The position and building were great. The problem was that we booked the top end of accomodation and were palmed off an inferior room. Very small and limited view. The breakfast was well catered for and the gardens beautiful. The problem was that we booked the top end of accomodation and were palmed off an inferior room. Very small and limited view.Exterior is no reflection of the interior. Some staff were very couteous but one in particular at the reception was incredibly rude with poor people skills.Television was also 15 years old and didn't work properly. |

The location is perfect for activities in Como, they have on site parking and a bar/restaurant combination. Great exterior appearance. The desk staff was less than helpful, they could care less about customers. The rooms are clinical and without any character, much like staying in a hospital room, a very small hospital room. |

When we arrived at the hotel we were offered the chance to upgrade to a suite for a extra 30 euros with a lake view, as it was the last night of our honeymoon we took this offer. When we got to our 'suite' it was the smallest room we had been allocated on our trip. Thought that the selection provided at the breakfast buffet was very poor. All the other hotels we stayed in during our Honeymoon in Italy included warm food e.g. eggs and bacon at no additional cost. Also couldn't believe that they were charging 5 euros for a fresh orange juice at breakfast. Have enjoyed far superior breakfasts in Holiday Inn express on previous holidays. |

Central location was good and the staff were reasonably helpful. Room had an excellent view over Lake Como. Very austere and clinical. Lacked attractive internal lounges and space where you could sit out in the open. |

Location to town and the restaurant staff/service were very good Yes the car park charge for the garden is not a good impression to a customer when the garage is the same price. bad taste. NO music or ambiance in the bar. |

The location is perfect. The room was very big (although it looked at the back at a staircase- probably it depends on the rate of the room). We found expensive the parking charge, given the existing parking space oh the hotel. |

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location to visit other towns on Lake Como--steps away from the boat that takes you around the lake. Walking distance to an inexpensive grocery and a mini bar to store food in. No noise issues at all. Excellent hotel. |

Location. It was centrally located in Lake Como City. Right across from the boats to tour Lake Como. The complimentary breakfast was very good and served in a beautiful room. The Garden Bar was a bit disappointing. Inside was very hot. No air conditioning. It was too hot to sit outside. Charged 6 Euros for ice sent to our room. |

Facing the most romantic lake in the world, Hotel Barchetta Excelsior welcomes you in the heart of Como. Set within the main square, the hotel is on the lake front. |
After a full refurbishment, this newly-appointed 4-star hotel, situated on the lake-front, enjoys one of the most enchanting positions on Como, opposite Bellagio and adjacent to Villa Carlotta. |
Are you looking for a central location in Como? But you obviously want a great view across the lake as well. Stay at Albergo Terminus and you have both. |
Clarion Collection Hotel Griso Lecco is located between the Lake of Como and the mountains, conveniently close to city centre and its venues. |
