Hotel Ferraro is in Rome’s historic center, a 5 minute walk from the Coliseum. Cavour Metro Station is 330 yards away for direct services to Rome Termini Station.
Score from 294 reviews Very good
Breakfast served in your room every morning and help whenever you needed. We had trouble rescheduling a tour at the Coliseum and Alberta made the call and connected us to the right people. She had great suggestions for dinner as well. When we had a problem with our adapter, she loaned us one and directed us to a local store to find a good replacement. We felt like we had a mom looking out for us.
The street was a bit noisy
Alberta is great! My daughter calls her granny & even when we left Rome, she was still looking for her. Thank you Alberta! The location of the hotel is excellent, near the city centre & surrounded by restaurants. We loved our stay here & we will definitely stay on this hotel again.
The location is very near to the metro and walking distance to many tourist attractions.
The bed was rather hard.
Literrally 2 minutes away from metro station 2 minutes walking from Forum & Colosseum Wonderful host who speaks French and will bring your breakfast to your room.
1. Location is great- 10 minutes walk from Colosseum, Roman Forum, and from the metro. about 15minutes away from the Termini (would suggest cabbing it up if you have luggage) 2. This is a compact neat and clean place, with a lot of conveniences for the tourist who is looking to spend most of his day outside- the room has ample cupboard space for short stays, a small clothes drying line, hair dryer, safe, good shower, tea/coffee maker, refrigerator, television. The morning breakfast is sufficient (1 croissant, toasted bread, bun, juice and coffee per person). 3. The bed in our room was fairly large- We could sleep comfortably with our 5-year old son. An extra bed in the room though might make it cramped 4. Alberta is extremely helpful. Any queries/ additional help we required was instantly accommodated.
The window is bolted- I guess due to the smell coming from the restaurant below. This can make the room a bit claustrophobic if you plan to spend long hours in the daytime within the room. The bathroom takes the brunt of the smell. Both these negatives didnt bother us particularly during our stay though
Location was awesome. Within 1.5 miles too all major attractions. Plenty of places to eat choosing where was the hard part.
Shuttle service was not what I expected!! If you need a shuttle to and from airport have to make it a day in advance. Shuttle service doesn't pick you up in front of hotel. You still have to walk to take a cab to train station.
The rooms are spacious and clean, the location is great, the staff is nice.
The owners of this hotel are the same people who work at the front desk. They were very nice people and whenever I had a question about something, they would help us figure it out even if it was something they were not sure about. The location was very close to the colloseum, only a 5-10 minute walk. Also the adjustable air conditioner and a mini-fridge is quite a luxury during those hot summer days. Wifi signals are great too.
Only complaint was the shower curtain was awkward, which caused water to spill out onto the bathroom floor. I was informed to place the shower curtain on the inside but some water still escaped the shower and onto the floor.
Very good location, close to everything you need, just a few steps away. The hotel had everything we needed.
A little noisy in the alley outside our window however it didn't interrupt our sleep.
Hotel Paba is in a great location. It is close to many must-see sites, such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon etc. All within walking distance. Alberta was so lovely. Very helpful and we were sad to leave. We would recommend Hotel Paba to anyone planning a trip to Roma.
Great value for Rome - Central and comfortable
-Coffee! -It's just a small hotel converted from a couple of flats; so if you are looking for luxury and facilities it's not for you.
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff! Alberta was very accomodating, even opening up for us when we arrived super early (6:30am). Close to lots of great food and great sights. Would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Rome.
Spacious room, large bed. Decent size bathroom. Accommodating staff, breakfast delivered into your room. Quiet, especially for its location. Great AC and WIFI. Excellent location for exploring beautiful Roma!
Hotel Paba is a multi-room apartment in one of the grand old houses in the centre of Rome, changed into a cosy hotel, 7 rooms in total. The owner of the hotel Alberta is a grand old lady running her business in a neat, knowing and elegant way. She offers you lovingly furnished rooms, nice Italian breakfasts and a cosy atmosphere. Colosseo, Foro Romano are within a 5-minute walk, but for me meeting this old lady waiting for us in the stairway and letting us in, was worth visiting Rome alone. Ps. Check out the "Cavour 313" restaurant nearby!!!
Smell from the restaurant facing the same well as your window, but that's really nothing.
Staff were very helpful in where to go & how to get there. Room was nice, air conditioned & I slept great.
My room was right next to lobby door, was a bit loud.
No hot water for shower
Excellent location, most of the tourist attractions is in walking distance, and the central train station al well (15 minutes by foot). The staff was very hospital and helpful. Great value for money!
I loved everything about Hotel Paba, Alessio was wonderful, kind and helpful. The rooms were cosy and beautifully decorated. They were meticulously clean. Location is superb, the colloseum is a short walk away! Highly recommended!
location was within walking distance of most sites. Staff was very helpful when we were trying to get tickets to the Vatican on a holiday weekend (who knew?). Room was very small, as expected, but air conditioning welcomed. Setting was very quiet.
Not much that I would complain about. Room was somewhat sterile and the view was of the building next door.
Alberta was so helpful and kind. Room, bathroom and balcony were all lovely. Nice breakfast was brought to our room. Superb location with Roman Forum a short walk down the street.
Quiet and clean. Very good location. Friendly staff and fine breakfast.
Loved the accessibility of all sites from this location either by foot or by Metro. Our room was very tastefully decorated and even though it fronted Via Cavour was very quiet. Breakfast was delivered to our room immediately upon request. Alberta was very helpful in answering any questions which we had.
There is very little not to like abour Hotel Paba. Several reviewers nitpick over the lift and the breakfast but we really enjoyed our stay there. Surprisingly we found it so handy to the Metro and the main scenic attactions are all within a short walking distance. Would definitely return.
Nothing to dislike - if you don't like the breakfast then you can always get an 'American' breakfast on the street outside.
the staff are very kind
breakfast is simple
