Hotel Paganelli  

Got upgraded to a bigger room. Room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable and had a small balcony. Location is excellent, 100m from St Mark square. Friendly staff.

Location, location and location!! And at this price - unbelievable! Definitely recommended for anyone travelling to Venice! Unbelievable value for money!

This hotel was fantastic! Great location, very clean, nice room and very kind helpful staff that made our stay highly enjoyable!

The hotel is right on the main waterway, making it incredibly convenient. It was quiet and the breakfast was very decent. Only 5 minute walk to St. Mark square and only 12-15 minute easy walk through shopping/eating areas to Rialto bridge.

Unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. Last year we stayed at Best Western Hotel Ala near Paganelli, and we should have done that again. My parents stayed in the room next to us, and had several issues with their room. Of the several issues, the only issue the hotel helped with was a leak in the bathroom which never got fully fixed. For the rest of the issues, the hotel reply was a nice, but not very helpful, apology. Our room, even in January, had a mosquito problem (with windows closed the whole time, so they must be hibernating inside the room somewhere). I'm not saying you shouldn't stay here, but the location and convenience should be balanced with the negatives as well.

Friendly staff who went out of their way to help. Clean and comfortable room with cosy decor. Great location - close enough to the main area but not quite as touristy. Great breakfast with good variety of fresh food.

Location, location, location. The hotel is very near St Marks' square. Less than 5 minutes walk, just around the corner from the hotel. The vaporetto stop is almost in front of the hotel. If you are coming from the main train station, take the #1 vaporetto line (45min,6.50euro). Stop at San Zaccaria stop. You need to cross a bridge with a ramp to your right and the hotel in yellow is just in front (facing the Equestrian statue). The staff were friendly and we even got a free room upgrade from a double to a triple room at the main building. The room & bathroom was spacious and clean. We like the wooden beams & chandelier in our room. The breakfast at the annex building was good too (pastries, toast, cheese, ham, cakes, cereal, coffee/tea). Great hotel for the location. Tip: Worth waking up early to watch the sunrise just outside the hotel.

Location

The location of the hotel is excellent for visiting Venice(5 min from Piazza San Marco, by foot) and also for those coming from Marco Polo airport( 1 min from San Zaccaria boat station). The room was very clean, the staff was helpful and polite, breakfast was ok.

The room where we stood was very very small.

Clean, quiet, up to date/renovated, central location, good value

The room was a bit small but that was totally expected considering the price.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is very easy to find and access. It is a central location which made it ideal as a base from which to walk around and discover Venice. It is unpretentious, comfortable and represents good value for money. Hopefully we will return.

Cozy hotel and small balcony with internal view. Newly renovated. Convenient location, the waterbus stop is in front of the hotel and Piazza S. Marco is in 5 mins walk.
