden room which was very spacious and also quiet Breakfast finished at 0930 which was rather early and if you got there any time after 0900 there was not always a good choice. The reception staff were fairly efficient but not particulary friendly nor did they appear to care whether your stay was going well.

Liked the history of the hotel. LIked that my husband myself and my two children could stay in the same room. Liked free wifi. Garden and breakfast was lovely. Really loved the gift of a small book on the history of the Medici's and this hotel. Nice touch! Would stay again. Did not like that other clients were allowed to smoke in the garden/breakfast area. That really made it unpleasent for other non smokers and children. Not to mention people with asthma. Did not like the water pressure, it was barely a trickle in the shower.
