close to station and other
difficult to find from cruise ship no address..... in Venice
The location is good. I booked a bed in a mixed room. The first night I had to sleep oposite and very close to a young boy, room was small and beds were very close one another, which was very inconvenient. Room was not clean, no air-con, no fan, very hot and stuffy. But the following night, the reception man was very kind to change me to another room, only 2 beds, more space. Really appreciated that.
Rooms are only, small and stuffy.
Only about 7 minutes walk from the train station.
No breakfast. Toilets are dirty and disgusting. Bath once only. cannot cook in the kitchen. dont expect the wifi, which is very poor.
It was a bit expensive, finding the adress was so difficult
close to the train station though it was hard to find the hostel due to the complicated roads. Quiet at nights. They were maintaining facilities well and clean.
the bed wasn't comfy at all. They really need to change the mattress.
It's well located although it's a bit tricky to find It was quite cheap
They have a curfew at 12 and they lock the door until 7 so nobody can come in or out during this time which makes it feel quite dangerous and uncomfortable. The atmosphere of the hostel is not really friendly I would not stay there again
Location and staff only
Not clean Noisy street
no breakfast too many noisy from outside no air conditioner
+ The staff was helpful during our stay. + Location is good as it is close to bus and train station.
- When I made the booking, the room shown in the photo was VERY different from the room given to us. - We had made a request at the time of booking in the space available for special requests on the booking form. The request was not even read by the staff and was not complied with. - Before travelling, I called at their phone number, no one answered the phone. - The bathrooms and toilets are not clean at some times and it lead to some unpleasant experiences. - One of the toilet on the floor was broken down with water on the floor and resulted in a constant stench in the corridor. - No soaps/hand wash liquids are supplied in the bathrooms which makes it very difficult for a customer to freshen up who has just checked-in after his/her journey.
This was an excellent place to stay while a couple other students and I spent two nights in Venice. Easy to get to from the Piazza and the room was just what we needed while we were there. The staff was very friendly and spoke very good English.
The most important thing to know is that they strictly enforce a 12:30 to 7am curfew – the building is locked after 12:30am, so if you're planning on being out later than that then it's probably a good idea to stay elsewhere.
Good wifi and friendly staff.
Almost everything. Dirty and smelly bathroom, worst bed ever, it feels like living in jail. Bed is so thin and we had to do the sheets. Fortunately I stayed only one night.
The location was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful, a lovely terrace to sit and eat and look over Venice. overall a very pleasant stay
everything was lovely
I arrived at the hostel early, but the suitcase left there without any problems. very good location. clean and comfortable. very responsive staff. view from the room - fantastic! nearby there are great restaurants and grocery stores.
only one but an important disadvantage - dirty showers.
Value for money Good location
VERY noisy at night. Glass window in door so every time the hall light came on my room lit up Hairs on mattress and blanket (actual sheets they gave me were crisp and clean though)
The building is great, beautiful and historical. I was on the 4th floor and the wifi was excellent. Though there was no ac which is pretty normal all over Europe, you could get a fan. I had a great breeze. There is a kitchen with a microwave so you can heat up your own food. The vending machines sold things at reasonable prices! The public rooms were all really comfortable. My room had a sink, a desk and chair, a nice armoire and a comfy single bed. It was very clean. Excellent staff, they all are very caring, some have better English than others, but then it's Italy! Two nice little cafes right in front, but the best place to have breakfast was at the Vaporetto stop, Piazelle de Roma (where the bus terminus is) 2 euro gets you a croissant and a single macchiato and it's a 5 minute walk.
These are points that the hotel has no control over and happens everywhere: fellow guests talk in normal voices in the hall after 9pm ( like 2am). Ignorant people, they are everywhere. The building is next to a canal & they can be noisy at odd hours, but who cares, it's Venice. Hot water was a bit of a problem some days, the luggage room is more of a luggage corridor, I didn't use it, though I'm sure they have a good system.
It was close to the train station, but in a quiet area. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The shared shower wasn't so clean. The room had a bit of mold and there was no air-conditioning, differently from the announcement.
I have to leave at 6am due to my reservation in train to Milan. They charged 5 euros extra to open the gate. Despite this there was no one to open the gate at 5.30am and I have to search for the person to open the gate that made me late.
Easy to find, cheap room
Bathroom very dated
The door was so thin and our room was facing the terace. Althoght there are signs everywhere asking not to make noise after 23:30, the terace was full of people making noise and i had to go in the reception 3 times to beg spmeone to stop the noise after midnight.
1. Easy to find 2. central location 3. friendly staff 4. bathrooms were clean and big
Nothing much, just that wifi wasn't working and also we could do with little more guidance of Venice
The hostel is very near to the train station, less than 10-minute walk. The staffs is very friendly and allow us to use the kitchen even we have checked out. The room is clean, quiet and has a beautiful view although it is small and simple. There is also a terrace to enjoy fresh air and wonderful Venice.
The lift is too small but considering the old building it is tolerable.
The staff is very frendly and helpfull. 7 min. from train station. Room and shower are very clean. Nice view from the terrace. Best price for economical tourist. I would stay here again.
-wifi is terrible in the room. -remember you have to come in hostel until 0:30.
Good basic hostel , great location-close to station
Shared bathrooms but clean enough for a one night stay
