Great value for Rome, very large rooms. Clean, spacious bathrooms. Helped us to book taxi to/from airport for a good price. WiFi worked great in the rooms and was free. Perfect location for visiting the Vatican and metro to explore all other parts of town was within a couple of minutes walking.
Towels and sheets are only changed every three days unless you pay extra 10 Euros. Breakfast across the road not very good, but seems to be the standard for the town. Had one night of loud yelling outside and could not sleep but no other problems the other two nights. Pillow very hard.
Clean and friendly, close to metro and Vatican
The hotel staff were great. Very clean and comfortable.
We paid for breakfast every morning and had tickets to present to the cafe over the road. 1 they dont speak English and 2. they don't open until late unlike tourist hotels that open at 6 am. So you had to purchase breakfast elsewhere. The day we left I had an hour or two to wait, so I presented two tickets for breakfast as I was hungry. I was told 1 a day only. Very sad situation. You may want to fix the fridge in the hotel.. it didn't work and the milk went sour over night.
It was our second time in Ottaviano Guest House, and it was just excellent! We arrived in Rome early in the morning, and although we couldn't check-in right away, we could leave our luggage at the reception, change in the hotel's utility room and go for a walk until the check-in officially started. Our room was super clean, very nice & quiet with fast Wi-Fi. The owner was very happy that we were staying at the hotel for the second time, so he gave us a free breakfast voucher for 1 morning, which was very sweet of him, because we hadn't booked any breakfast:) In general, it's a great hotel, and yes, we will stay there again next time we are in Rome:)
There was nothing not to like:)
The location is perfect, also the staff, especially at reception were very helpful and polite. Definitely recommend.
In this guest house we liked almost everything: the personal is very nice, room - very comfortable, it is also situated very close to Vatican City, so you can avoid queues there if you arrive in the morning, except poor breakfast in one of three cafes outside guest house.
Concerning breakfast it's better not to order it in hotel but search for cafe by yourself. Slow signal of Wi-Fi.
Room size was very good. Beds were comfortable. Bath was well equipped.
Vatican St Peters just a 5 minute walk away, central location, quiet with plenty of places to eat, hotal arranged transport to and from airport
In general it's perfect
The view from the window was a little pit unpleasent
Very good location 400 m from Vatican. Nice Italian breakfast.Room lovely and clean nice toiletries.
The room was very clean ( I was feeling like home), the room was comfortable and big, nice furniture, there was a shower booth at the bathroom, the guest house is next to the vatican, very close to metro station even though we always walked through via crescenzio to piazza Navona (10 min walk), many places to eat nearby, very secure area due to the vatican, I will definetely stay at the guest house next time I visit Rome. Everything was perfect!
When we entered the front door of the building there are 2 allevators, take the one at the right
Excellent location VERY close to Vatican and Ottaviano metro station. Quiet room in a very safe building. Excellent neighborhood for breakfast and diner. Best experience in Rome ever.
the location is perfect, the room was very clean
the breakfast was really poor, only a cap of coffe and a croissant.
great location, metro and Vatikan nearby, very testy cafe downstairs in breakfast cafeteria
small room, single beds joined not properly into double bed ... quite dangerous for a couple in romantic Rome
Excellent location, nice neighborhood, friendly and helpful owners, very clean.
Nothing really. Towels were a bit thin but it was not a problem. There is cleaning everyday but towels are changed only in three days. A pair of slippers would be useful since the floor is not carpet.
The location was excellent for exploring St Peters, and the Vatican. Everything of interest was within walking distance. The accommodation was very nice, the building had, a nice atmosphere and lost of character. The staff were excellent and very pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay and will happily stay at the same place again when we visit in the future.
very clean and professional staff
Easy to find, a block away from metro, walking distance to Vatican. Great selection of bistros around. Nice place for breakfast opposite. Owner very friendly and helpful. Good wifi. Very clean and spacious. Would deffo go again.
Very good location, near restaurants, Vatican and metro stop. Super clean, good room layout and very friendly staff.
Beds were a little firm for me, but thats just personal taste.
BEDS VERY NARROW MORE SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. PILLOWS HAS HARD AS BRICKS. NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL. CHAIR IN ROOM HELD TOGETHER WITH CELLOTAPE COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS NO WI FI OFFERED
Brilliant location. Max and family extremely helpful and friendly. Can recommend this guest house.
Was just a bit noisy during the night but you have to expect that in a City.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean and friendly, helpful staff. The location was the best! Walking distance to the Vatican and Metro. Would definately reccommend.
There is no phone in the room and there isn't always someone at the front desk if you need help. I was able to e-mail the staff from my room ( free WIFI ) and got a quick response to my concern.
Welcoming staff. Close to Vatican City, very clean and well presented.
Great location near the metro and the Vatican. Very nice neighborhood next to a busy street but it gets quieter after the Vatican museum closes. Room was in the second floor and it was very quiet as the window was to the inner yard. Easy to move the luggage with the elevator and the building felt very safe as there was a reception downstairs for another hotel. The staff was very lovely and they checked the arrival time beforehand so that we did not need to wait. It was also very easy to contact them as we wanted to settle the invoice on the night before departure. There is a great little restaurant called Rendez Vous on the next street. The host gave us a discount card for nearby restaurant Ai Balestrari and it was nice too. Both had very reasonable prices and great food. Supermarket Carrefour Express is only a few hundred meters from the hotel.
No noises from the other rooms but you can hear everything from the corridor. Cleaning starts early so you will wake up before 9am and the cleaning lady did not knock on the door before opening. The room was a bit dark as there was only one window to the inner yard so no direct sunlight.
