Very friendly atmosphere and right in the centre at Canal Grande You need to ask for fruits and egs at breakfast, they have a better breakfast as it looks like |

The staff were friendly and helpful; the room was lovely (even though Venetian decor is not our style, we liked the room very much); the breakfast room overlooking the canal was excellent; the lounge, also overlooking the canal, was also very good. |

Great location. Big, comfortable room. Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge view from dining room and guest lounge room. All places of interest within reasonable walking distance. Basic buffet breakfast included in room rate. No jug in room - therefore couldn't make own tea or coffee. A basic hotel but a fair rate for this location. |

Well located close by Rialto bridge, but not directly on Grand Canal. Quiet, and friendly staff (with limited English during evening and night hours). Not expensive by Venetian standards. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by, though it pays to explore the back streets where prices can be up to half the tourist rates on the Canal. |

The staff welcomed us with open arms and everyone was really pleaqsant during our stay. It was unfortunate that I wasn't able to stay at the start of our Italy trip. The rooms were a good size and the lounge on the third floor was beautiful. |

Our room was located at the top of a two floor spiral staircase with the bathroom at the lower level and the dining area at the bottom level and behind a flimsy door, a novel experience and yes you could see a bit of the Rialto bridge if you looked over the adjoining building roof tops. |

The hotel is on the Grand Canal in Venice which made it ideal for visiting the city and visiting restaurants. When we were there the festival was on and we were able to see (with great views) the gondalla races from the 2nd floor lounge or the 3rd floor brewakfast area. Mosquitos. At other places we stayed in Italy we were given plug in devices similar to the plug in air fresheners we see here in Canada that emmitted some sort of orour (undetectable by us) that keppt the mosquios at bay. The hotel should look into providing these as I recieved over 8 bites (I usually never get bitten) and my wife and daughter recieved 10 to 20. |

The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The location close to the Rialto bridge was also excellent, but there aren't too many other positive things about the hotel. The room was very small with dirty looking carpet and a view straight into a brick wall. The advertisement photos were taken from the breakfast hall balcony, and the rest of the hotel wasn't what we expected. The bathroom was otherwise decent, but the shower itself was very lousy with water pressure and temperature changing by itself all the time. Below average breakfast. Not a three star hotel. |

Great location, value, and staff. Because of a breakdown in the air conditioning unit, we were upgraded upon our arrival to gorgeous rooms, overlooking the Grand canal and were treated tremendously well by the staff. Room 202 was my junior suite, amazing and 201 was a beautiful double superior. Breakfast was well above adequate, service was impeccable and there are 2 lovely terraces where one can have an apperitivo, a smoke, a cappucino and watch the traffic on the canal. There are comp snacks upon arrival and a well stocked minibar. Lovely. I just wish we could have stayed more days. Plus the hotel has a lift/elevator, a huge plus in Venice. I will definitely return. Nothing negative due to the hotel, but having slept with the windows wide open, we were awakened a tad early by the morning canal traffic. An easily adjusted issue with either earplugs or shutting the windows before bed. |

convenient location, reasonable price....water taxi comes to the doorstep...the area was a bit dingy and smelly because of construction work....but the room was comfy and great inside....right next to rialto bridge....so the best restaurants, shops were all next door.... kinda old building....dingy on the outside....takes 50 Euro from the train station by water taxi.....yikes! |

Easy to find, which is no mean thing in Venice. Knowledgeable and helpful reception staff, prepared to go out of their way to meet guests' needs; personally serving drinks on the terrace is in no receptionists' job description. Great little terrace where one can have a puff - worth advertising since rooms are non-smoking - and watch the gondolas go by. |

I liked the price, The staff really tried hard to accomodate, though they didn't know everything they were friendly and even lent me their computer so I can do my own searches. They were very helpful. I will definately stay again it was good volue for money. central Venice, we could explore the whole city on foot from our location though I would recommend this hotel, it is pretty basic, but you may find it hard to find better for the price. The food isn;t the best, very basic, cereal, croissants, and yougurt juice and coffee. but they don;t claim to have excellent food don;t go there thinking you will get a Full English Breakfast |

Fantastic location, great for couples and families. Breakfast room and food were lovely. Great balcony to sit on and eat snacks and wine bought from the market (cheaper than a bar!!!), overlooks grand canal and rialto bridge. |

The location was fantastic - only a few metres from the Rialto Bridge and easy to find. Hotel reception staff were very friendly. Excellent view over the Grand Canal from the breakfast room. Rather expensive but then again so is everything in Venice, particularly in the summer! At the time of booking it was certainly the best value for money I could find considering its location and 3* rating. Only negative point about the rooms were that the walls are rather thin. |

Nice room decoration, close to the Rialto bridge and not difficult to find. The price, but other hotels are pricey too in Venice. The bath tub could have been cleaner. |

Hotel Carlton has a great location in Venice, 5 minutes on foot from Santa Luca Station, directly on the Grand Canal. It offers large guest rooms with a Venetian design. |
Hotel Rialto has one of the best views of Rialto Bridge in Venice. It is set right next to the Grand Canal and provides beautifully decorated rooms and suites. |
Situated on the Grand Canal, right opposite Venice’s famous Rialto Bridge, Hotel Marconi couldn’t offer a better location. |
The Residenza Ae Ostreghe has an unbeatable location right in the heart of Venice, just 200 metres from Piazza San Marco. |
