Hotel bellissimo e molto silenzioso. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Le camere veramente belle e spaziose. La colazione e' di altissima qualita'. Senz'altro da consigliare.

Bellissima dimora patrizia. Ampio giardino interno ottimo per relax e colazione. Porta d'acqua da rio Santa sofia da cui è possibile prendere direttamente un taxi per un tour della città. Personale molto cortese e discreto.

Hotel molto efficiente con ottimo staff, molto buona la colazione e la pulizia della camere e dei luoghi comuni. Hotel molto silenzioso.

C'è stato solo un momento di panico con la serratura della stanza, visto che anche quella è "d'epoca" e c'ho messo un attimo ad abituarmi... Ma per il resto, tutto perfetto!

It is a beautiful place in traditional Venician style. Quiet location, but close enough to the centre.

The value for money is not great compared to anywhere outside Venice. Comparing with other places in Venice is hard, as we did not stay anywhere else. Also don't expect any traditional facilities you would see in similar hotels outside Venice.

We liked this place so much that we returned to it in the same day after we had our outbound flight cancelled. Superb facilities, lovely environment, excellent staff.

The service was superb with an attentive front desk,, especially Matteo, and breakfast room personnel who took care of our every request with a smile. The room which overlooked a canal was comfortable and well appointed although a bit small. The location was within easy walking distance of the Ghetto, Rialto Bridge and five minutes from the vaporetto stop. The ambiance made us feel as though we were guests in the palace. We have already recommended Palazzo Abadessa to our friends.

Hotel was converted private residence built in 1500s which became a hotel 10 yrs ago. Rooms were large, full of antiques and common areas similar. Staff very obliging and welcoming. Private garden area underused at this time of year, but would be lovely in the summer months. Would happily stay here again.

Previous guests had smoked in our room, even though entire hotel has non-smoking policy; the smell lingered in the room despite the staff trying to clear it away. Fortunately we were able to shift to another room, but it makes you wonder about how inconsiderate other people can be!

It looks and feels like a palazzo and was warm and comfortable even during a cold December stay. The garden on one side looks enticing and the canal on the other makes arrival just like an average Venetian fantasy.

The night porter was rather grumpy and there was some unnecessary confusion about double-booking a water taxi on departure. Avoid their restaurant recommendations as both of the ones I received were poor.

Staff and location away from the tourist district were real plusses. Easy to get to, excellent service, delicious breakfast was included, restaurant recommendations were top notch, hotel was a one time embassy so furnishings and style as well as grounds were beautiful and totally in the lush spirit of Venice.

They did not have my selected room for the first night, although the replacement room was much cheaper and equally nice though smaller.

We stayed at this hotel in the suite in October 2012. We were amazed by a very spacious bed, antique furniture, a huge Murano glass chandelier. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were having our breakfasts in the beautiful garden. The hotel lobby was also furnished with antique furniture. The location is next to Rialto bridge. We will definitely stay at this hotel again as it was like living in a ferry tale. If you want to live like a Doge and fully enjoy Venice, you should choose this hotel!

That old building with it's interior is the best choice for that beautiful old city. Excellent placement. Excellent staff. Everything is perfect.

Beautiful palace, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, superb aesthetics with period furniture and grand rooms to name but a few. Felt like my home in Venice.

We received a warm, friendly greeting plus a bottle of champaign with a bowl of fresh fruit upon our arrival. The entire staff showed not only courtesy, but were invaluable in helping us find our way around Venice. We enjoyed a delicious, multi-faceted breakfast outside in their magical garden.

Because the hotel is a renovated classic mansion, our relic of a room key gave us difficulties in locking and unlocking the ancient door to our room.

From the time we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome in this sumptuous old-world hotel. The staff were all very helpful. We chose one of the smaller rooms on the ground floor, but even this was elegant and tastefully furnished. We were surprised how quiet the room was given the hotel is only 50m or so from one of the busiest thoroughfares in Venice. The garden makes a beautifully tranquil break after pounding the pavements. if we ever go back to Venice I'm sure we will choose Palazzo Abadessa again.

We were surprised there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room though this did not bother us at all.
