Free upgrade to large deluxe room The same room was advertised on arrival date at half price, and we were told we couldn't get the cheap rate. If we had cancelled the room 3 days earlier, and re-applied would we have got the cheap rate? |

Closeness to centre of Como. Too hot. Could only adjust temperature by turning off heating. Lack of ventilation required opening windows. Result was unwanted noise. |

Very central location, right in the heart of Como. Internet should be free and not of charge. |

We were extremely pleased with the staff, the availabilty of internet in the room, the breakfast, and our room - After spending two nights at the Hotel Danieli (at a much greater cost) the Palace was a dream. |

The location was the main reason to choose the Palace. It's 2 minutes away from one of the train stations and the ferries are right in front. The size of the room was also a plus. Although we supposedly stayed in one of the best located rooms, there was a private event going on right below us, on a Saturday night. From our bed, we could feel the floor trembling with the voice of the musician, but it stopped at midnight. Also, the bathroom was clean and spacious, but it can be updated. |

It was at the very center. It has nice rooms especially if you book one with the view. The fact there where keys for the rooms and not cards. |

At the city center, safe parking place in the hotel yard. The design of the rooms is old fashioned. |

The location It was an odissey really! Hotel staff couldn't be more rude. I had booked a superior double room, lakeview, non smoking. I got a very small room with an awful stench of cigarrette. It took them 4 rooms to get me what I had paid for, no more no less, even though they argued they were fully booked. To top it all, a shirt of mine disappeared during the room cleaning. It was a white one and I can write it off as a mistake from the cleaning ladies, but they did absolutely nothing about it! They offered me no alternative and I was very tempted to call the police. I ended up not doing so as I'm sure it would accomplish nothing and I was tired of aggravation as it was. So, DEFINITELY, choose a different hotel whilst at Como! |

Leave train station from the lake side gate, turn left walk 2 min and turn left you are at the garden of a great hotel... wonderful... no taxis! Boat's wharf 1 min walk... Be careful after the shower. 'cause the tiles get wet easily and can be slippy after shower. There must be a good shower curtain instead of the present half window panel. |

Buffet breakfast was ok but not great. Staff was basic. Room was comfortable but not a 4 star. Location was perfect, 2 min walk to the lake, 1 min to centre village of Como, 30 min drive to Bellagio which is the most beautiful village of the region of Como. |

The air conditioned rooms the cleanes and the quit atmosphere of the hotel to wait at the hotel bar for a drink was like to wait for a six plates menu, arround 40 minutes waiting for two drinks. It was to much. STarnge we found that at point 10:00 AM you cant have breakfast, even dishes on your table are taked out |

Location is very central, to reach the lake front you just need to cross the road. Good parking possibility, however not all supervised. The restaurant is quite good but the rooms are small and not very comfortable. |

The hotel has a beautiful location on the shore of the lake. The staff of the hotel was very helpful and polite. A very classical style hotel. The standard room was very basic, with out-dated furniture, limited view. The bathroom needs refurbishment. The air conditioning and TV were very old. Breakfast was fair with place for improvement regarding the assortment of food and promptness of the service. |

A most impressive facade on a location right on the Lake side so you can walk to restaurants and bars in the area. |

Had great staff, good breakfast and across the road from Lake Cruises. Was only about 5 mins by taxi from Como San Giovanni Train Station and a couple of minutes walk from several great lakeside restaurants. We travelled with our 2 yr old son and he was treated like a little King by all the staff, though we felt it wasn't really a hotel for small children. The lifts were tiny and there was no general internet access on site. We were referred to their 'sister' hotel 3 mins walk away and it was 5 Euro for 30 mins. |

Facing the most romantic lake in the world, Hotel Barchetta Excelsior welcomes you in the heart of Como. Set within the main square, the hotel is on the lake front. |
Are you looking for a central location in Como? But you obviously want a great view across the lake as well. Stay at Albergo Terminus and you have both. |
The hotel, completely refurbished, is located in the heart of the city, 15 minutes walk from the lake and 400 metres from the pedestrian area in the historical centre. |
Hotel Metropole & Suisse is nestled in Como, between the Swiss border and the city of Milano. |
