It is a beautifully situated hotel on top of a hill, it is quiet and shows the splendor of the early 20the century. It is very well maintained has a good kitchen and breakfast buffet that is excellent. You need to take the car or the hotel shuttle bus to get into near by city of Varese. |

Location for my work. Close to Malpensa airport. Good area for walks (exercise). Good size room, bed and great bathroom. Bedroom had a strange humming noise during the night and morning. Very hard to sleep and relax with non stop humming. Breakfast was average food - nothing very hot, bread was not fresh and coffee was over-brewed and not hot. I ordered an expresso and it was not hot either. Poor standard in my opinion. Bed was really hard and pillows were hard as well - not the greatest sleep. |

Excellent service and friendly staff. Granted a wonderful view of the lake with a king size bed. Free shuttle service to the centre and a shuttle service to Milan Malpensa. It's not a minus point, just a word to future guests. The hotel is central but should you not have a car it's a long walk/climb to the hotel if the shuttle service has stopped running. |

We enjoyed very much the nice room, the good restaurant and the beautiful park. The quality and the size of the room is above the hotel class. Nice hotel if you are on a journey through italy. |

I enjoyed this hotel, I liked the view, the room, and the grandness of the hotel and grounds. We had a very large room and a very large bath area. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke english. The breakfast was included and was extensive, plenty of options to choose from. Parking was plentiful and free. |

Very nice, old style rooms with view on the lake. Lokated at the top of a little mountain, very peaceful and quiet. Hotel employees are very cooperative and are willing to arrange a lot for you. |

Recently rennovated inside. Very good place with a nice view at the lake. Big rooms and a very nice old style of preview centuries. Needs a good rennovation outside. The breakfast buffet was a little bit poor. |

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were very well manicured. We were given a room with the lake view and when we walked out on our balcony were delighted to see that we also had full view of the Alps. Coming from the USA, the sight was breathtaking. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious and dinner was very good and the service excellent. The staff was not as friendly as they should have been. They were, however, very efficient. It would have been nice to see more smiles and customer interaction. |

It is a very grand hotel and make syou feel important. I think that the rooms should have had tea and coffee making facilities. The steps up to the hotel are very old and slippery and should be modernised. The owner of the hotel should not have been breaking the law by smoking in the bar yesterday morning. I did tell him to stop though and he did. |

Staff were friendly and accommodating and tried hard to please. Restaurant closed. News of this came too late to change booking. No restaurants in walking distance. Disapointing. Hotel decor was tired and outdated. |
